  • MySQL gzipped Export in PhpMyAdmin has wrong size in Mozilla

    That is really strange. I am using PhpMyAdmin 2.11.9.6 on Linux hosting. While I am Exporting databases using "gzipped" compression in Mozilla, I am getting files which have size of uncompressed database, but they seems to be downloading in incredible speed (10 times quicker than is possible using my ISP). So at the end: for database of 10M size I am getting 10M gzip downloaded in miniseconds it has indeed shown 10M size on drive it is corrupted Zip compression is working just fine (I am getting file with cca 1M size with fine content of compressed database) And the weirdest thing: that is happening for Mozilla Firefox (13.0.1) only, Internet Explorer 9 is downloading correct gzipped files... Any hint?

    When i made a new drive it take some space for system file FAT32 take the less space, then NTFS, then ext4 my question how to know the space will be taken for the system before make the drive, if the drive 1giga or 100giga for FAT32, NTFS, ext4. Edit: when make 10MB drive with FAT32 the size shown 9.9 when make 10MB drive with ext4 the size shown 8.1 the same thing with the bigger size there always some space used and there is no files on the drive, so where this space go, if it for the filesystem how i can calculate the space that will be taken before format the drive

The actual array is of variable size, but structured like this. Basically, I'd like to run array_intersect on each second level array and grab the value (number) that is common between them.     1- In Windows CE, I have a Bitmap object in C#. 2- I have a C function in an extern dll that expects as parameters the pointer to a bytes array that represents an image in RGB565 format, width and height. This function will draw on this array of bytes. So I need to pass the byte array pointer of the Bitmap object, but I can find a practical way to get this pointer. One way is convert this Bitmap into a bytes array using a memory stream or something else, but it will create a new bytes array, so I will keep in memory both object, the Bitmap and the bytes array, but I don’t want it because the few available memory, that’s why I need to access to the bytes array of the bitmap object, not create a new bytes array. Anyone can help me?

  • Huge discrepancy in Inkscape file size

    When using Inkscape to create many pictures with common elements across them, I tend to copy the first SVG file I have created as many times as I need pictures, and then edit the copies. If I reuse files across projects, it can result in a file being copied and modified tens to hundreds of files. I have recently realized that the latest copies have a size between 29 and 60 MB, slowing my computer down significatively. My pictures are very simple, nothing that would normally go over 1 MB in size. As an experiment, I copied the entire content of one of the latest files into a new Inkscape file. I am certain that I have copied the content of the file entirely (I have only one layer and I used the "Select All" option). The new file has a size of 102,2 KB. This would indicate that about 30 MB of data per file is irrelevant to me. What could be the cause of this size difference ? Is there a way to reduce the size of a file without having to copy the content into a new file ? I am using Inkscape 0.48.4 on Debian Unstable. Thanks for any input you might be able to provide !
