  I've got 3 points in space that define a triangle. I've also got a vertex buffer made up of three vertices, that also represent a triangle that I will refer to as a "model". How can I can I find the matrix M that will transform vertex in my buffer to those 3 points in space ? For example, let's say my three points A, B, C are at locations: A.x = 10, A.y = 16, A.z = 8 B.x = 12, B.y = 11, B.z = 1 C.x = 19, C.y = 12, C.z = 3 given these coordinates how can I build a matrix that will translate and rotate my model such that both triangles have the exact same world space ? That is, I want the first vertex in my triangle model to have the same coordinates as A, the second to have the same coordinates as B, and same goes for C. nb: I'm using instanced rendering so I can't just give each vertex the same position as my 3 points. I have a set of three points defining a triangle, and only three vertices in my vertex buffer.

• Joining and compressing all javascript files together - good idea?

  Curently, I avoid loading any unnecesary scripts on individual pages of my site. I have a class that remembers all javascript files that were requested during PHP processing and adds them to HTML. I was just thinking that I could merge the current set of files, save the result in special directory and let the browser download just one, big file. Since the number of possible combinations is not very high, I would end up with about 10 combined files for different pages. I've never seen that on any site. What are the reasons not to do it? I need very fast page load.

  I have a Dell D610 - Intel graphics - 1 Gig RAM. I have test the hard drive and RAM and both are fine. When I open Software Center, then Dash home my system locks up. The mouse cursor moves but is unresponsive if I try to right or left click anything. The keyboard is totally unresponsive and I have to hold the power button to power off! I have reinstalled from CD, did all updates but the issue persists. I tried using the track pad only, and I plugged in an external mouse also but no change. Everything else works great ! I am sick of running Vista and have no love for Metro! Thanks for any suggestions, on a scale of 1 to 10 (Newbie - Expert) I am about 3

  With normal form submission I use the pattern Post / Redirect / Get, when processing the forms. I have a database application built with Django. I want to allow the users to select a number of items from the database, then launch a computationally intensive task based on those items. I expect the task to take between 10 minutes and 2 hours to complete. Is there a standard approach to dealing with requests like this (i.e. that don't return immediately)? Ideally there would be some way to display the progress.

Tasks check every minute with a third party application through web services, retrieving data which is written in the database, then the data is forwarded to it's original destination.   I checked System Monitor to see if the frequency of my CPU increases without doing anything and saw that xorg is always using 10-40% of the CPU even if it's not doing much of anything on the desktop or simply surfing the Internet. Is this normal? If not, how can I fix it? I have: a Macbook white 4,1 Core2 Duo running at 2.10 GHz GPU Intel GMA X3100 4GB of RAM Ubuntu 11.04 I am running Unity and I do not have many effects enabled. • Site returning 404 header to google, not sure why

  A Drupal site that works fine for regular users returns a 404 not found error when I try to use the W3C validator on it; it is also not being indexed by google at all (which is the main issue but I suspect there is a connection). It is a https:// site with .htaccess rule to redirect any http:// request to the https://. I had had it running in google webmaster tools and thought it was fine, but it turns out I had not added the https domain. After adding the https domain it's also returning the header as HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found Date: Mon, 15 Oct 2012 19:37:43 GMT Server: Apache Expires: Sun, 19 Nov 1978 05:00:00 GMT Cache-Control: no-cache, must-revalidate, post-check=0, pre-check=0 Robots.txt just has User-agent: * Crawl-delay: 10 # Files Disallow: /cron.php How can I check what the issue is here?

I am still working on this but not getting proper guidance. This site is caching 2 times in 24Hrs. Some times sites will back in to top 10 search listing on 100s keywords, some time its gone out 1000+. anybody can help me why its happening.   I just wanted to ask, what could I mess up? My situation is this: In XFCE4.10 (!) on the panel0 I put the Indicator Applet. It always showed me the volume control and network icons. When I updated to 13.10 and after cleaned some stuff, removed some orphaned package, I noticed, the volume control applet is showing mute and if I clicked on it there is an empty drowdown menu like 10x5 px.. Now it became completely useless. So my question is WHAT should I reinstall or change to get the control work?.. :/ Thanks.

  My question has to do with whether to create an oDesk agency (I've searched to verify that oDesk questions are appropriate). I have a project for which I was hired, and the client has given me authorization to subcontract a few hours of UI/UX expertise. I don't want to make the client hire the UI/UX guy directly; however, if I hire someone with my company account and then bill the client for the time, oDesk is taking 19% off the top (10% twice). I've checked their FAQ and filed a support ticket several days ago, but nobody has replied. If there's anyone who has had experience with oDesk agencies, do you think it can be handled this way? In other words, can I be the developer in my own agency while also having a UX person on the team?
