• System context menu Icon not transparent like WinRAR

  I added a icon at the system context menu(the popped up menu when we right mouse click on any file/foler). But the icon is not transparent(in xp its not notice able, but in vista/win7 it is clearly visible) there is a white background beneath the icon. But WinRAR or TortoiseSVN icons don't have any white background, they are transparent. I tried the following C++ code: #define BITMAP_MAIN 201 //in resource.h BITMAP_MAIN BITMAP "main.bmp" // in .rc file // showing icon in menu...   I think I may be using a wrong window style or something or maybe just adding the menu to the window incorrectly. • How do you move an admin menu item in Magento

  I currently have an extension that I created and it currently sits inside of its own top level menu. I would like to move it so that the item would appear inside of the Customers menu. Does anyone know how to do this? It looks like this is handled inside the extensions config.xml file. The code that I have for it right now is as follows: <menu> <testimonials module="testimonials"> <title>Testimonials</title> <sort_order>71</sort_order> <children> <items module="testimonials"> <title>Manage Items</title> <sort_order>0</sort_order> <action>testimonials/adminhtml_testimonials</action> </items> </children> </testimonials> </menu> I tried changing the title element to Customers and it just created a duplicate Customers menu. • Jquery cant get facebox working inside ajax call

  From my main page I call an ajax file via jquery, in that ajax file is some additional jquery code. Original link looks like this: <a href="/page1.php" class="guest-action notify-function"><img src="/icon1.png"></a> Then the code: $(document).ready(function(){ $('a[rel*=facebox]').facebox(); $('.guest-action').click( function() { $.get( $(this).attr('href'), function(responseText) { $.jGrowl(responseText); }); return false; }); $('.notify-function').click( function() { $(this).find('img').attr('src','/icon2.png'); $(this).attr('href','/page2.php'); $(this).removeClass('guest-action').removeClass('notify-function').attr('rel','facebox'); }); }); So basically after notify-function is clicked I am changing the icon and the url of the link, I then am removing the classes so that the click wont be ran again and add rel="facebox" to the link so that the facebox window will pop up if they try to click the new icon2.png that shows up. The problem is after I click the initial icon everything works just fine except when I try to click the new icon2.png it still executes the jgrowl code from the guest-action. But when I view the source it shows this: <a href="/page2.php" rel="facebox" class=""><img src="/icon2.png"></a> So it seemed that should work right? What am I doing wrong? I tried adding the facebox code to the main page that is calling the ajax file as well and still same issue.

• i can't see a context menu of WPF windows app through VNC

  I can open a context menu but cannot see the opened menu list through VNC. (I know that i can open the context menu by checking the vnc server machine directly) I tested on different vnc servers / clients machines (although all of them are windows Vista), and different wpf app, but still I cant see any menu list. Is this a reported problem? I found some information about wpf problem relating to windows desktop, but i dont know about vnc. ADDED : I dont have this problem on windows native apps or windows forms apps under my vnc environment.

• How to create a dynamically built Context Menu clickEvent

  C#, winform I have a DataGridView and a context menu that opens when you right click a specific column. What shows up in the context menu is dependant on what's in the field clicked on - paths to multiple files (the paths are manipulated to create a full UNC path to the correct file). The only problem is that I can't get the click working. I did not drag and drop the context menu from the toolbar, I created it programmically. I figured that if I can get the path (let's call it ContextMenuChosen) to show up in MessageBox.Show(ContextMenuChosen); I could set the same to System.Diagnostics.Process.Start(ContextMenuChosen); The Mydgv_MouseUp event below actually works to the point where I can get it to fire off MessageBox.Show("foo!"); when something in the context menu is selected but that's where it ends. I left in a bunch of comments below showing what I've tried when it one of the paths are clicked. Some result in empty strings, others error (Object not set to an instance...). I searched code all day yesterday but couldn't find another way to hook up a dynamically built Context Menu clickEvent. • How to display CodeRush menu item in VS ?

  I just installed CodeRush to my VS and when I run VS for the first time after installation it showed me a dialog asking if I'm experienced user. While the dialog was visible I could see that there was new menu item in VS named DevExpress. There was a small check box on that dialog saying something about menu items that I probably should have checked. As I did not the menu items disappeared just after I clicked OK. I cannot make that menu item reappear. Can somebody help me with this ?

  I have a Flex app with a viewport that loads a series of other swfs. I would like to place a context menu over top of the SWFs when the user right-clicks. To that end, I have set up a fairly standard context menu where each item has a ContextMenuEvent.MENU_ITEM_SELECT event handler. One problem: The eventHandler never gets called. If I place the context-menu code anywhere else in the app, i.e. not on top of a loaded SWF, everything works fine. However, when I place the exact same code on the SWF viewport, the context menu items appear, but the eventHandlers are never called. Any ideas?

• Custom HorizontalFieldManager menu not showing

  I have created a class that extends HorizontalFieldManager so that I can display a label and an image on the same line with the label to the left and the image to the right. I want the user to be able to interact with the hfm as if it were a single field. I have everything working (focus, click action, etc) except the menu. When I press the menu button makeMenu and makeContextMenu are not called. How do I make it so that the correct menu shows when the menu button is clicked and focus is on the hfm? Am I going about this the wrong way?

• How do I "rebind" the click event after unbind('click') ?

  I have an anchor tag <a class="next">next</a> made into a "button". Sometimes, this tag needs to be hidden if there is nothing new to show. All works fine if I simply hide the button with .hide() and re-display it with .show(). But I wanted to uses .fadeIn() and .fadeOut() instead. The problem I'm having is that if the user clicks on the button during the fadeOut animation, it can cause problems with the logic I have running the show. The solution I found was to unbind the click event from the button after the original click function begins, and then re-bind it after the animation is complete. $('a.next').click(function() { $(this).unbind('click'); ... // calls some functions, one of which fades out the a.next if needed ... $(this).bind('click'); } the last part of the above example does not work. The click event is not actually re-bound to the anchor. does anyone know the correct way to accomplish this? I'm a self-taught jquery guy, so some of the higher level things like unbind() and bind() are over my head, and the jquery documentation isn't really simple enough for me to understand.

• IE7 & 8 not fireing jQuery click events for elements appended inside a table

  I have an IE bug that I'm not sure how to fix. Using jQuery I'm dynamically moving a menu to appear on an element on mouseover. It works as expected in everything else. You can see the behaviour in a basic demo here. In the demo you can see two examples of the issue: The image behind the buttons should change on hover (done with a CSS :hover selector). It works on the first mouseover but then persists. The click event doesn’t fire – however with the dev tools you can manually call it and it is still subscribed. You can see (2) in IE8's dev tools: Open page in IE8 Open dev tools Select "Script" tab and "Console" sub-tab Type: $j('#testFloat div.ico:first').click() to manually call any subscribed events There will be an alert on the page This means that I'm not losing the event subscriptions, they're still there, IE's just not calling them when I click. Does anyone know why this bug occurs (other than just because of IE's venerable engine)? Is there a workaround? Could it be something that I'm doing wrong that just happens to work as expected in everything else?

  I've just recently started programming, I was hoping for some help. I have a drop down menu that was originally activated by click_event, however I want to now implement hoverIntent in order to make the menu drop. The issue I am having now is being able to use the menu, because whenever I invoke the menu now, once I leave the area that activates the menu, the menu closes.
