• Sibling UIViewController Navigation

  would anybody care to comment on this piece of code? It allows you to do "prev" or "next" once in the detail view of a uiviewcontroller. So, if you have 4 uiviewcontrollers, you can navigate from #3 to #2 with previous or #3 to #4 with next. It works, but, my question is, is this the best way to implement this? or, is there a better way. http://github.com/joop23/UIViewController

  Generally I use lxml for my HTML parsing needs, but that isn't available on Google App Engine. The obvious alternative is BeautifulSoup, but I find it chokes too easily on malformed HTML. Currently I am testing libxml2dom and have been getting better results. Which pure Python HTML parser have you found performs best? My priority is the ability to handle bad HTML over speed.

  Hi, A portion of my laptop screen broke. Is there any kind of software that will just ignore that part and resize everything accordingly? It's like 1/6 of the screen on the right that makes anything over there impossible to see. If not, what would be the best programming language to go about making my own program?   We have a CMS system and in the production mode a number of servers only have read-only access to the content (with a few exceptions) and the editors for the site work on the content on servers behind it (which are not available to the public). We're caching the content quite a long time on the front servers, but sometimes we want the content the editors publish to be available for visitors instantly. What would the best way be to invalidate the cache in this situation, should we trigger it from our code?

• How to safely store encryption key in a .NET assembly

  In order to prevent somebody from grabbing my data easily, I cache data from my service as encrypted files (copy protection, basically). However, in order to do this, I must store the encryption key within the .NET assembly so it is able to encrypt and decrypt these files. Being aware of tools like Red Gate's .NET Reflector which can pull my key right out, I get a feeling that this is not a very safe way of doing it... are there any best practices to doing this?

Using Twitter as an example, they have pages labeled twitter.com/about and another page labeled twitter.com/{$username} However, how do you differentiate between say a user who has registers on to our site as "about" then. From this we are going to have a server conflict between the user "about" and the page about. What is the best way to handle this?

  Hey there, I'm currently working on an app which displays a bunch of files in a table, and you can add and remove them and whatsoever. To prevent duplicates in the table, I'd like to create a NSDictionary using the files full path as keys for another NSDictionary which contains all the file information, but I am a little concerned about the maximum key length of NSDictionary, and also whether this solution would be performance killer or not...
