  • How to apply query to model if field not filtered

    I have a range of modules running on generator.yml. In some of those I would like to hide records by default of Status: CLOSED (being the last of a range of Statuses). OF course if the user filters for CLOSED i want to show these records. I thought it would make sense to apply andWhere('status_id=?',Status::CLOSED) in a specific table_method , but how do I access the filters of the module from within the model? Is there a better way to do this?

  • Analysing objects generated by a Java application in between GCs.

    Is there a tool which could be used to analyse the objects being created between two separate garbage collection run (= number of objects created and their type) ? Heapdumps dont really work here as they perform a GC when they're invoked (or at least that's what I observed everytime so far), and I want to see which objects are collected by the GC, not which objects are left after the GC run, if that makes sense. ...or is it possible somehow to inspect the nature and size of objects being collected by the garbage collector ?

    What is the pros and cons in using FormsAuthentication to persist a login cookie? I see that StackOverflow ignore FormsAuthentication and instead implemented a different strategy to persist a login cookie. Pros Out of the box implementation for persistent login feature. Cons The login feature depends on the machine key which mean that I need to make sure that the machine key is the same on all the servers in the farm. The cookie contains wired encrypted values that don't really make sense to store in the cookie.

I've run some tests to see what it does: def main(): obj = fancy_obj(arg='C:\\') needle = (50, obj) haystack = [(50, fancy_obj(arg='C:\\')), (1, obj,), needle] print (1, fancy_obj(arg='C:\\'),) in haystack print needle in haystack if __name__ == '__main__': main() Which yields: False True This tells me that Python is probably checking the object references, which makes sense. Is there something more definitive I can look at?

  • How to remove "Standard Error" column from xtable() output of an lm on R/RSweave/LaTeX

    I'm currently doing some data analysis on population data, so reporting the standard errors in the tables of parameter coefficients just doesn't really make statistical sense. I've done a fair bit of searching and can't find any way to customize the xtable output to remove it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?     The CakePHP Cookbook states that a Model can use a file (csv for example) instead of an actual database table but I couldn't find any implementation for it. I was wondering if it is possible to use an Array of data as a model in CakePHP since I have a fairly static set of data which is important to me in a relationship with another table but it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to create a complete table for it. Is it possible to implement a CakePHP Model using an Array?

Have the super class create all the header component and open the components to the sub class, the sub class will access to component's setText method to update the text? or Have abstract method in super class to create the components, sub class will implement these methods to create the component.
