    I'm getting some problems trying Google Geocoding service when using special characters like "º" or letters with accents. Whenever I try something like: "barcelona, nº 10" I get 0 results. But trying: "barcelona n 10" I get results... I suspect is something related with encoding.   • Why can't I use relative URLs with IE7?

    Hello everyone. I've been Googling for a while and can't seem to find an answer to this question. My problem is as follows: For my jquery, I need my links to be relative rather than absolute. My PHP is set to return relative urls and everything is working fine, until I test it in IE7. For some reason, IE7 keeps changing my relative urls to abosulute, which breaks my js script. Is this normal? Is there a way to get around it? For example: IE8, Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc - <a href='/page' onclick='click_handler(this);return false;'>clicky</a> IE7 - <a href='http://www.myurl.com/page' onclick='click_handler(this);return false;'>clicky</a>

    All, I have the following Zend application structure: helloworld - application - configs - controllers - models - layouts - include - library - public - design -- css -- site.css -- js -- global.js -- images -- siteheader.gif -- sitefooter.gif - .htaccess - index.php My .htaccess file in public folder looks like this: Options -MultiViews RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -s [OR] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -l [OR] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d RewriteRule ^.*$ - [NC,L] RewriteRule ^.*$ index.php [NC,L] My document root points to the "public" folder. Currently, if the user visits a directory level URL, (Ex: http://localhost/design or localhost/css) , my .htaccess file above make sure to show him the "Access Forbidden" page. But if he visits the file level URL, (Ex: http://localhost/design/css/site.css), it shows him the CSS file or the js file or PHP file.. How can I make sure to lock file level access for the above file types, if accessed directly from the URL? Since my application is JS intensive, I want to protect it from users looking at it. Thanks

    On my registration form i want to show a modal (of twitter-bootstrap) when the user has a successfull signup to tell him to check his email so i put "remote: true" on my form and render a .js.erb wich shows the modal, on my controller. BUT, in case of inputs errors i need to render the page as html to refresh de form showing those errors. Can I call the controller from the remote form as JS but render as html?     When a user clicks on a button or link, I use the SimpleModal jQuery plugin to display a dialog to overlay the entire page, preventing the user from clicking another button or link during the delay before the next page loads. (I'd like to avoid this, but that's an issue for another day.) After the next page displays, if the user clicks the Back button, the previous page still has the SimpleModal overlay displayed, preventing them from using the page. This is a problem. How can I cause the SimpleModal dialog to close automatically either when the leaves the page or when the user clicks the Back button to return to the page?   • Do not fire 'zoom_changed' event when calling fitBounds function on map

    Is there a way to prevent the zoom_change event from being triggered if it occurs due to fitBounds() ? I am having an issue where I need to do a search on the server from client when there is a zoom change to map but every time I call fitBounds() it causes zoom_change to trigger which causes the client to do another search on the server. I am only interested in zoom_change done by users and not programmatically using fitBounds.
