  • Compiling OpenSSL for boost asio for Microsoft Visual Studio 2010

    I compiled boost with bjam, and then I compiled OpenSSL. Both of them work separately. I set up the links in Visual Studio 10 to point to my OpenSSL library directory. But when I attempt to compile example boost ssl asio programs I get 44 unresolved external linker errors like this one: 1testing.obj : error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol _SSLv23_server_method referenced in function "public: void __thiscall boost::asio::ssl::detail::openssl_context_service::create(struct ssl_ctx_st * &,enum boost::asio::ssl::context_base::method)" (?create@openssl_context_service@detail@ssl@asio@boost@@QAEXAAPAUssl_ctx_st@@W4method@context_base@345@@Z) Can you please give me step-by-step instructions on properly linking OpenSSL to boost?   • TTRequestLoader always raises "TTDASSERT failed: _cacheKey == request.cacheKey"

    I run the TTCatalog application from the Three20 library and encountered this error when click on the "Photo Thumbnails" of the "Three20 Catalog": TTDASSERT failed: _cacheKey == request.cacheKey I look at the breakpoint and see that it is on line 119 of TTRequestLoader.m of the method addRequest. I know that it failed to do the assertion of the cacheKey, but why this error appears even on the sample application, does anyone encounter the same error? What is the workaround of this? Thanks, P/S: I downloaded the Three20 from the git directory just yesterday. So I assume this be the newest one.

  • 10035 error on a blocking socket

    Does anyone have any idea what could cause a 10035 error (EWOULDBLOCK) when reading on a blocking socket with a timeout? This is under Windows XP using the .NET framework version 3.5 socket library. I've never managed to get this myself, but one of my colleagues is getting it all the time. He's sending reasonably large amounts of data to a much slower device and then waiting for a response, which often gives a 10035 error. I'm wondering if there could be issues with TCP buffers filling up, but in that case I would expect the read to wait or timeount. The socket is definitely blocking, not non-blocking.

    I'm trying to get YouTube feeds with the python gdata library. Authentication features work ok, yt_service.ProgrammaticLogin() works, generating subauth token works, etc., but when I try to get some feeds (GetMostRecentVideoFeed, GetYouTubeVideoEntry, even GetFeed, and any other) I get: RequestError: {'status': 302, 'body': '<HTML><HEAD><meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html;charset=utf-8">\n<TITLE>302 Moved</TITLE></HEAD><BODY>\n<H1>302 Moved</H1>\nThe document has moved\n<A HREF="http://www.google.com">here</A>.\r\n</BODY></HTML>\r\n', 'reason': 'Redirect received, but redirects_remaining <= 0'} 302 to 'google.com'??? I've even tried to do something from the google online tutorials and I get the same error. What's going on?

    Hi. I'm finding a way to extract semantic structural informations (like title, heading, paragraph or lists) from PDF. Because I want to get a pure structural data from PDF. Finally, I want to create an pure XHTML from the PDF. With only structural informations. No design or layout. I know, PDF can be created without any structural information. I don't consider those PDFs. Only regularly well-structured PDFs are considered. I'm new to PDF. So I don't know it offers regular semantic structure or not. If it exists, it's library will offer it. So I want to know whether PDF spec has those information, and best way to get those information if exists.

    Hay, i can't seem to send emails using send_mail(), and I'm not sure why.     Hi, We have a requirement to upload documents to a specific SharePoint document library when a document is sent via email to a specific email address. I think SharePoint has this feature available. What I would like to know more importantly is mapping the information in the body of the email to the custom properties of the document. For example, if a custom field (property) is added to the document in SharePoint say - "Year". I provide the value of this property within the body of the email and attach the document in email. Is it possible that the provided value in the body of the email for the property is updated in SharePoint when the document is uploaded to SharePoint through email? We are using SharePoint 2007. Appreciate any information on this. Thanks

  • Are there any free .NET OCR libraries that will perform OCR on an application window directly?

    I am looking for a free .NET OCR library that will be able to do OCR on a given application window or even a image in memory (I can take a snapshot of the application window myself). I have looked at tessnet2 and MODI but both require an image located on disk. I need to use OCR because the application I am trying to write a script for does some wacky stuff that cannot be read using windows API and I need to scrape data from the screen. I have tested both of tessnet2 and MODI and they both can read the text mostly but because this has to run in an enviroment that will not be able to write to disk, I need it to be able to read directly from the applciation window or some type of memory stream. I am thinking OCR is my only soution but there could be other methods that I am not thinking of. Suggestions?

My problem is I want user create template from the admin panel, it means all template will be stored into database including all Dwoo variable and functions.My questions: Is it possible to load dwoo template from database? How to parse dwoo variable or function from database?   • Drag and drop: jQuery UI or Scriptaculous?

