• Problems using Maven to initialize a local thoughtsite (App Engine sample) project in Eclipse

  This sample app ("thoughtsite") for App Engine contains a pom.xml in its trunk: http://code.google.com/p/thoughtsite/source/browse/#svn/trunk I ran mvn eclipse:eclipse and also tried using m2eclipse to import this source code into an Eclipse project. • Publish failed using Ant publisher (Eclipse/datanucleus).

  Dear All, I am being driven mad the following (apparently hard) error from eclipse. Publish failed using Ant publisher Resource is out of sync with the file system: '/MyServlet/build/classes/com/inver/hotzones/database/BaseNetworkData.class'. I have seen comments on similar errors where refreshing eclipses view of the project helps but it is not helping me. Have tried cleaning the project, removing it from the webserver, deleting war files but cant seem to clear it. I have reset my TMPDIR variable so that it uses a directory on the same filesystem as that appeared to be another possible cause. The error occurs on classes which have been enhanced by datanuculeus. I have auto-enhance on the project. The other references to this problem indicate that it is due to Eclipses view of the project being out of step with the filesystem, and I am guessing that this has something to do with thedata nucleus enhancement. Any ideas? Thanks. I am using Eclipse 3.5.2 with latest datanucleus pluggins. • stopping backspace on multiple browsers using jQuery

  Hello, I'm working through the exercises in Accelerated C++ and I'm stuck on question 5-6. Here's the problem description: (somewhat abbreviated, I've removed extraneous info.) 5-6. Write the extract_fails function so that it copies the records for the passing students to the beginning of students, and then uses the resize function to remove the extra elements from the end of students. (students is a vector of student structures. student structures contain an individual student's name and grades.) More specifically, I'm having trouble getting the vector.insert function to properly copy the passing student structures to the start of the vector students.   I'm having a ridiculously strange problem. When I try to run the program below, there's an error message that says: "error C2512: 'Record' : no appropriate default constructor available". And when I double-click it, it directs me to a precompiled read-only header file named "xmemory0". Do they expect me to change a read-only file? • Static library not included in resulting LLVM executable

  Hi, I am trying to compile a c program using LLVM and I am having trouble getting some static libraries included. I have successfully compiled those static libraries using LLVM and, for example, libogg.a is present, as is ogg.l.bc. However, when I try to build the final program, it does not include the static ogg library. • Scrolling to the bottom of a div on page load: issue with syntaxhighlighter

  I've been using this code: var objDiv = document.getElementById("code"); objDiv.scrollTop = objDiv.scrollHeight; to scroll to the very bottom of the div. It worked perfectly in FF and Chrome (I asked a question about it not working in Chrome a few days ago, but it appears the guy who was testing it on Chrome was incorrect, so I tested it myself) until I started syntax highlighting the code that I put in the div with SyntaxHighlighter. Before, I was putting the code in a <p> and breaking lines with <br />, but the <br /> stuff doesn't fly with SyntaxHighlighter, so I replaced all of those with newlines (not entirely certain if this is important, but it's worth mentioning). Now, when the page loads, it does scroll, but not all the way down. It scrolls nearly to the bottom. I've tried all the methods listed in the other question I mentioned but they all do the same thing, or nothing at all. Is there anything else I can try? I've used the Vertex template successfully throughout my Graph, return pointers to Vertices, etc. Now for the first time I am trying to declare and instantiate a Vertex object, and gcc is telling me that my 'declarator' is 'invalid'. • ExtJS 4 Chart Axis Display Issue in Chrome

  I've run into an issue while using ExtJS 4.0.7. I'm trying to display a chart with two series on a Numeric/Category Chart. The chart displays correctly in Firefox, but while using Chrome (18.0.1025.142) the x axis labels are either all stacked upon each or else (when using rotate) rendered behind the chart in the specified angle. Any ideas would be appreciated. • Algorithm for finding similar users through a join table

  I have an application where users can select a variety of interests from around 300 possible interests. Each selected interest is stored in a join table containing the columns user_id and interest_id. Typical users select around 50 interests out of the 300. I would like to build a system where users can find the top 20 users that have the most interests in common with them. Right now I am able to accomplish this using the following query: SELECT i2.user_id, count(i2.interest_id) AS count FROM interests_users as i1, interests_users as i2 WHERE i1.interest_id = i2.interest_id AND i1.user_id = 35 GROUP BY i2.user_id ORDER BY count DESC LIMIT 20; However, this query takes approximately 500 milliseconds to execute with 10,000 users and 500,000 rows in the join table. All indexes and database configuration settings have been tuned to the best of my ability. I have also tried avoiding the use of joins altogether using the following query: select user_id,count(interest_id) count from interests_users where interest_id in (13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29,30,31,32,33,34,35,36,37,38,39,40,41,42,43,44,45,46,47,48,49,50,51,52,53,54,55,56,57,58,59,60,61,62,63,64,65,66,68,69,70,71,72,73,74,75,76,77,78,79,80,81,82,83,84,85,86,87,88,89,90,91,92,93,94,95,96,97,98,508) group by user_id order by count desc limit 20; But this one is even slower (~800 milliseconds). How could I best lower the time that I can gather this kind of data to below 100 milliseconds? I have considered putting this data into a graph database like Neo4j, but I am not sure if that is the easiest solution or if it would even be faster than what I am currently doing.

  Hi all, I attempted to render a circle in opengl es 1.1 as a test before building a larger program, but it renders as an oval. When it renders, the shape on screen appears to be an oval, significantly taller than it is wide. My question is thus: why is my circle rendering this way, and what could I do to fix it? This is the first question on stackoverflow, so I'm not sure how to share an image of my output.

I can't use "display: table" because it isn't supported in IE7 and such, so I'm pretty much stuck using a regular table element unless there is something better out there that is supported in older browsers. Does anyone know how this can be accomplished?

  I originally made another thread about this a couple of months ago in regards to ZF2 injecting into tables with DI during Beta 1 and figured back then that it wasn't really possible. Now ZF2 has been released as version 2.0.0 and ServiceManager is defaulted to instead of DI I guess I have the same question now I'm refactoring.
