  • perl comparing 2 data file as array 2D for finding match one to one [migrated]

    - by roman serpa
    I'm doing a program that uses combinations of variables ( combiData.txt 63 rows x different number of columns) for analysing a data table ( j1j2_1.csv, 1000filas x 19 columns ) , to choose how many times each combination is repeated in data table and which rows come from (for instance, tableData[row][4]). I have tried to compile it , however I get the following message : Use of uninitialized value $val in numeric eq (==) at rowInData.pl line 34. Use of reference "ARRAY(0x1a2eae4)" as array index at rowInData.pl line 56. Use of reference "ARRAY(0x1a1334c)" as array index at rowInData.pl line 56. Use of uninitialized value in subtraction (-) at rowInData.pl line 56. Modification of non-creatable array value attempted, subscript -1 at rowInData.pl line 56. nothing This is my code: #!/usr/bin/perl use strict; use warnings; my $line_match; my $countTrue; open (FILE1, "<combiData.txt") or die "can't open file text1.txt\n"; my @tableCombi; while(<FILE1>) { my @row = split(' ', $_); push(@tableCombi, \@row); } close FILE1 || die $!; open (FILE2, "<j1j2_1.csv") or die "can't open file text1.txt\n"; my @tableData; while(<FILE2>) { my @row2 = split(/\s*,\s*/, $_); push(@tableData, \@row2); } close FILE2 || die $!; #function transform combiData.txt variable (position ) to the real value that i have to find in the data table. sub trueVal($){ my ($val) = $_[0]; if($val == 7){ return ('nonsynonymous_SNV'); } elsif( $val == 14) { return '1'; } elsif( $val == 15) { return '1';} elsif( $val == 16) { return '1'; } elsif( $val == 17) { return '1'; } elsif( $val == 18) { return '1';} elsif( $val == 19) { return '1';} else { print 'nothing'; } } #function IntToStr ( ) , i'm not sure if it is necessary) that transforms $ to strings , to use the function <eq> in the third loop for the array of combinations compared with the data array . sub IntToStr { return "$_[0]"; } for my $combi (@tableCombi) { $line_match = 0; for my $sheetData (@tableData) { $countTrue=0; for my $cell ( @$combi) { #my $temp =\$tableCombi[$combi][$cell] ; #if ( trueVal($tableCombi[$combi][$cell] ) eq $tableData[$sheetData][ $tableCombi[$combi][$cell] - 1 ] ){ #if ( IntToStr(trueVal($$temp )) eq IntToStr( $tableData[$sheetData][ $$temp-1] ) ){ if ( IntToStr(trueVal($tableCombi[$combi][$cell]) ) eq IntToStr($tableData[$sheetData][ $tableCombi[$combi][$cell] -1]) ){ $countTrue++;} if ($countTrue==@$combi){ $line_match++; #if ($line_match < 50){ print $tableData[$sheetData][4]."   • What information must never appear in logs?

    - by MainMa
I'm about to write the company guidelines about what must never appear in logs (trace of an application). In fact, some developers try to include as many information as possible in trace, making it risky to store those logs, and extremely dangerous to submit them, especially when the customer doesn't know this information is stored, because she never cared about this and never read documentation and/or warning messages. For example, when dealing with files, some developers are tempted to trace the names of the files. For example before appending file name to a directory, if we trace everything on error, it will be easy to notice for example that the appended name is too long, and that the bug in the code was to forget to check for the length of the concatenated string. It is helpful, but this is sensitive data, and must never appear in logs. In the same way: Passwords, IP addresses and network information (MAC address, host name, etc.)¹, Database accesses, Direct input from user and stored business data must never appear in trace. So what other types of information must be banished from the logs? Are there any guidelines already written which I can use? ¹ Obviously, I'm not talking about things as IIS or Apache logs. What I'm talking about is the sort of information which is collected with the only intent to debug the application itself, not to trace the activity of untrusted entities. Edit: Thank you for your answers and your comments. Since my question is not too precise, I'll try to answer the questions asked in the comments: What I'm doing with the logs? The logs of the application may be stored in memory, which means either in plain on hard disk on localhost, in a database, again in plain, or in Windows Events. In every case, the concern is that those sources may not be safe enough. For example, when a customer runs an application and this application stores logs in plain text file in temp directory, anybody who has a physical access to the PC can read those logs. The logs of the application may also be sent through internet. For example, if a customer has an issue with an application, we can ask her to run this application in full-trace mode and to send us the log file. Also, some application may sent automatically the crash report to us (and even if there are warnings about sensitive data, in most cases customers don't read them). Am I talking about specific fields? No. I'm working on general business applications only, so the only sensitive data is business data. There is nothing related to health or other fields covered by specific regulations. But thank you to talk about that, I probably should take a look about those fields for some clues about what I can include in guidelines. Isn't it easier to encrypt the data? No. It would make every application much more difficult, especially if we want to use C# diagnostics and TraceSource. It would also require to manage authorizations, which is not the easiest think to do. Finally, if we are talking about the logs submitted to us from a customer, we must be able to read the logs, but without having access to sensitive data. So technically, it's easier to never include sensitive information in logs at all and to never care about how and where those logs are stored.

