• How to Get SharePoint PowerShell to use .NET 2

  I'm having a couple of problems with PowerShell. First, the PS configuration installed by SharePoint 2010 keeps popping this message: The local farm is not accessible. Cmdlets with FeatureDependencyId are not registered. I've googled that, and given everybody and their second cousin Sharepoint_Shell_Access to the config DB, with no luck. So, I wanted to try some of the PS commands. In this case, however, I'm getting a different error: Microsoft SharePoint is not supported with version 4.0.30319.17929 of the Microsoft .Net Runtime. I get that SP can't use .NET 4.0 or 4.5, but I can't find any suggestions on how to get PS to use the "right" version of .NET. I've found some references for something called PowerGUI, and changing the psgui.exe.config, but I don't have that. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to solve the .NET version problem? • Undefined behaviour with non-virtual destructors - is it a real-world issue?

  Consider the following code: class A { public: A() {} ~A() {} }; class B: public A { B() {} ~B() {} }; A* b = new B; delete b; // undefined behaviour My understanding is that the C++ standard says that deleting b is undefined behaviour - ie, anything could happen. But, in the real world, my experience is that ~A() is always invoked, and the memory is correctly freed. if B introduces any class members with their own destructors, they won't get invoked, but I'm only interested in the simple kind of case above, where inheritance is used maybe to fix a bug in one class method for which source code is unavailable. Obviously this isn't going to be what you want in non-trivial cases, but it is at least consistent. Are you aware of any C++ implementation where the above does NOT happen, for the code shown?

  Hi, As my question title could be bit unclear to you (I tried best), following is what I'm exactly trying to do. I'm having a form element (say a user_info form), where such form elements will be generated for different users by java script and displayed in different js tabs (example: dojo tabs). once form elements are generated, later I need to react on user actions performed on different html elements defined inside user_info form. In this case I need to identify what is the context (in which user_info form element) in which user is working on. The simplest example would be how to retrieve form id of the form in which user actions are being performed. According to my understanding, I can not simply retrieve from by form id, because now DOM tree contains duplicate form instances of the same from element. So, IS there anyway, I could identify form context based on the user actions on its input elements. Thank You.

  This is about a web app that serves images. Since the same request will always return the same image, I want the accessing browsers to cache the images as aggressively as possible. I pretty much want to tell the browser Here's your image. Go ahead and keep it; it's really not going to change for the next couple of days. No need to come back. Really. I promise. I do, so far, set Cache-Control: public, max-age=86400 Last-Modified: (some time ago) Expires: (two days from now) and of course return a 304 not modified if the request has the appropriate If-Modified-Since header. Is there anything else I can do (or anything I should do differently) to get my message across to the browsers? The app is hosted on the Google App Engine, in case that matters.

  Say I have a function func(i) that creates an object for an integer i, and N is some nonnegative integer. Then what's the fastest way to create a list (not a range) equal to this list mylist = [func(i) for i in range(N)] without resorting to advanced methods like creating a function in C? My main concern with the above list comprehension is that I'm not sure if python knows beforehand the length of range(N) to preallocate mylist, and therefore has to incrementally reallocate the list. Is that the case or is python clever enough to allocate mylist to length N first and then compute it's elements? If not, what's the best way to create mylist? Maybe this? mylist = [None]*N for i in range(N): mylist[i] = func(i)

• C++: How to use types that have not been defined?

  C++ requires all types to be defined before they can be used, which makes it important to include header files in the right order. Fine. But what about my situation: Bunny.h: class Bunny { ... private: Reference<Bunny> parent; } The compiler complains, because technically Bunny has not been completely defined at the point where I use it in its own class definition. This is not sufficient: class Bunny; class Bunny { ... private: Reference<Bunny> parent; } Apart from re-writing my template class Reference so it takes a pointer type (in which case I can use the forward declaration of Bunny), I don't know how to solve this. Any suggestions?

  This must be a FAQ, but I can’t find a duplicate question! There are lot of different attributes that control what the WinForm Designer does with properties on a custom control, I am never clear on the one I should use in this case. I am looking for: Designer does not show property in grid Designer does not read value of property Designer does not set property to default value E.g. Designer behaves as if the property was not there. Designer does not complain if it has already done one of the above before the attributes were added (hard!) Background. The code that is giving me the problem is: this.eventListControl.FilterSets = ((SystList<FilterSet>)(resources.GetObject("eventListControl.FilterSets"))); The FilterSets property should never have been touched by the winforms designer; it is now not Serializable and MsDev falls over every time a form that used the eventListControl is changed!

• Determining Cross Domain Active Directory Group Membership

  I am currently working on a project where I need to query Active Directory to determine group membership of a user. I initially was locating the user and retrieving the memberOf attribute. The problem with this is that there is a domain and a child domain. The groups are universal groups so they can be used in both domains and they don't show up in the memberOf attribute. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much info around for Active Directory access with C++. Is there anyway to determine group membership in this case in C++?

I am getting the following error: Fatal error: Call to a member function error() on a non-object in /home/gamepla3/public_html/football/result.php on line 177 The line for this is <?php echo $form->error("homescore"); ?> I'm failing to see how this could be the case? The thing worked fine before I added working code into my html document so it looked better. Now I can't get it working?? EDIT. When the code is not within HTML, it works fine. Once I have it within the HTML, it throws back an error? Has anyone seen anything like this before?

