    I start an external groovy script via cruisecontrol, which basically works. My problem is that if the groovy script fails I only get the "error string found" in my cruise webapp and email; its even not in the log files. The groovy script writes it output to stdout and to a logfile.     Hi. I'm a little behind in my X86 Asm class, and the book is making me want to shoot myself in the face. The examples in the book are insufficient and, honestly, very frustrating because of their massive dependencies upon the author's link library, which I hate. I wanted to learn ASM, not how to call his freaking library, which calls more of his library. Anyway, I'm stuck on a lab that requires console input and output. So far, I've got this for my input: input PROC INVOKE ReadConsole, inputHandle, ADDR buffer, Buf - 2, ADDR bytesRead, 0 mov eax,OFFSET buffer Ret input EndP I need to use the input and output procedures multiple times, so I'm trying to make it abstract. I'm just not sure how to use the data that is set to eax here. My initial idea was to take that string array and manually crawl through it by adding 8 to the offset for each possible digit (Input is integer, and there's a little bit of processing) but this doesn't work out because I don't know how big the input actually is. So, how would you swap the string array into an integer that could be used? How do I execute a 'Build Solution' once I have the COM object that references the VS2003 instance? How do I get the string contents of the build output window after executing the build solution command? Yes, I am aware that I can build a solution from the command line.     I am new to CUDA and programming GPUs. I need each thread in my block to use a vector of length ndim. So I thought I might do something like this: extern __shared__ float* smem[]; ... if (threadIddx.x == 0) { for (int d=0; d<ndim; ++d) { smem[d] = vector[d]; } } __syncthreads(); ... This works fine. However, I seems wasteful that a single thread should do all loading, so I changed the code to if (threadIdx.x < ndim) { smem[threadIdx.x] = vector[threadIdx.x]; } __syncthreads(); which does not work. Why? It gives different results than the above code even when ndim << blockDim.x.

    Hi, in Java I think it is possible to cruise through jar files like they were not compressed. Is there some similar (and portable) thing in C/C++ ? I would like to import binary data into memory from a large (zipped or similar) file without decompressing to disk first and afterwards writing to disk in a compressed way. Maybe some trick with shell pipes and the zip utility?

I invoke every method in the same way. How it's impossible ??

  • Visualizing read-only folders

    My application displays a folder structure in a tree. The user can browse the contents in these folders, and drag content into the folders. However, some of these folders are readonly (meaning no content can be dragged into them). I'm looking for a clear way of depicting this to the user, so they are aware which folders they can drag to before actually having to try it, i.e. hover state. Something not too alarming or interrupting (no big red crosses overlayed on top of the folder icons, for instance), preferably a recognized standard. Specifically, we are talking about an Outlook add-in showing a SharePoint folder tree here, but I'd much rather get the answer from a generic viewpoint. From the top of my head, I simply don't seem to know any applications that visually mark readonly folders.

    I have texts that most of the time fit in a div, but sometimes it doesn't fit. There is no way to determine how many characters/words/paragraphs fit in the div, so I can't cut it off that way. The div had a fixed height and width, so can we do something with that? Or do you have any suggestion how to get everything in the div, the correct way?

    The class is documented in http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa375050%28VS.85%29.aspx And from this page it seems it's not an abstract class: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa375084%28VS.85%29.aspx But whenever I run the code below I get an "Invalid Class" exception in ManagementObjectSearcher.Get(). So, does this class exist or not? Is this something I should have but have not? How do I obtain it? Is it necessary in the querying machine or the queried machine? Or both?