  • Fixing some Visual Studio RC install issues

    - by terje
The Visual Studio RC has shown some install issues in some cases, particularly for those who upgrades from VS 11 Beta.  I have listed the fixes known now below, and will update if there are more issues.  Note that a repair will not fix the issue, and a Windows restore and subsequent reinstall may not fix it either.  The system seems to remember too much. That was the case for me, at least.  The fixes below however, cures these issues. 1. The Team Explorer Build node doesn’t work You get an error saying System.TypeLoadException like this: To solve this do as follows: 1. Open a command prompt as administrator 2. Go to your program files directory for VS 2012 and down to  the extension folder like:   C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\Common7\IDE\CommonExtensions\Microsoft\TeamFoundation\Team Explorer 3. Run “gacutil –if Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Build.Controls.dll     2. The SQL Editor gives loading error When you start up VS 2012 RC you get a loading error message.  The same happens if you try to go from the menu to  SQL/Transact-SQL Editor/New Query.    To solve this do as follows: 1. Open Control Panel/Programs and Features 2. Locate the “Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Data-Tier App Framework     (Note , you might find up to 4 such instances) The ones with version numbers ending in 55 is from the SQL 2012 RC, the ones ending in 60 is from the SQL 2012 RTM.  There are two of each, one for x32 and one for x64.  Which is which no one knows. 3. Right click each of them, and select Repair. (It would be nice if someone with this issue tries only the latest RTM ones, and see if that clears the error, and comment back to this post. I am out of non-functioning VS’s )   3.  Errors referring to some extension You get errors referring to some extension that can’t be loaded, or can’t be found.  Check the activity log (see below), and verify there.  If you see yellow collision warnings there, the fix here should solve those too. To solve these:    1. Open a Visual Studio 2012 command prompt 2.  Run:   devenv /resetsettings     How to check for errors using the log Do as follows to get to the activity log for Visual studio 2012 RC 1. Open a Visual Studio 2012 command prompt 2. Run:   devenv /log This starts up Visual Studio.  3. Go to %appdata%/Microsoft\VisualStudio\11.0 4. Double click the file named ActivityLog.xml.  It will start up in your browser, and be formatted using the xslt in the same directory. 5.  Look for items marked in red.  Example for Issue 1 :

