• C# / Filter input of a textbox and display notification balloon

  I'm wondering how to filter the input of a .NET textbox. I already know that I could listen for the KeyDown event and intercept the key, but that won't filter pasted strings by a right-click menu or a CTRL+V. I also don't wan't to completely disable the possibility of pasting of characters in the textbox. The paste action should be cancelled whenever it contains one or more invalid characters. Finally, I'd like to display a notification balloon whenever invalid characters are either entered or pasted. µTorrent already has this exact behavior: How can I achieve this functionality in C# ?

  i want to devlop a mapping for followinfg scenerio . I have a 1 source and 1 target and 1 error table.Target and Error tables have all fields that are present in source tables.But the data type o of all fieds for error table are varchar .Error table dont have integirty or foreign key and other constraints . Error table also have2 more fileds .Error no and error msg. Now when the workflow is executed if there is erro while inserting any record then that recored shold be moved to error table.Also the data base error code and error message should be logged in error no and error message in error tables fields as mentioned. How can i devlop such a mappng?Where can i find exaples of such mapping ?

• could i get access to the loaded uri in actionscript for "loadmovie"

  i wanna load a movieclip inside another movieclip with loadmovie or anything like this. so my question is.... could have i access to the location of the loaded swf-file inside the loaded swf-file? example: swf#1 loads swf#2 inside itself, so now the swf#2 should check its own uri with an identical key.. but without access to the loaded uri... it would be hard to pass this step :-). is there any information given? as2, as3 dosn't matter.... could use both :-)

• Is it possible to partition more than one way at a time in SQL Server?

  I'm considering various ways to partition my data in SQL Server. One approach I'm looking at is to partition a particular huge table into 8 partitions, then within each of these partitions to partition on a different partition column. Is this even possible in SQL Server, or am I limited to definining one parition column+function+scheme per table? I'm interested in the more general answer, but this strategy is one I'm considering for Distributed Partitioned View, where I'd partition the data under the first scheme using DPV to distribute the huge amount of data over 8 machines, and then on each machine partition that portion of the full table on another parition key in order to be able to drop (for example) sub-paritions as required.

  Even after obj.save(), the obj still does not have an id, so I cannot access or manipulate the m2m records.   I'm playing around with the Lahman Baseball Database in a MySQL instance. I want to find the players who topped home runs (HR) for each year. • How can I match end-of-line multiple times in a regex without interpolation?

  Hi, if I have a input with new lines in it like: [INFO] xyz [INFO] How can I pull out the xyz part? I tried a pattern like /^\[INFO\]$(.*?)$\[INFO\]/ms, but perl gives me: Use of uninitialized value $\ in regexp compilation at scripts\t.pl line 6. I've been trying things to get interpolation to stop like using qr// but alas, no love. EDIT: The key is that the end-of-line anchor is a dollar sign but at times it may be necessary to intersperse the end-of-line anchor through the pattern. If the pattern is interpolating then you might get problems such as uninitialized $\. For instance an acceptable solution here is /^\[INFO\]\s*^(.*?)\s*^\[INFO\]/ms but that does not solve the crux of the first problem. I've changed the anchors to be ^ so there is no interpolation going on, and with this input I'm free to do that. But what about when I really do want to reference EOL with $ in my pattern? How do I get the regex to compile?

  Hi, Everytime I try to create the following table in MySQL command line: CREATE TABLE book(book_id int NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT PRIMARY KEY, isbn char(20), title char(20), author_f_name char(20), author_l_name char(20), condition ENUM("as new","very good","good","fair","poor"), price decimal(8,2), genre char(20)); I keep getting this error message: ERROR 1064 (42000): You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL version for the right syntax to use near 'condition ENUM("as new","very good","good","fair","poor"), price decimal(8,2), g' at line 6 I've tried using single quotes and double quotes for the ENUM options. Where did I go wrong?

• Prototype Ajax.Updater Response OK, but not showing up in FF. working in Safari!

  Hi, I've got a quite strange problem here. I'm calling some simple code via Ajax.Updater: new Ajax.Updater('load','http://myurl.com/demo.pl?key=demokey&param1=xyz&param2=abc',{ method:'get', onComplete:function(transport){ alert(transport.responseText) } }); which gets some code like this: <img id="2009_04_15_1239786246" src='../pv/100/2009_04_15_1239786246-01.jpg' border="1"> <img id="2009_04_15_1239786066" src='../pv/100/2009_04_15_1239786066-01.jpg' border="1"> ... and so on This code shows up in my firebug console as my server response, so everything should be fine. No errors here at all. Works fine in Safari. Firefox, according to Firebug, knows there is a response, but it won't show a thing in my div 'load' and the alert(transport.responseText) is also empty. I have no idea what could be the problem here.

  I'm a newbie with SQL... Now I want to do display some instances of AddrDistances from DevExpress CxGrid with SQL. Select Cast((DistanceAsMeters * 0.001) as Decimal(8,1)) DistanceAsKm, bold_id, created, fromAddress, toAddress From AddrDistance Where DistanceAsMeters = 0 and PseudoDistanceAsCostKm = 0 and not AddrDistance.bold_id in (select bold_id from DistanceQueryTask) Order By Created Desc This SQL is working and the result is: DistanceAsKM Bold_ID Created FromAddress ToAddress 0 134808 16.02.2010 121795 134570 0 121701 10.03.2010 120850 122991 The result I want is this: DistanceAsKM Bold_ID Created FromAddress ToAddress 0 134808 16.02.2010 Kalmar Stockholm 0 121701 10.03.2010 Falkenberg Oslo So the amount of rows is right but I want to replace the numbers in FromAddress and ToAddress with strings from another table. The numbers shows here is just the boldid. Every object in the database have an unique boldid. The addresses above is stored in table Address and it have a City field with the column and a boldid as a key. What should I write in SQL to get this right ? Is there something in the CxGrid that could help here ? Regards

However any other fields will throw a javascript error. I'm wondering the best way to test to see if datepicker has already been initialized on that field.