• best way to build iphone settings screen

  I'm building a settings screen for an iPhone app and it is supposed to resemble a grouped table view. Each "cell" should behave like a button. Most cells just have a image view, label view, and disclosure indicator. One will display a value in addition to a label. All of these buttons will present a new view when tapped. Now, how to implement this? I was considering just laying out a set of buttons with custom background images, or would it be best to just use a table view. If that's the case what should it be implemented. So far I've only used table views to display some kind of dynamic data in which each cell displayed the same basic detail view. I'm most curious to figure out how to setup cellForRowAtIndexPath. Would this contain some sort of switch statement to configure each cell individually, or is there an easier way to handle all this?

  If i takes larger datatype where i know i should have taken datatype that was sufficient for possible values that i will insert into a table will affect any performance in sql server in terms of speed or any other way. eg. IsActive (0,1,2,3) not more than 3 in any case. I know i must take tinyint but due to some reasons consider it as compulsion, i am taking every numeric field as bigint and every character field as nVarchar(Max) Please give statistics if possible, to let me try to overcoming that compulsion. I need some solid analysis that can really make someone rethink before taking any datatype.

  I need a comparison table of some sort for database varieties (MySQL, SQLite etc.). I can't find one. My use case is, I am implementing storage of objects in a distributed hash table. I need a database solution that is: Fast for sorting Simplistic (no users, preferably no additional structures like multiple tables etc.) Concurrent (if possible) Multi-platform File based (not stored in memory primarily) Centralized I will be programming in Go. As I understand, I believe I need what is called a Document Orientated Database, because I am storing objects, identified by keys.   I am trying to design a sqlite database that will store notes. Each of these notes will have common fields like title, due date, details, priority, and completed. In addition though, I would like to add data for more specialized notes like price for shopping list items and author/publisher data for books. I also want to have a few general purpose fields that users can fill with whatever text data they want. How can I design my database table in this case? I could just have a field for each piece of data for every note, but that would waste a lot of fields and I'd like to have other options and suggestions.

  Hi all. I'm using ubuntu linux, and I use bash from with a terminal emulator every day for many tasks. I would like to know how to find a string or a substring within a file that is within a particular directory. If I was knew the file which contained my target substring, I would just cat the file and pipe it through grep, thus: cat file | grep mysubstring But in this case, the pesky substring could be anywhere within a known directory. How do I hunt down my substring ?

We are having user tables which is having all field required for user table like firstname,lastname and other fields that table is also there in our DBML files.Now the problem is that we are having a stored procedure that is mapped to table-User returning a field called fullname (Combination of firstname and lastname)which is not there in usertable. So what is the best way to slove this. Another thing is that one of other stored procedure return inner join of two tables with mix columns in this case how can i mapped that stored procedure with Table mapped info class in our dbml files.

• How can I clear the appcache on the Google Chrome iPad app?

  I've written a little HTML5 based web app that I am trying to debug on the iPad using the Chrome for iPad app. I have added a cache.manifest file to my app which has some heavy caching in it of most static resources however since I am now wanting to debug the app I need a way to clear this cache. I know that on Chrome for Mac you can use: chrome://appcache-internals/ however this page does not exist in the iPad app of Chrome. The regular "Clear Browsing Data" does not empty the appcache —at least not in my case. Does anyone know how I can clear the appcache for the Chrome iPad app?

• Get Relative Path to Linked Resource in C#

  I have a number of linked resources (text files in this case) in a C# project I am working on. I know the resources are linked via relative path in the Resources file. Is there any way to get that relative path from within the C# code? If there isn't, what I am trying to do is to pass that resources file to an external application as a commandline argument. If I can't do it the first way (which would obviously be the easiest) any other suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

  Suppose I have a web app with a servlet defined in web.xml. Then I deploy it on Tomcat. Then I open my browser and go to the link to this servlet, it is invoked. Then I close my browser window. How Session behaves ? How is it created, destroyed in this case? if this servlet is "detached" from all the web app, and gets parameters only using post & get, so it does not need Session at all, should one use Session.invalidate at the end of doGet(), doPost() ?

• How can I detect when the .NET Framework feature is "turned off" in Windows 7 / Vista?

  My application requires the .NET Framework version 3.5. I recently ran into a customer that had the .NET Framework installed but turned off on Windows Vista (also applies to Windows 7). In this case, my installer (InstallShield 2009) does not prompt the user to install the Framework (because it is already installed) and when my application runs it crashes immediately. I tried another .NET application and it also crashes immediately. Is there any way to detect this situation and handle it more gracefully? Just detecting this during install is not ideal since the .NET Framework can be turned off at any time. Ideally, the application would be able to check and display a friendly message to the user telling them they need to turn on the .NET Framework. EDIT: "Turning off" the .NET Framework in Windows Vista or Windows 7 is not the same as uninstalling it.   Let's say I have an object - a User object in this case - and I'd like to be able to track changes to with a separate class. The User object should not have to change it's behavior in any way for this to happen. Therefore, my separate class creates a "clean" copy of it, stores it somewhere locally, and then later can compare the User object to the original version to see if anything changed during its lifespan. Is there a function, a pattern, or anything that can quickly compare the two versions of the User object? Option 1 Maybe I could serialize each version, and directly compare, or hash them and compare? Option 2 Maybe I should simply create a ReflectionClass, run through each of the properties of the class and see if the two versions have the same property values? Option 3 Maybe there is a simple native function like objects_are_equal($object1,$object2);? What's the fastest way to do this?