  • RemoveHandler Issues with Custom Events

    - by Jeff Certain
This is a case of things being more complicated that I thought they should be. Since it took a while to figure this one out, I thought it was worth explaining and putting all of the pieces to the answer in one spot. Let me set the stage. Architecturally, I have the notion of generic producers and consumers. These put items onto, and remove items from, a queue. This provides a generic, thread-safe mechanism to load balance the creation and processing of work items in our application. Part of the IProducer(Of T) interface is: 1: Public Interface IProducer(Of T) 2: Event ItemProduced(ByVal sender As IProducer(Of T), ByVal item As T) 3: Event ProductionComplete(ByVal sender As IProducer(Of T)) 4: End Interface Nothing sinister there, is there? In order to simplify our developers’ lives, I wrapped the queue with some functionality to manage the produces and consumers. Since the developer can specify the number of producers and consumers that are spun up, the queue code manages adding event handlers as the producers and consumers are instantiated. Now, we’ve been having some memory leaks and, in order to eliminate the possibility that this was caused by weak references to event handles, I wanted to remove them. This is where it got dicey. My first attempt looked like this: 1: For Each producer As P In Producers 2: RemoveHandler producer.ItemProduced, AddressOf ItemProducedHandler 3: RemoveHandler producer.ProductionComplete, AddressOf ProductionCompleteHandler 4: producer.Dispose() 5: Next What you can’t see in my posted code are the warnings this caused. The 'AddressOf' expression has no effect in this context because the method argument to 'AddressOf' requires a relaxed conversion to the delegate type of the event. Assign the 'AddressOf' expression to a variable, and use the variable to add or remove the method as the handler.  Now, what on earth does that mean? Well, a quick Bing search uncovered a whole bunch of talk about delegates. The first solution I found just changed all parameters in the event handler to Object. Sorry, but no. I used generics precisely because I wanted type safety, not because I wanted to use Object. More searching. Eventually, I found this forum post, where Jeff Shan revealed a missing piece of the puzzle. The other revelation came from Lian_ZA in this post. However, these two only hinted at the solution. Trying some of what they suggested led to finally getting an invalid cast exception that revealed the existence of ItemProducedEventHandler. Hold on a minute! I didn’t create that delegate. There’s nothing even close to that name in my code… except the ItemProduced event in the interface. Could it be? Naaaaah. Hmmm…. Well, as it turns out, there is a delegate created by the compiler for each event. By explicitly creating a delegate that refers to the method in question, implicitly cast to the generated delegate type, I was able to remove the handlers: 1: For Each producer As P In Producers 2: Dim _itemProducedHandler As IProducer(Of T).ItemProducedEventHandler = AddressOf ItemProducedHandler 3: RemoveHandler producer.ItemProduced, _itemProducedHandler 4:  5: Dim _productionCompleteHandler As IProducer(Of T).ProductionCompleteEventHandler = AddressOf ProductionCompleteHandler 6: RemoveHandler producer.ProductionComplete, _productionCompleteHandler 7: producer.Dispose() 8: Next That’s “all” it took to finally be able to remove the event handlers and maintain type-safe code. Hopefully, this will save you the same challenges I had in trying to figure out how to fix this issue!

  • Intern Screening - Software 'Quiz'

    - by Jeremy1026
I am in charge of selecting a new software development intern for a company that I work with. I wanted to throw a little 'quiz' at the applicants before moving forth with interviews so as to weed out the group a little bit to find some people that can demonstrate some skill. I put together the following quiz to send to applicants, it focuses only on PHP, but that is because that is what about 95% of the work will be done in. I'm hoping to get some feedback on A. if its a good idea to send this to applicants and B. if it can be improved upon. # 1. FizzBuzz # Write a small application that does the following: # Counts from 1 to 100 # For multiples of 3 output "Fizz" # For multiples of 5 output "Buzz" # For multiples of 3 and 5 output "FizzBuzz" # For numbers that are not multiples of 3 nor 5 output the number. <?php ?> # 2. Arrays # Create a multi-dimensional array that contains # keys for 'id', 'lot', 'car_model', 'color', 'price'. # Insert three sets of data into the array. <?php ?> # 3. Comparisons # Without executing the code, tell if the expressions # below will return true or false. <?php if ((strpos("a","abcdefg")) == TRUE) echo "True"; else echo "False"; //True or False? if ((012 / 4) == 3) echo "True"; else echo "False"; //True or False? if (strcasecmp("abc","ABC") == 0) echo "True"; else echo "False"; //True or False? ?> # 4. Bug Checking # The code below is flawed. Fix it so that the code # runs properly without producing any Errors, Warnings # or Notices, and returns the proper value. <?php //Determine how many parts are needed to create a 3D pyramid. function find_3d_pyramid($rows) { //Loop through each row. for ($i = 0; $i < $rows; $i++) { $lastRow++; //Append the latest row to the running total. $total = $total + (pow($lastRow,3)); } //Return the total. return $total; } $i = 3; echo "A pyramid consisting of $i rows will have a total of ".find_3d_pyramid($i)." pieces."; ?> # 5. Quick Examples # Create a small example to complete the task # for each of the following problems. # Create an md5 hash of "Hello World"; # Replace all occurances of "_" with "-" in the string "Welcome_to_the_universe." # Get the current date and time, in the following format, YYYY/MM/DD HH:MM:SS AM/PM # Find the sum, average, and median of the following set of numbers. 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10. # Randomly roll a six-sided die 5 times. Store the 5 rolls into an array. <?php ?>

