    Hi! all I have an application, that is accessing by number of users at the same time. Those users, who are accessing the application getting the same id. Here what i am doing in the code is, when they are creating new user i am getting a max id from DB and increasing the value to 1. So that they are getting same ID. so that i am facing concurrency in this situation. How to solve this problem. I need to display different numbers when the users click on NewUser. I am using SQL server 2008 and .NET 3.5 and C#.NET Thanks in advance.

    I have the following code: HttpClient FETCHER HttpResponse response = FETCHER.execute(host, httpMethod); Im trying to read its contents to a string like this: HttpEntity entity = response.getEntity(); InputStream st = entity.getContent(); StringWriter writer = new StringWriter(); IOUtils.copy(st, writer); String content = writer.toString(); The problem is, when i fetch http://www.google.co.in/ page, the transfer encoding is chunked, and i get only the first chunk. It fetches till first "". How do i get all the chunks at once so i can dump the complete output and do some processing on it ?

    I used GData API to pull in Calender info. It works fine if I use 1.6. But the same code, if I change to Android 2.0 & up, it would throw AuthenticationException. Below is my code for ur ref: CalendarService myService = new CalendarService("My Application"); myService.setUserCredentials(args[0],args[1]); // Set up the URL and the object that will handle the connection: URL feedUrl = new URL("http://www.google.com/calendar/feeds/"+args[0]+"/private/full"); args[0] & args[1] are the credentials. AuthenticationException will be thrown when calling myService.setUserCredentials(). Anybody has any clue?

  • Passing data back from detailViewController to Uitableview

    I am currently at the issue where I have a UITableviewCell that needs to be updated. When the user presses on the uitableviewcell - THERES ONLY 1!!, the user is pushed to a UITABLEVIEWCONTROLLER where the user is allowed to select 1 of multiple cells with their own titles. I need to get the clicked tableviewcells title and pass the value back to the parentviewcontroller and update the 1 tableviewcell's name to the one the user clicked in the pushed uitableivewcontroller. Here is a picture of the parent viewcontroller... And heres the picture of the pushed viewcontroller.... I was told earlier yesterday that delegation would be needed but I am unsure what to do at this point :/.     I need to use an existing PostGIS database from my Rails application. So far I am able to access the DB just fine, GeoRuby nicely converts the 'geom' column into a Point object. What I am looking for is an easy way to execute ActiveRecord-like queries on those tables, e.g. Poi.find_within_radius(...) or similar spatial queries like distance calculations et. al. I tried several combinations of geokit, accompanying rails plugins but I'm quite sure there must be something better out there in the ruby/rails universe. Any hints?

    There are two tables. One is users info "users", one is comments info "comments". I need to create new field "comments" in users table, that contains number of comments of that user. Table "comments" has "user" field with user's id of that comment. What is optimal way to count number of comments by every user? With php you should write script that selects every user and than count number of his comments and then update "comments" field. It is not hard for me, but boring. Is it possible to do it without php, only in MySQL?

  • TFS: Choose which Team Project to add a solution too.

    I have a solution which I developed in VS2008 and which I am trying to add to Source Control (TFS 2010, though the issue happened in TFS 2008 as well). I have several TFS workspaces on my computer and I have access to several Team Projects. When I right click the solution in my Solution Explorer and choose the "Add Solution to Source Control" option I am never given an option of choosing which Workspace or which Team Project to add the existing solution too. VS2008 then proceeds to add it to the same team project every time. I have tried selecting an alternate workspace/team project in every window where I can see an option for it but it always adds it back to the same one. I even tried changing the name of my new workspace so that alphabetically it was the first thinking that it might be somehow related to that... no luck. I then tried goign to the Change Source Control window where you can add/remove bindings on a solution/project but that window also defaults to the same Team Project as trying to add the solution directly does... Any help would be greatly appreciated with this, maybe I'm just missing something?

    Hi everyone, I'm trying to modify the Notepad tutorial (the Notepadv3 solution) to take in a value into the NoteEdit class, given to by the Notepadv3 class. I've successfully used .putExtra in the OnListItemClick method to place the value into the NoteEdit class, but I'm struggling to do this for the createNote method; I'm getting a force close when I try to create a new note. I bet there's a simple solution, but I'm pretty new to Java & Android and would very much appreciate your help.     I've refactored how the merged-dictionary (all_classes) below is created, but I'm wondering if it can be more efficient. I have a dictionary of dictionaries, like this: groups_and_classes = {'group_1': {'class_A': [1, 2, 3], 'class_B': [1, 3, 5, 7], 'class_c': [1, 2], # ...many more items like this }, 'group_2': {'class_A': [11, 12, 13], 'class_C': [5, 6, 7, 8, 9] }, # ...and many more items like this } A function creates a new object from groups_and_classes like this (the function to create this is called often): all_classes = {'class_A': [1, 2, 3, 11, 12, 13], 'class_B': [1, 3, 5, 7, 9], 'class_C': [1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9] } Right now, there is a loop that does this: all_classes = {} for group in groups_and_classes.values(): for c, vals in group.iteritems(): for v in vals: if all_classes.has_key(c): if v not in all_classes[c]: all_classes[c].append(v) else: all_classes[c] = [v] So far, I changed the code to use a set instead of a list since the order of the list doesn't matter and the values need to be unique: all_classes = {} for group in groups_and_classes.values(): for c, vals in group.iteritems(): try: all_classes[c].update(set(vals)) except KeyError: all_classes[c] = set(vals) This is a little nicer, and I didn't have to convert the sets to lists because of how all_classes is used in the code. Question: Is there a more efficient way of creating all_classes (aside from building it at the same time groups_and_classes is built, and changing everywhere this function is called)?

  • How can I extract System.Net.Mail from Mono and rename the namespaces?

    Microsoft's implementation of System.Net.Mail does not provide a robust mailing solution. I would like to use Mono's implementation of System.Net.Mail instead, however that namespace is embedded in the System.dll shipped with Mono, and has exact same namespaces as the original .net framework. What I would like to do is instead extract System.Net.Mail from the mono solution and rename namespaces to Mono.System.Net.Mail. Then I can compile this in its own DLL and finally have a mailing solution that works! Can anyone tell me how this can be done?
