  • iPhone UITextView leaves room for 2 lines at the bottom

    Hi Guys, When i start typing text in a default textView in my viewcontroller, its not going to the bottom of the textfield. It leaves room for 2 more lines of text and then starts scrolling. I want it to start scrolling when i start going beyond the last line. I tried everything, and i dont know what i can do? Anyone any ideas?

How can I introspect it?   • Enterprise Library logging into database is very slow

    I'm using enterprise library for logging web page events. Because page is load balanced I have to store logs in database on different server (requirement). Sadly, I found storing around 20 entries per page request is very slow (adds additional ~10s). Can anybody explain why this happens and how to fix it. P.S. I'm using default pooling settings in logging database connection string.

  • Faster code with another compiler

    I'm using the standard gcc compiler in math software development with C-language. I don't know that much about compilers or compiler options, and I was just wondering, is it possible to make faster executables using another compiler or choosing better options? The default Makefile sets options -ffast-math and -O3 and I think both of them have some impact in the overall calculation time. My software is using memory quite extensively, so I imagine some options related to memory management might do the trick? Any ideas?

  • Zend framework forms, upload file problem

    Hi, I use Zend forms in my web application. I wonder where Zend puts uploded temp file by default ? I can't find it in server tmp dir. For example if I upload image(1.jpg) via file field, it appears on tmp folder, but as 1.jpg(/tmp/1.jpg). But I need temporary file like /tmp/phpeZApBn. Maybe it is in any other location ? Any help would be appreciated.

  • Codeigniter: user defined helper function does not load.

    Hi everybody. I made a custom helper extending the system string_helper.php. I placed it in my /application/helpers folder, called MY_string_helper.php as required, unit-tested its functions. Now, when I try to call one of its functions from a model, it does not work. The functions in the default string helper work, instead. It looks like my extension is not loaded for some reasons.   • is there a way to designate the line token delimiter in Perl's file reader?

    I'm reading a text file via CGI in, in perl, and noticing that when the file is saved in mac's textEdit the line separator is recognized, but when I upload a CSV that is exported straight from excel, they are not. I'm guessing it's a \n vs. \r issue, but it got me thinking that I don't know how to specify what I would like the line terminator token to be, if I didn't want the one it's looking for by default.

I've tried some shoots like android:itemBackground="#000000" on the item element within the menu element but it doesn't work. I don't know if this is doable or not. Any idea would be welcome! :)

    Is it possible to add a trailing slash to the default context of an application? Example: http://www.uri.com/foo -> http://www.uri.com/foo/ I added the following redirect to the server properties: redirect_1: from=/foo url-prefix=/foo/ and this ends up in a loop... Several other configurations also didn't work :-/ I'm using glassfish v2.1-b60e.

  • How to refresh xmlDataProvider when xml document changes at runtime in WPF?

    I am trying to make a image viewer/album creator in visual studio, wpf. The image paths for each album is stored in an xml document which i bind to to show the images from each album in a listbox. The problem is when i add a image or an album at runtime and write it to the xml document. I can't seem to make the bindings to the xml document update so they show the new images and albums aswell. Calling Refresh() on the XmlDataProvider doesn't change anything. I don't wish to redo the binding of the XmlDataProvider, just make it read from the same source again. The man page (man 2 umask) states: umask -- set file creation mode mask This clearing allows each user to restrict the default access to his files But is not clear to me why would do that? as a shortcut ?