  • How to parse a CSV file containing serialized PHP? [migrated]

    - by garbetjie
I've just started dabbling in Perl, to try and gain some exposure to different programming languages - so forgive me if some of the following code is horrendous. I needed a quick and dirty CSV parser that could receive a CSV file, and split it into file batches containing "X" number of CSV lines (taking into account that entries could contain embedded newlines). I came up with a working solution, and it was going along just fine. However, as one of the CSV files that I'm trying to split, I came across one that contains serialized PHP code. This seems to break the CSV parsing. As soon as I remove the serialization - the CSV file is parsed correctly. Are there any tricks I need to know when it comes to parsing serialized data in CSV files? Here is a shortened sample of the code: use strict; use warnings; my $csv = Text::CSV_XS->new({ eol => $/, always_quote => 1, binary => 1 }); my $out; my $in; open $in, "<:encoding(utf8)", "infile.csv" or die("cannot open input file $inputfile"); open $out, ">outfile.000"; binmode($out, ":utf8"); while (my $line = $csv->getline($in)) { $lines++; $csv->print($out, $line); } I'm never able to get into the while loop shown above. As soon as I remove the serialized data, I suddenly am able to get into the loop. Edit: An example of a line that is causing me trouble (taken straight from Vim - hence the ^M): "26","other","1","20,000 Subscriber Plan","Some text here.^M\ Some more text","on","","18","","0","","0","0","recurring","0","","payment","totalsend","0","tsadmin","R34bL9oq","37","0","0","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","0","0","0","a:18:{i:0;s:1:\"3\";i:1;s:1:\"2\";i:2;s:2:\"59\";i:3;s:2:\"60\";i:4;s:2:\"61\";i:5;s:2:\"62\";i:6;s:2:\"63\";i:7;s:2:\"64\";i:8;s:2:\"65\";i:9;s:2:\"66\";i:10;s:2:\"67\";i:11;s:2:\"68\";i:12;s:2:\"69\";i:13;s:2:\"70\";i:14;s:2:\"71\";i:15;s:2:\"72\";i:16;s:2:\"73\";i:17;s:2:\"74\";}","","","0","0","","0","0","0.0000","0.0000","0","","","0.00","","6","1" "27","other","1","35,000 Subscriber Plan","Some test here.^M\ Some more text","on","","18","","0","","0","0","recurring","0","","payment","totalsend","0","tsadmin","R34bL9oq","38","0","0","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","0","0","0","a:18:{i:0;s:1:\"3\";i:1;s:1:\"2\";i:2;s:2:\"59\";i:3;s:2:\"60\";i:4;s:2:\"61\";i:5;s:2:\"62\";i:6;s:2:\"63\";i:7;s:2:\"64\";i:8;s:2:\"65\";i:9;s:2:\"66\";i:10;s:2:\"67\";i:11;s:2:\"68\";i:12;s:2:\"69\";i:13;s:2:\"70\";i:14;s:2:\"71\";i:15;s:2:\"72\";i:16;s:2:\"73\";i:17;s:2:\"74\";}","","","0","0","","0","0","0.0000","0.0000","0","","","0.00","","7","1" "28","other","1","50,000 Subscriber Plan","Some text here.^M\ Some more text","on","","18","","0","","0","0","recurring","0","","payment","totalsend","0","tsadmin","R34bL9oq","39","0","0","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","0","0","0","a:18:{i:0;s:1:\"3\";i:1;s:1:\"2\";i:2;s:2:\"59\";i:3;s:2:\"60\";i:4;s:2:\"61\";i:5;s:2:\"62\";i:6;s:2:\"63\";i:7;s:2:\"64\";i:8;s:2:\"65\";i:9;s:2:\"66\";i:10;s:2:\"67\";i:11;s:2:\"68\";i:12;s:2:\"69\";i:13;s:2:\"70\";i:14;s:2:\"71\";i:15;s:2:\"72\";i:16;s:2:\"73\";i:17;s:2:\"74\";}","","","0","0","","0","0","0.0000","0.0000","0","","","0.00","","8","1""73","other","8","10,000,000","","","","0","","0","","0","0","recurring","0","","payment","","0","","","75","0","10000000","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","0","0","0","a:17:{i:0;s:1:\"3\";i:1;s:1:\"2\";i:2;s:2:\"59\";i:3;s:2:\"60\";i:4;s:2:\"61\";i:5;s:2:\"62\";i:6;s:2:\"63\";i:7;s:2:\"64\";i:8;s:2:\"65\";i:9;s:2:\"66\";i:10;s:2:\"67\";i:11;s:2:\"68\";i:12;s:2:\"69\";i:13;s:2:\"70\";i:14;s:2:\"71\";i:15;s:2:\"72\";i:16;s:2:\"74\";}","","","0","0","","0","0","0.0000","0.0000","0","","","0.00","","14","0"

