    CPU, Memory, Network, IO resources are under utilized when I tried various JMeter load testing. I have given below the details. Hardware: 1 Core with 2 GB RAM OS: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Server Edition Application: PHP (using JQuery, Ajax) JMeter Parameters: 10, 20, 30, 40 Hits per minute 220 Test Cases per hit 2.03 MB per hit I am not clear, why these resources are under utilized. Please help me to resolve this.

    I have 1GB Linode VPS with a standard LAMP stack. Apache is tuned fine but for some reason MySQL's disk usage is high. This is causing really slow site load times. RAM and CPU usage are fine. I need to know this because our ISP enforces a cap on monthly bandwidth usage (i.e. the total amount data in GB that can sent or received in a month). So just wondering like how much KBs or MBs are transferred per hour in an average RDP session.

  • Finder Using Nearly 100% CPU

    I'm having a problem where the Finder uses WAY too much CPU time. It's using up to 100% of one of my cores. I'm running 10.6.2 on a MacBook Pro w/ 6GB of RAM, plenty of fast (SSD) disk space. I also run DropBox and BackBlaze. I've tried disabling my third party stuff (DropBox and BackBlaze), but that doesn't seem to help. It's killing my battery life!

I tried HWMonitor and it works great except it doesn't have live logging. I need live logging because the system I'm using seems to overheat and shutdown (assuming it's related to overheating) and I'd like to catch the failing point.

On last Saturday(31 June 2012), Java applications suddenly started to use 100% CPU like described in this on some servers. The problem was recovered after restarted tomcat. It's similar to Java leap second bug but it happened during day not midnight. The time was around 17:35(GMT+9) on 31 June. Can cause of this problem be leap second?

    I'm having serious issues with a xen based server, this is on the guest partition. It's a paravirtualized CentOS 5.5. The following numbers are taken from top while copying a large file over the network. If i copy the file another time the speed decreases in relation to load average. So the second time it's half the speed of the first time. It needs some time to cool off after this.   • Windows Media Player Network Sharing eating lots of CPU

    There is a process, wmpnetwk.exe, which sometimes goes crazy and starts eating like 60-70% CPU. If I kill the process it just comes back again, so the only solution I've found is to stop the WMPNetworkSvc service, which makes the whole thing stop. I don't use WMP, so I don't care if this is disabled, but I'd like to know what's causing it (Google has revealed that it also happened to other people), and if there's a more permanent way of fixing the problem.

  • Reducing memory for worker MPM in Apache

    I've moved from the prefork MPM to the worker MPM due to a process limit I was hitting on my VPS. However, memory usage increased after switching over (which is odd since the worker MPM is supposed to have a smaller memory footprint?). Most of them belong to php-cgi processes. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I have around 20 sites on it, each with a different fcgi wrapper script. Could that be a reason?

I can try looking up the specs of various drives, but vendors have been known to exaggerate, or use numbers that are on accurate in tests that do not reflect actual usage.
