Anyone else experiencing high rates of Linux server crashes during a leap second day?

Where can I download edx opensource learning platform? What other learning platforms are opensource?
I have just found a query on the edx platform in which I am interested, being a significant piece of Learning Management System open source. I assume superuser platform cares about computer software, and therefore I don't see the question irrelevant.
Besides I would like to know why a question is closed with a vague argument as "doesn't fit with the FAQ".
Thanks very much,

I have a table in SQL Server with around 400,000 rows. Unfortunately, this table has many duplicate rows, as there isn't a primary key. I'm using SELECT DISTINCT to get all unique rows, but as there's so many of them, I keep getting timeout errors. What's the best way to approach this problem?

I know I can replicate a slide called A so that my slide transition goes like this:
A - B - A - C - ...
However, is there an easy way for me to configure such transition such that I do not have to duplicate my slides? If so, how? Thanks in advance.

What are PATH and other environment variables, and how can I set or use them?
I have the default package of Ruby installed that shipped with the OS, which is an older version.
I have recently installed MacPorts with the latest Ruby version which is installed in a seperate location:-
/opt/local/bin/
But when I run
which ruby
I get
/usr/bin/ruby
Is there any way to edit the path of the command ruby so it would reference the new installation in the /opt/ directory?
Thanks in advance.

(Please no discussion about the best anti-virus software)
This single-command BASH script file is difficult to understand, so I want to write a comment for each of the actions:
grep -R "%" values* \
| sed -e "s/%/\n%/" \
| grep "%" \
| grep -v " % " \
| grep -v " %<" \
| grep -v "%s" \
| grep -v "%d" \
| grep -v "%1$s"
I would hate having to duplicate lines, or having each comment far away from the line it applies to.
But at the same time BASH does not seem to allow "in-line" comments.
Any elegant way to solve this problem?
I have two independent testing teams currently testing the same application.
One team is using ClearQuest, and the other is using Mantis.
It has been a huge effort to manage all of the duplicate reported bugs.
What options would improve this situation?
My constraint is that the ClearQuest team will not change test reporting tools. The migration to ClearQuest also comes with a large training effort.

Auto-tagging MP3s
I'm currently using musicbranz picard to tag files that don't have any usable tagging information. For some reason, currently none of the files I trying to ID seem to be identified, despite some of them them being artists who are almost certainly on musicbrainz.
So, I'm looking for something that uses an alternate database and does the same thing - to identify unknown music files off an audio fingerprint. Windows is preferred, but I would be fine with any of the big 3 OSes (Windows/Linux/OS X).