  • MySQL Server 5.6 default my.cnf and my.ini

    - by user12626240
We've introduced a default my.cnf / my.ini file for MySQL Server that you can now see in the 5.6.8 release candidate: # For advice on how to change settings please see # http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.6/en/server-configuration-defaults.html [mysqld] # Remove leading # and set to the amount of RAM for the most important data # cache in MySQL. Start at 70% of total RAM for dedicated server, else 10%. # innodb_buffer_pool_size = 128M   # Remove leading # to turn on a very important data integrity option: logging # changes to the binary log between backups. # log_bin   # These are commonly set, remove the # and set as required. # basedir = ..... # datadir = ..... # port = ..... # socket = ..... # server_id = .....   # Remove leading # to set options mainly useful for reporting servers. # The server defaults are faster for transactions and fast SELECTs. # Adjust sizes as needed, experiment to find the optimal values. # join_buffer_size = 128M # sort_buffer_size = 2M # read_rnd_buffer_size = 2M   sql_mode=NO_ENGINE_SUBSTITUTION,STRICT_TRANS_TABLES    There is also a template file called my-default.cnf or my-default.ini that has these lines near the start: # *** DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE. It's a template which will be copied to the # *** default location during install, and will be replaced if you # *** upgrade to a newer version of MySQL.   On Linux systems, the mysql_install_db command will copy the template file to the final location, where the server will read and use the file, removing the extra three lines. On Windows, the installer will create extra settings based on the answers you gave during installation. Neither will overwrite an existing my.cnf or my.ini file. The only initially active setting here is to change the value of  sql_mode from the server default of NO_ENGINE_SUBSTITUTION to NO_ENGINE_SUBSTITUTION,STRICT_TRANS_TABLES. This strict mode changes warnings for some non-standard behaviour into errors. This can cause applications which rely on the non-standard things, like dates that aren't valid, to lose data. If we had just changed the server default, the new setting would affect all servers that lack an explicit sql_mode setting, including those where strict mode is harmful. So we did it in the default file instead because that will only affect new server installations. You should expect that in our next version after 5.6, the server default will include STRICT_TRANS_TABLES. Our Windows installer and some of our connectors already use STRICT_TRANS_TABLES by default. Strict has been our preferred setting for many years and it is good to see some development platforms are using it. If you need the old behaviour, just remove the STRICT_TRANS_TABLES setting. If you do this, please also ask your application provider to make it unnecessary. They can do that by setting the session sql_mode setting in their own connections, so the rest of the applications using the server don't have to have an undesirable default. We've kept this file as small as possible because we found that our old files were too big and confused people. We've also now removed the old my-huge and related example files. One key part of this is the link to the documentation, where we will provide an introduction to some key settings. We'd like to hear your feedback on settings that will benefit most users or are most important to call out for existing users. Please do that by commenting here or if you prefer by adding comments to this bug report.

  • Silverlight data binding to parent user control's properties with using MVVM in both controls