    Dear all, I am in the middle of the road whether to use jQuery UI or Scriptaculous for drag and drop. I am using Ruby on Rails, and Scriptaculous support in Ruby on Rails is superb with the existence of scriptaculous_helper.rb. But I have already use jQuery for the ajax and DOM manipulation. I do not mind to use scriptaculous since we can use jQuery.noConflict() in the code. I also kind of get the impression that scriptaculous drag and drop is better than jQuery UI drag and drop based on the online demos. So back to the original question, which one would you recommend as a drag and drop library and which one do you think is better than the other? Scriptaculous or jQuery UI?

Often apps with ZF looks like that: root public index.php .htaccess application library I have sth. like that: root application index.php .htaccess All my code is in the application folder. But there are also some .ini and .xml files with sensitive information e.g. login names and passwords and so on... If I add a .htaccess in the application folder with deny from all is the information secure inside the folder?

    Tableau is extremely flexible when it comes to visualizing and playing around with datasets, but it is extremely slow when you go into "production mode" and publish a particular view that you've created onto your server. Does anyone know of any tools that can be used to connect to a database, present interactive (or somewhat interactive) dashboards, and perform reasonably well when published to a server? To be clearer, I am looking for something like this -- http://www.corda.com/executive-dashboard-graph-styles.php. I realize that such a product might not exist. If so, is there a particular framework or library that I could use to create killer interactive visualizations of data for the web?

  • Changing system colors for a single application (Windows, .NET)

    I know I should generally avoid messing up with such system settings, but my application do already use nonstandard colors and I have no influence on that. I would like to be able to add standard .NET controls in some places, but their colors do not match. I would like to have a hack that would replace system colors for this one application. One more important thing to note is that it is a .NET application. My (incomplete) ideas so far were: To create a proxy User32.dll library with replaced GetSysColor, but it would be very tedious (731 functions to be redirected, 1 to be replaced) and I do not know how to force my application to use that particular copy. To intercept somehow invocations to GetSysColors (unfortunatelly it is somewhere in the CLR I think). To modify somehow .NET class SystemColors (in memory? is it possible?). Do you have any idea, what is the best (and complete) way to achieve this?

  • Does performance even matter anymore? [closed]

    The performance differences between C/C++ and C# are astounding. An ASP.NET page loads in 1/8 the time that a PHP script does haha.... WPF, aka " The Future ", (you know it will be, all the companies are gonna want cool looking desktop apps, don't kid yourself.) And it has huge performance hits just to start up. We've let Microsoft make us as developers lazy! Why do I hate this, it's such a good thing? Are we at a point in time where the majority of computers can handle this kinda crap? I remember when performance used to matter. Anyways, I'm writing a .NET library and ever since I found out LINQ is slower than traditional delegates which is slower than the normal procedural code... well it's a guilty evil I feel for every LINQ query I write, because they are so beautiful. Am I just too much of a performance stickler? Or just too big of a nerd?

    Hi, I created an GWT project in eclipse. Now I tried to implement openId with using the openid4java library. I imported the .jar files via properties--java build path: openid4java-0.9.5.jar lib/*.jar In addition I copied the .jar files into the war/WEB-INF/lib directory. The problem at hand comes up when I call the authenticate() method. Then I get a: HTTP ERROR 500 Problem accessing /openid/openid. When I learned it, I had only 1 file and I built it with command: gcc -shared -Wl,-soname,hello.so -o hello.so test.cpp -I /usr/include/python2.6/ -lboost_python And I don't know how to configure it in whole project. I'm using Eclipse and Code::Blocks IDEs.

    I will have one streaming-server (W2k8, unknown streaming protocol [rtsp, mss, http]) and half dozen streaming-servers as proxies to save bandwidth. I have read the documentation and installed the modules, but I am unsure how I have to configure the proxy's according to http://technet.microsoft.com/de-de/library/ee126142(en-us,WS.10).aspx - as a proxy or reverse proxy and how I minimize the bandwidth needs between origin server and proxy's. What is the best way to realize my setup? Any short how-tos? How can I announce all players to use the proxy? Route all rtsp/mms/http-requests through my proxy? Announce the proxy with DHCP-releases?     I'm writing an ASP.NET MVC 2 application where one of the backing stores I plan to support is XML. I have a POCO that represents the settings for the site, along with an XML file to contain these settings. My question is what is the best way to validate this data as it is read from disk in to the POCO? I know I can use an XSD, or maybe use the Data Annotations library to mark up the POCO, and use reflection to validate the data, but is there another way, perhaps in .NET 3.5 or MVC to do this? I've spent some time Googling this issue, and want to be sure I'm doing it in the best manner. Thanks in advance!

    I am about to write an audio file converter for my side job at the university. As part of this I would need sample rate conversion. However, my professor said that it would be pretty hard to write a sample rate converter that was both of good quality and fast. On my research on the subject, I found some functions in the OSX CoreAudio-framework, that could do a sample rate conversion (AudioConverter.h). After all, an OS has to have some facilities to do that for its own audio stack. Do you know a similar method for C/C++ and Windows, that are either part of the OS or open source? I am pretty sure that this function exists within DirectX Audio (XAudio2?), but I seem to be unable to find a reference to it in the MSDN library.
