• how to open Gmail View Message Activity?

  I want to write an application to List the Gmail message. In the list, if user click one of the message item, it shall link ot Gmail App to see more detial information. Currently I can read the Gmail db with Gmail.java. There are some problems while I want to open Gmail Activity. In general, we can open Activity with Action and parameters. But Gmail App has not release code base. We do not know what Action set to Gmail Activity and what parmeter shall we put the extras. I only know that the Activity of View detial Message is named "HtmlConversationActivity." And the Package is under "com.google.android.gm." please tell me how to open the View detial Message Activity in Gmail APP. thanks a lot.

• Why won't this sql update query work?

  I have a table that has 5,000(table1) lines in it. Currently, 3,000 of them are filled up with data. The remaining values are currently null. In a separate table(table2), I have the remaining 2,000 rows of data. I am simply trying to take the values in table2 and put them in table1, but this statement isn't working: Update table1 Set field1 = (Select field1 From table2 Where table1.id = table2.id) Where Exists(Select field1 From table2 Where table1.id = table2.id) It looks like this should be working, but I am getting an error from Base, the db program I am using that just says error Near " ": syntax error...any help??   Hoping someone can help me with the LINQ syntax to calculate an average. For example, I have the following LINQ query: var rates = from rating in ctx.Rates where rating.Id == Id select new { UserId = rating.UserId, Rating = rating.Rating }; If 10 records are returned, I need to calculate average on the Rating field. It is defined as as a Double in my DB. I am using LINQ to EF. So I would be assigning the UserId, MiscId, and the Rating would be the average on the records returned. I am passing one object back to the client code.

  Hi everyone, I programmed a CMS that has a log of who has recently logged into the system. Presently, this data is fed into a jQuery UI tab via Ajax. I would like to put this information into a sidebar on the main page and load it via AJAX every 30 seconds (or some set period of time). How would I go about doing this? Does the PHP response need to be JSON coded? I am fairly new to AJAX and JSON data.   Hi! I have setup subversion 1.6.5 on Fedora. I have decided to use a single repository for multiple projects. I have added one project, projA, to the repository. I will have more projects to add to the repository in future. If I try to add next project with the command 'svn import . file:///path/to/repos' gives svn: File already exists: filesystem '/usr/local/svn-repos/proj-test/db', transa ction '1-1', path '/trunk'. The new projB is being added to the trunk directory of projA. I have read the section "Adding Projects" in http://svnbook.red-bean.com/en/1.1/ch05s04.html In that book, projects are added at once. But,I would like to add them one by one as new projects become ready to go. What is the proper command and/or how that can be done? Thanks. Banani

  I am about to run a massive data insert into my DB. I have managed to work out how to enable and rebuild non-clustered indexes on my tables but I also want to disable/enable primary keys. You can't disable the clustered index for the primary key as the table is inaccessible when that is done and my attempt to do a ALTER TABLE for constraints does not work as I think that is only for foreign keys. Do you know of a way to Disable the Primary Key and Re-Enable After SQL Bulk Insert. NOTE: This is over numerous tables and so I don't know the exact primary key specifications eg/name etc

  I am using clojure.contrib.sql to fetch some records from an SQLite database. (defn read-all-foo [] (let [sql "select * from foo"] (with-connection *db* (with-query-results res [sql] (into [] res))))) Now, I don't really want to realize the whole sequence before returning from the function (i.e. I want to keep it lazy), but if I return res directly or wrap it some kind of lazy wrapper (for example I want to make a certain map transformation on result sequence), SQL bindings will be gone after I return, so realizing the sequence will throw an error. How can I enclose the whole function in a closure and return a kind of anonymous iterator block (like yield in C# or Python)? Or is there another way to return a lazy sequence from this function?

  Hello, I am running a jetspeed portal which contains various portlet applications and have come across an issue after a recent reinstall where some of the portlets will return Cannot pass a null PortletDefinition to a PortletEntity Any idea what is causing this issue? I investigated a bit and it seems that jetspeed runs a process when new portlets are added where it creates mappings in its DB (derby in my case). If this does not complete it seems to cause this problem. Is my assumption correct? If yes, how can I restart this process? Many thanks

• Creating an Order Column for encrypted data

  I am saving encrypted data to a database. Is there a way I can create a "hashcode" or fingerprint or checksum of the plain text data, that if I sort / order by on the "hashcode" the order would be the same as if I had saved the plain text data and perform the same sort / order by operation on it? I basically need a SOUNDEX() type function that will give me a value that will maintain the order of the plain text data. I would then save both encrypted data and the "hashcode" and when querying the data order by the "hashcode" field. I need to perform this in the application and preferably not in the SQL DB if at all possible. I am using Entity Framework and SQL 2008 and C# 4.0.