    - by MagicMax
Hello! I have two UserControls ("UserControlParentView" and "UserControlChildView") with MVVM pattern implemented in both controls. Parent control is a container for Child control and child control's property should be updated by data binding from Parent control in order to show/hide some check box inside Child control. Parent Control Description UserControlParentViewModel has property: private bool isShowCheckbox = false; public bool IsShowCheckbox { get { return isShowCheckbox; } set { isShowCheckbox = value; NotifyPropertyChanged("IsShowCheckbox"); } } UserControlParentViewModel - how I set DataContext of Parent control: public UserControlParentView() { InitializeComponent(); this.DataContext = new UserControlParentViewModel(); } UserControlParentView contains toggle button (in XAML), bound to UserControlParentViewModel's property IsShowCheckbox <ToggleButton Grid.Column="1" IsChecked="{Binding IsShowCheckbox, Mode=TwoWay}"></ToggleButton> Also Parent control contains instance of child element (somewhere in XAML) <local:UserControlChildView IsCheckBoxVisible="{Binding IsShowCheckbox}" ></local:UserControlChildView> so property in child control should be updated when user togggle/untoggle button. Child control contains Boolean property to be updated from parent control, but nothing happened! Breakpoint never fired! Property in UserControlChildView that should be updated from Parent control (here I plan to make chechBox visible/hidden in code behind): public bool IsCheckBoxVisible { get { return (bool)GetValue(IsCheckBoxVisibleProperty); } set { SetValue(IsCheckBoxVisibleProperty, value); } } // Using a DependencyProperty as the backing store for IsCheckBoxVisible. This enables animation, styling, binding, etc... public static readonly DependencyProperty IsCheckBoxVisibleProperty = DependencyProperty.Register("IsCheckBoxVisible", typeof(bool), typeof(TopMenuButton), new PropertyMetadata(false)); So the question is - what I'm doing wrong? • Problems with builds on TFS 2010 and resolving dependencies

    - by Jimmy Engtröm
Hi I have a project that works great on my machine (and production servers). It's a VS2010 project running C#3.5. When letting my build server build the solution it can't resolve a couple of my third party dll's. Error message: C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\Microsoft.Common.targets(1360,9): warning MSB3268: The primary reference "Third.Party.Assembly, Version=50.11.2.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=0561a7c6dbd6f0ea, processorArchitecture=MSIL" could not be resolved because it has an indirect dependency on the framework assembly "Microsoft.VisualBasic.Compatibility, Version=8.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a" which could not be resolved in the currently targeted framework. ".NETFramework,Version=v3.5". To resolve this problem, either remove the reference "Third.Party.Assembly, Version=50.11.2.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=0561a7c6dbd6f0ea, processorArchitecture=MSIL" or retarget your application to a framework version which contains "Microsoft.VisualBasic.Compatibility, Version=8.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a". [d:\Builds\3\mySolution.sln] Everything compiles and runs great on my machine, but the build server seem to struggle. I think the Third.Party.Assembly is written in VB.net. Since the assembly is third party I can't remove the reference to "Microsoft.VisualBasic.Compatibility" and since I don't get any warnings on my computer could it really be that I'm running v3.5? Any suggestions? /Jimmy

  • Sqlite catalog and schema settings (for MyBatis generator)

    - by user1769754
    I have been trying to use the MyBatis generator on a Sqlite database but can't seem to find what settings to use for the XML attributes catalog and schema. The generator errors with "Generation Warnings Occured: Table configuration with catalog main, schema sqlite_master, and table testTable did not resolve to any tables" I can't find much from the sqlite website other than this which gives something like catalog = main, schema = sqlite or sqlite_master My generator XML file is <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?> <!DOCTYPE generatorConfiguration PUBLIC "-//mybatis.org//DTD MyBatis Generator Configuration 1.0//EN" "http://mybatis.org/dtd/mybatis-generator-config_1_0.dtd" > <generatorConfiguration > <context id="context"> <jdbcConnection driverClass="org.sqlite.JDBC" connectionURL="jdbc:sqlite:testDB.sqlite" userId="" password="" ></jdbcConnection> <javaModelGenerator targetPackage="model" targetProject="test/src" ></javaModelGenerator> <sqlMapGenerator targetPackage="model" targetProject="test/src" ></sqlMapGenerator> <javaClientGenerator targetPackage="model" targetProject="test" type="XMLMAPPER" ></javaClientGenerator> <table catalog="main" schema="sqlite_master" tableName="testTable" > <property name="useActualColumnNames" value="true"/> </table> </context> </generatorConfiguration> I have also tried other combinations like <table catalog="main" schema="sqlite" tableName="testTable" > <table schema="sqlite" tableName="testTable" > <table schema="sqlite_master" tableName="testTable" > <table schema="main.testTable" tableName="testTable" > Anyone here know the right settings?

