ColdFusion blank page in IE7 on refresh?

I'm new to ColdFusion, have a very basic problem that's really slowing me down. I'm making edits in a text editor and refreshing the page in web browsers for testing. Standard web dev stuff, no browser-sniffing, redirection, or other weirdness, and no proxies involved. When I refresh the page in Chrome or Firefox, everything works fine, but when I refresh in IE7, I get a blank page. View Source shows me: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=utf-8"></HEAD> <BODY></BODY></HTML> That's it. While I am rendering to the transitional DTD, the real head contains a title, etc. My development server is CF 9, production is 8. This problem has been happening in both. Seems it may only be happening on pages that are the the result of a POST action. I've never experienced this in ASP.NET (my usual development environment) using the same browsers.

Calling unmanaged code from within C#

I am trying to use a dll in my c# program but I just cant seem to get it to work. I have made a test app shown below. The return value is 0, however it does not actually do what it is supposed to do. Including strings, arrays, linked lists I suspect that the solution must use generics as the algorithm is working on a list of instances of T (there T is ... something). Version of C# isn't of interest, I guess the solution will be nicer if features from C# version 2.0 is used.

singleton factory connection pdo

Hey guys I am having a lot of trouble trying to understand this and I was just wondering if someone could help me with some questions. I found some code that is supposed to create a connection with pdo. The problem I was having was having my connection defined within functions. LINQ query code for complex merging of data.

I have the following code and I am trying to figure out the shorter linq expression to do it 'inline'. Please examine the "Run()" method near the bottom. I am attempting to understand how to join two dictionaries together based on a matching identifier in one of the objects - so that I can use the query in this sort of syntax. var selected = from a in items.List() // etc. etc. select a; This is my class structure. Django + jQuery: Sometimes AJAX, but always DRY?

Let's say I have an app (in Django) for which I want to sometimes (but not always) load content via ajax. An easy example is logging in. When the user logs in, I don't want to refresh the page, just change things around. Yet, if they are already logged in, and then arrive at (or refresh) the same page, I want it to show the same content. So, in the first case, obviously I do some sort of ajax login and load changes to the page accordingly. Easy enough. But what about in the second case? Do I go back through and add {% if user.authenticated %} all over the place? This seems cold, dark, and WET. On the other hand, I can just wrap all the ajaxy stuff in a javascript function, called loggedIn(), and run that if the user is authenticated. But then I'm faced with two http requests instead of one. Also undesirable. So what's the standard solution here?

I am using a converter to change the visibility of the button. My guess is that, it is because the constructor would have create the profile object and so even though the object is empty it shows me edit button instead of create. Is there any other way I could display button visibility??

Im working with a XHTML 1.0 Transitional doctype html file, and I want to have a main div with 800px width and make it appears centered (not the div content, but the div itself). I could set the visibility of the container that holds the reCaptcha to invisible (display: none;), but it will dowload the content irrespectively of it. I can insert the "noScript" code that reCaptcha gives us, but it doesn't work either, because it can spot that the browser allow javascript but I use noScript. Any suggestions? (I know I put my public reCaptcha key into the code, but it is just for testing purposes, and you could get it from my html or javascript code anyway)

Best way for launching html/jsp to communicate with GWT module

I asked this at the GWT forum but I'm impatient for the answer and I seem to get rather good responses here. A html or jsp file is used to launch the xxx.nocache.js, which then decides which browser "permutation" to use. <head> <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html;charset=UTF-8"> <title>xxx</title> <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="xxx.nocache.js"></script> </head> In my case, I am using a jsp. When the JSP is executed, it discovers some conditions. I wish to pass these conditions as values to the GWT module being launched. The "elegant" GWT way to pass these values would be to persist them as request/memcache attributes and then have the GWT module perform RPC to retrieve those values. For example, the JSP discovers that the current user is Whoopy. Shouldn't I simply have the JSP generate javascript to store user = "Whoopy" as a top or namedframe level javascript variable and use JSNI within the module to retrieve the value for user? I have not tried it yet, but I would like to know how anyone might have done it without having to use RPC.

jquery validate not submitting after modal close bootstrap

jQuery UI datepicker will not display - full code included

I am having trouble displaying the jQuery datepicker as shown here: http://jqueryui.com/demos/datepicker/ I believe I downloaded all of the proper files, but to be certain, I started from scratch and ripped the demo site. Not all of it, but what I believed to be the important parts. The result is no datepicker to be shown and no javascript errors. Why am I getting a compile time error for the two method headers at the end of my code in my class ArrayListTest? I need to have items in ListBox just next to each other. I have tried changing ItemTemplate of the ListBox but it did not help.

wxpython GUI and multiprocessing - how to send data back from the long running process

Hello everyone, Trying to run a time consuming task from a wxpython GUI. The basic idea is to start the long time task from the GUI (pressing a button) and then, a static text on the dialog should be updated from it. First I tried some threading (http://wiki.wxpython.org/LongRunningTasks and many other resourses seen), and I want to show back the messages using Publisher.class. It didn't went so well, after a message or two, the GUI seems to frozen. Now I want to achieve that with multiprocessing. I have this method inside my 'GUI' class: def do_update(self, e): self.txt_updatemsg.SetLabel("Don't stop this \n") ... pub = Publisher() # i tried also calling directly from dbob object # Publisher() is a singleton so this must be useless? pub.subscribe(self.__update_txt_message, ('updatedlg', 'message')) dbob = dbutils.DBUtils() # DBUtils is the class with 'long time' tasks dbob.publisher = pub p = Process(target=self.do_update_process, args=(dbob,)) p.start() while p.is_alive: wx.Yield def do_update_process(self, dbob): dbob.do_update() __update_txt_message is a simple function what sets the static text on dialog. Or would it just be sent to the browser as plaintext? I was using eval() in my template class but I hate that function :P Thanks.
