  • php Services_Facebook: some users are considered as not logged-in

    Hiya. I'm using Services_Facebook pear package with php 5.3.2 to create a facebook app, it seems that some users can see the application and the application can fetch their info properly, and on some users that script detects as they're not logged in. using the default example as shown in the following URL: http://wiki.developers.facebook.com/index.php/PHP using latest Services_Facebook version. any ideas? thanks

    What should we use in jboss-log4j.xml in order to turn on/off traces for our product - "category" or "logger" tag? By default JBoss uses "category" in jboss-log4j.xml. But as far as I know "category" is deprecated and "logger" should be used instead. Why JBoss uses deprecated "category" tag in a new product?

    I am reading some source code and I found at the very begin of the main routine this statement: umask(077); What could be the reason for that? The man page (man 2 umask) states: umask -- set file creation mode mask This clearing allows each user to restrict the default access to his files But is not clear to me why would do that? as a shortcut ?

  • CakePHP 1.3.0 Cookie value not encrypting

    I noticed in Firefox when viewing the cookies that the values I am saving are not encrypted. The CakePHP Book states that values are encrypted by default on write(). I can't seem to find any gotchas in the doc Anyone else experience this problem? I am sure I am missing something.. Would it matter that the value being set is a integer?

    I have "Selected Text" color set to a default value in vs 2010 RGB 51,153,253. But really in text editor it is RGB 173,214,255 that is slightly darker. The same things are with some other colors, e.g. Resharper Dead Code. What can it be a problem and how should I solve it?

Are there some projects with downloadable Sphinx docs?     I'm interested in the way Sonic Living detects your iTunes library XML file. It prompts the user to approve its actions, then automatically uploads the XML file based on the client OS (and assuming the default installation path of iTunes). How the heck does it do that? None of the upload libraries I've looked at have this feature. They all assume that a user will click "Select file..." then browse around for the right thing to upload.

  • Mysql select most frequent and sort alphabetically

    I am trying to select the most common 100 names from a table then display the list showing the names and count. I want the user to be able to re-sort the list alphabetically rather than based on count. I thought the following code would do it. It works for the default sort by count but fails on the sort alphabetically. The line "$count = mysql_num_rows($table);" gives an error: mysql_num_rows() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given.
