  Hi I'm working with c# simple application to display system date time. textbox.Text = DateTime.Now.ToString("MM/dd/yyyy"); but it is showing result as : 05-12-2010 What is the problem with this code? or do I need to change any where in the regional settings of my machine. thank you

  in my .htaccess i've got these lines: RewriteEngine on RewriteCond $1 !^(index\.php|images|robots\.txt) RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php/$1 [L] i tried to include js files with this line: <script type="text/javascript" src="system/application/media/js/jquery/jquery.js"></script> but it doesnt work since the rules dont let it pass. it works when i turn the rewrite engine off. how can i change the rules so it allows url with a /js, /css and /img? thanks

• Where does GoogleAppEngineLauncher keep the local log files?

  GoogleAppEngineLauncher can display the local log file of my app while it is running on my Mac during development. However, I can't change the font size there so I would like to use the tail command to watch the log file myself. It's a shame but I can't find the log files. They are not under /var/log/, ~/Library/Logs or /Library/Logs. Do you know where they are?

• IE6 is duplicating characters, can't figure out why. Suggestions?

  Problem is located on http://www.preownedweddingdresses.com/ We have a dresses slider at the bottom, select tabs different dresses shown. Works fine everywhere else, but for some reason, in IE6, the letters "ls" (from the tab "Best Deals") are duplicating inside the content and causing rendering issues. I've yet to find anything that can fix this, or anything that can be blamed for causing this either. I've changed the letters at the end of Best Deals, and the duplicated letters change as well. Open to any suggestions.

  I need to make a program that shows the hash value of a given key, using extendible hashing. In extendible hashing, I know that the buckets split and directories change. So if I make my program, do I have to already know things like if the bucket it hashes to is filled, or do I not have to worry about those things and just compute a hash value based on the key?

  After upgrade to PHP 5.3 my application is returning DB2 columns with Timestamp type as "2010-12-15-10.23.22.716000". This is causing problem for PHP DateTime function, as it fails with Failed to parse time string (2010-12-15-10.23.22.716000) at position 25 (0): Unexpected character It seems its having a problem with too much accuracy in DB2 timestamp. Can I somehow force connection to change timestamp format with it is fetching data into?

• VS2010 Database Compare. How do you create a *.DBSchema extensioned file?

  I'd like to take a snapshot of my database, make some changes and then use the db compare functionality to identify the changes, and who knows, maybe even generate scripts to make the change. I'd like to avoid having to backup the current db and restore it as a separate db just to have a "before" snapshot. I'm guessing I shouldn't have to. Obsviously, I'm clueless about db projects and am looking to be pointed in the right direction. ty!

  Hi, I'd like to know if it is "ok" to write a test without any "assert" in it. So the test would fail only when an exception / error has occured. Eg: like a test which has a simple select query, to ensure that the database configuration is right.   The only reason I can think of is that calculating ETag's might be expensive. If pages change very quickly, the browser's cache is likely to be invalidated by the ETag. In that case, calculating the ETag would be a waste of time. On the other hand, a giving a 304 response when possible minimizes the amount of time spent in transmission. What are some good guidelines for when ETag's are likely to be a net winner when implemented with Django's CommonMiddleware?

• C# rotate a string 180 degrees

  Hi im having a few problems rotating a string, i found that you need graphics.rotate() but when i change the rotation, i cannot even see the string. It appears the pivot point has completely thrown me. Also i saw an example with transform but i decided i did not need this? If my string was a graph label, reading top to bottom and i needed to rotate it 180 degrees so that it read bottom to top, how would i do this? Thanks in advance
