    I have installed Symfony2 on a iis 7 server with PHP 5.3.21 and everything works ok ( the php, the symphony demo page ). I try to create my own helloWorld, as the tutorial says : php app/console generate:bundle I go Start-Run-CMD and put that line of code and it gives me back this : could not open input file : app/console and before anyone asks i am in the project directory when i perform this command I put the PHP directory to the System PATH but the problem persists.

    I'm trying to use a convention to map UInt32 properties to a SQL Server 2008 database. I don't seem to be able to create a solution based on existing web sources, due to updates in the way Fluent NHibernate works - i.e. examples are out of date. I'm trying to have NHibernate generate the schema (via ExposeConfiguration). I'm happy to have NHibernate map it to anything sensible (e.g. bigint). Here's my code as it currently stands (which, when I try to expose the schema, fails due to SQL Server not supporting UInt32). Apologies for the code being a little long, but I'm not 100% sure what is relevant to the problem, so I'm erring on the side of caution. Most of it is based on this post. The error reported is: System.ArgumentException : Dialect does not support DbType.UInt32 I think I'll need a relatively comprehensive example, as I don't seem to be able to pull the pieces together into a working solution, at present.   • Casting between variant and bstr_t causing inconsisten crash in Windows 2008

    We have a C# application, calling a simple C++ wrapper class, that then calls an existing C++ DLL. The C++ code is all VC++ 6.0. We are getting inconsistent behaviour, but the crash, when it happens, always happens within the C++ wrapper DLL, and always in the same spot (have confirmed using painful logging statements). It never happens on any environment except on Windows 2008, so we suspect some bad-but-not-fatal memory trashing is going on that somehow Windows 2008 is being more mindful of. Here's the relevant code, if anyone has any ideas on why this might be crashing it would be much appreciated. We've been tearing our hair out for a few days and project timelines are slipping all for the want of being able to return a simple string back to C#...   • Speed up a web service for auto complete and avoid too many method calls.

    So I've got my jquery autocomplete 'working,' but its a little fidgety since I call the webservice method each time a keydown() fires so I get lots of methods hanging and sometimes to get the "auto" to work I have to type it out and backspace a bit because i'm assuming it got its return value a little slow. I've limited the query results to 8 to mininmize time. Is there anything i can do to make this a little snappier? Right now the put statement has a hardcoded local file path. I need to specify a dynamic path. I've tried put %~dp0\myfile.DTL myfile.dtl but it says it can't find the file.

  • Copy operation fails when running executable using shortcut.

    I've coded a C# executable that uses xcopy (cmd.exe /Q /D /C xcopy [args]) to duplicate some files. If I run the .exe by double-clicking it, the xcopy operation works every time. If I run the .exe by double-clicking a shortcut to the .exe, the xcopy works only if the shortcut is in the same folder as the .exe. This makes absolutely no sense to me, I wouldn't even know where to begin to find the answer. So, you know, help.

  • Linux configurations that would affect Java memory usage?

    Hi, Background: I have a set of java background workers I start as part of my webapp. I develop locally on Ubuntu 10.10 and deploy to an Ubuntu 10.04LTS server (a media temple (ve) instance). They're both running the same JVM: Sun JVM 1.6.0_22-b04. As part of the initialization script each worker is started with explicit Xmx, Xms, and XX:MaxPermGen settings. Yet somehow locally all 10 workers use 250MB, while on the server they use more than 2.7GB. I don't know how to begin to track this down. I thought the Ubuntu (and thus, kernel) version might make a difference, but I tried an old 10.04 VM and it behaves as expected. I've noticed that the machine does not seem to ever use memory for buffer or cache (according to htop), which seems a bit strange, but perhaps normal for a server?     I want to write an emacs function that does the following - 1) Start a new shell named "abc". 2) Change the dir "/opt/abc" 3) In the dir run a shell command "python abc.py" I have written the following fucntion - (defun abc-server () (interactive) (shell-command "cd /opt/abc/") (shell-command "python abc.py")) The problem with the above - 1) It doesnt start a new shell 2) It doesnt change the dir. 3) When the cmd executes, it opens a browser window, which completely blocks any usage of emacs.