  I have some Crystal Reports connecting to a Sql Server db that I would like to detect whether the connection is trusted or whether I need to supply the log on info (reports are not supplied by me so I can't control the connect method). If I just blindly supply login credentials, it won't connect if it is a trusted connection. The following does not work: oRpt = oCR.OpenReport("C:\MyReport.rpt") if oRpt.Database.Tables(1).ConnectionProperties.Item("Integrated Security") = True then 'trusted connection else 'supply login credentials end if It gives the following error: Operator '=' is not defined for type 'IConnectionProperty' and type 'Boolean'. • Need help in downloading file with header() function

  Hi. I'm trying to explain as best as I can, sorry for my English. I have a list of links, each linked to a php file with an id by parameters (ex. download.php?id=1 or ?id=2 and so on). This file create a new instance of a class witch return the correct header of the files so it displays the save dialog box of the browser. Now I need to check if the files is already downloaded in past (The first time you downloaded it I add a field on the mysql db). This checks go ahead if you haven't download the files, else return false. Here is the problem, when it returns false or something else the browser redirect me to the download.php file, so I get a blank page or what I'm echoing. I need that if the file is already download it show me a js alert for advice ppl. Hope you can understand what i mean. Thanks for help

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

  Hi: Generally,if we want to display a image in the web page,we give the uri of the image resource like: http://host:port/image/xxx.jpg. Now,there are some images in my file system,and I save its absolute path in the db. Like this; id name address image 1 xxxx xxxx C:/images/xxx.jpg Now if the entity is retrived,its image should be displayed in the page. How to make it? What I thought is copy the image under the web server dir,then build its url,then the page can render it. But I wonder if this is a good idea? Is there any other way?

The images is not checked into scm (svn). How should I structure the tree of code, to improve performance in VS? It would also be neat if not all developers needed to copy 200k images to their local disk to be able to develop on the site. Images as DB blobs is not an option.

• postgresql duplicate table names best practice

  My company has a handful of apps that we deploy in the websites we build. Recently a very old app needed to be included along side a newer app and there was a conflict w/ a duplicate table name needed to be used by both apps. We are now in the process of updating an old app and there will be some DB updates. I'm curious what people consider best practice (or how do you do it) to help ensure these name collisions don't happen. I've looked at schema's but not sure if thats the right path we want to take. As the documentation prescribes, I don't want to "wire" a particular schema name into an application and if I add schema's to the user search path how would it know which table I was referring to if two schema's have the same table name. although, maybe I'm reading to much into this. Any insights or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated!

  I have an input txt file which has data in the form of records (each row is a record and represents more or less like a DB table) and I need to find for duplicate values. For example: Rec1: ACCOUNT_NBR_1*NAME_1*VALUE_1 Rec2: ACCOUNT_NBR_2*NAME_2*VALUE_2 Rec3: ACCOUNT_NBR_1*NAME_3*VALUE_3 In the above set, the Rec1 and Rec2 are considered to be duplicates as the ACCOUNT NUMBERS are same(ACCOUNT_NBR1). Note: The input file shown above is a delimiter type file (the delimiter being *) however the file type can also be a fixed length file where each column starts and ends with a specified positions. I am currently doing this with the following logic: Loop thru each ACCOUNT NUMBER Loop thru each line of the txt file and record and check if this is repeated. If repeated record the same in a hashtable. End End And I am using 'Pattern' & 'BufferedReader' java API's to perform the above task. But since it is taking a long time, I would like to know a better way of handling it. Thanks, Shibu

  in my pre_controller hook i have this code for doctrine: $manager = Doctrine_Manager::getInstance(); $conn = Doctrine_Manager::connection($db[$active_group][‘dsn’]); then in my controller i have this code to use doctrine connection i’ve created: $conn-export-createTable(‘test’, array(‘name’ = array(‘type’ = ‘string’))); $conn-execute(‘INSERT INTO test (name) VALUES (?)’, array(‘jwage’)); but $conn is undefined so it wont work. if i put the code in the pre_controller hook it will work. how can i make variables i declare in hooks available for all controllers so that i dont have to create a new connection all the time?

  Hi, i have this two lists, from which i can move items from one to another with jquery ui and connect lists, with ajax. If an item is pulled over, a message is generated in a php file and then it appears on screen. Now i want that for example the right list should be allowed to contain ten items at max. It would be great if it would be possible with jquery, that if there is already ten items in the list and you go and drag the eleventh, if then the item would somehow vanish, maybe with a little effekt. I think maybe reading out db in the php-file if theres already ten items, and so on. But i have currently no idea, if and in case if in which way, jquery would support this kind of behaviour.