  Hi everybody, Apple requires an in-app purchase subscription purchased on one device to be available on all devices associated with the user: “...subscriptions must be provided on all devices associated with a user. In App Purchase expects subscriptions to be delivered through an external server that you will provide. You must provide infrastructure to deliver subscriptions to multiple devices.” Is there any way to propagate a subscription to another device transparently without user having to create a server side user account and log in each time he needs to enable the subscription on another device? E.g. by reading a username from some kind of API and using it as a key on a server to store information about subscriptions. I tried to find an API for retrieving user account info but couldn't find any.

• How to make scipy.interpolate give a an extrapolated result beyond the input range?

  I'm trying to port a program which uses a hand-rolled interpolator (developed by a mathematitian colleage) over to use the interpolators provided by scipy. I'd like to use or wrap the scipy interpolator so that it has as close as possible behavior to the old interpolator. A key difference between the two functions is that in our original interpolator - if the input value is above or below the input range, our original interpolator will extrapolate the result. If you try this with the scipy interpolator it raises a ValueError. Consider this program as an example: import numpy as np from scipy import interpolate x = np.arange(0,10) y = np.exp(-x/3.0) f = interpolate.interp1d(x, y) print f(9) print f(11) # Causes ValueError, because it's greater than max(x) Is there a sensible way to make it so that instead of crashing, the final line will simply do a linear extrapolate, continuing the gradients defined by the first and last two pouints to infinity. Note, that in the real software I'm not actually using the exp function - that's here for illustration only!

• [PHP] Condition for array with string as keys

  My PL/SQL procedure returns a cursor. It always returns data. I fetch (oci_fetch_assoc) it and save it in an array. If results were found the keys of the array will be strings. If the cursor didn't find data, it will return value 0, thus the key of the array will be numeric. while($data = oci_fetch_assoc($cursor)){ if(!isset($data[0])){ ... } ... ... } What's the best way to check that the array is not just 0, but contains data? • Why is the EntityManager in my GAE + Spring (+graniteds) project reset to null?

  Hi all, I'm having a problem with autowiring my EntityManager. Actually at server startup I can see that the injection works ok, though when trying to use my EntityManager it appears to be null again. @Component public class DataDaoImpl { protected EntityManager entityManager; @Autowired public void setEntityManager(EntityManager entityManager) { System.out.println("Injecting "+entityManager); //works! this.entityManager = entityManager; } public void createData(String key, String value) { System.out.println("In createData entityManager is "+entityManager); //entityManager null!? ... Output: Injecting org.datanucleus.store.appengine.jpa.DatastoreEntityManager@a60d19 The server is running at http://localhost:8888/ In createData entityManager is null So somehow the autowired entityManager is reset to null when trying to use it.   For a long time, I thought that to start a new project we only need 3 basic tools. 1) A Build System (e.g. Maven & CruiseControl) 2) A Version Control System (e.g. CVS & SVN & GIT) 3) A Bug Tracking System (e.g. Bugzilla) Yesterday, a senior guy told me that we need at least one thing more. That is KPI(Key Performance Index). Without KPI, it is impossible to measure whether the project is progressing well or not. KPI is kind of SOFT tool compared to Maven/SVN/Bugzilla. I believe since I missed SOFT tools, there must be some other kind of tools I missed. So, anybody get some ideas what other basic tools necessary for a new project?

  Converting a C++ lib to ANSI C and it seems like though ANSI C doesn't support default values for function variables or am I mistaken? What I want is something like int funcName(int foo, bar* = NULL); Also, is function overloading possible in ANSI C? Would need const char* foo_property(foo_t* /* this */, int /* property_number*/); const char* foo_property(foo_t* /* this */, const char* /* key */, int /* iter */); Could of course just name them differently but being used to C++ I kinda used to function overloading.

• jquery - strange behavior in IE..

  I have an input field where name='id' <input type='hidden' name="id" /> While jquery lib works fine in Chrome, it fails in IE. It works when I change from id to idfield - but our server code breaks since it expects the form with element key id. Is there a work around for this? • Addslashes, mysql_real_escape always adding two slashes?

  I'm having an issue with inserting JSON into a database, my intention is to take the variables, json_encode them, remove slashes (from magic_quotes), and then addslashes back in to escape the quotes in {"key":"value"} Unfortunately, strip_slashes on the encoded string isn't doing anything, and outputs this {"content":"<p>This string has it\'s downsides</p>","date":1271352514} I have then tried addslashes, and mysql_real_escape_string, both output "{\\"content\\":\\"<p>This string has it\\\'s downsides</p>\\",\\"date\\":1271352514}" I can't work out why it's adding in two slashes? And I'm tearing my hair out over this, everytime I try to stripslashes it leaves one in, and adding slashes adds two. Any help would be hugely appreciated!

• nxhtml and geben: debug mode stops responding to keystrokes upon step into html/php mixed line

  I'm using the php debugger geben and nxhtml-mode. While debugging, as soon as I step into a mixed line such as <foo><?php bar(); ?></foo> the debugger is no longer accepting any key-strokes. However, the mode line still indicates the debugger's presence (*debugging*'-entry). I guess this due to nxhtml's mode changes, because it's the exact same behavior geben shows after disabling end re-enabling it. Does anybody use nxhtml together with geben and has fixed it? Or is it possible to configure emacs to enable nxhtml conditionaly, such that php-mode is used instead when the buffer was opened by geben?