  • Example of [NSDictionary getObjects:andKeys:]

    - by eagle
I couldn't find a working example of the method [NSDictionary getObjects:andKeys:] on Google. The only link I could find, doesn't compile. I provided the errors/warnings here in case someone is searching for them. The documentation says that it returns a C array. NSDictionary *myDictionary = ...; id objects[]; // Error: Array size missing in 'objects' id keys[]; // Error: Array size missing in 'keys' [myDictionary getObjects:&objects andKeys:&keys]; for (int i = 0; i < count; i++) { id obj = objects[i]; id key = keys[i]; } . • Rally Rest .NET API throws KeyNotFoundException when posting a new defect without required field value

    - by Triet Pham
I've tried to post a new defect to Rally via Rest .net api by the following code: var api = new RallyRestApi("<myusername>", "<mypassword>", "https://community.rallydev.com"); var defect = new DynamicJsonObject(); defect["Name"] = "Sample Defect"; defect["Description"] = "Test posting defect without required field value"; defect["Project"] = "https://trial.rallydev.com/slm/webservice/1.29/project/5808130051.js"; defect["SubmittedBy"] = "https://trial.rallydev.com/slm/webservice/1.29/user/5797741589.js"; defect["ScheduleState"] = "In-Progress"; defect["State"] = "Open"; CreateResult creationResult = api.Create("defect", defect); But the api throws a weird exception: System.Collections.Generic.KeyNotFoundException was unhandled Message=The given key was not present in the dictionary. Source=mscorlib StackTrace: at System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2.get_Item(TKey key) at Rally.RestApi.DynamicJsonObject.GetMember(String name) at Rally.RestApi.DynamicJsonObject.TryGetMember(GetMemberBinder binder, Object& result) at CallSite.Target(Closure , CallSite , Object ) at System.Dynamic.UpdateDelegates.UpdateAndExecute1[T0,TRet](CallSite site, T0 arg0) at Rally.RestApi.RallyRestApi.Create(String type, DynamicJsonObject obj) at RallyIntegrationSample.Program.Main(String[] args) in D:\Projects\qTrace\References\Samples\RallyIntegrationSample\Program.cs:line 24 The problem is when i checked out the trace log file of Rally, it showed exactly what wrong in the posting request: Rally.RestApi Post Response: { "CreateResult": { "_rallyAPIMajor":"1", "_rallyAPIMinor":"29", "Errors":["Validation error: Defect.Severity should not be null"], "Warnings":[] } } Instead of given the proper CreateResult object with according errors information in its property, the Rally Rest .Net Api throws an unexpected exception. Is that a mistake in Rally rest .net api or should i do any extra steps to get the CreatResult seamlessly in case of any errors returned by Rally service? Many thanks for your helps.

  • Using DirectX Effect11 with Visual Studio 2012

    - by l3utterfly
I recently updated to Visual Studio 2012 Ultimate. I was programming previously with DirectX 11 June 2010 SDK and want to continue to do so using Visual Studio 2012. However, I discovered that VS2012 comes with its own DirectX SDK (in Windows Kit 8.0) and I've been trying to migrate my code using the newer versions of d3d11. Everything went fine until I try to use effect files in my project (.fx files). I had to compile the Effects11 Sample in the DirectX SDK using VS2012 and link the lib file in my project. That went fine too. However, when I compile my project the function D3DX11CreateEffectFromMemory returns a E_NOINTERFACE error (no such interface is supported). Can anyone tell me why is that? Note that I'm using the d3d11.lib from the Windows Kit and the d3dx11.lib from the DirectX SDK. Perhaps I shouldn't mix them? However, everything else works fine when I mix them, except for the effect file creation. Any help would be appreciated. P.S. I don't know if this is helpful but just so you know, if I add an additional library directory in the project settings of "DirectXSDKInstallPath\lib\x86\" it works. Why is that? Does it mean I'm using the older version of the libraries? This will give a ton of warnings about redefined headers in winerror.h

  • Resource not found using library project in Android

    - by hgpc
I'm converting an existing project into a library project. I configured the original project as a library project and added an application project which references the original project as a library. The library project has an activity (MainActivity) and its layout (main.xml). The application project declares this activity as the main activity in the manifest like this: <activity android:name="com.example.MainActivity" android:label="@string/app_name"> <intent-filter> <action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN" /> <category android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" /> </intent-filter> </activity> When I run the application project I get the following error... android.content.res.Resources$NotFoundException: Resource ID #0x7f030002 ...on the following line of the onCreate method of the main activity: setContentView(R.layout.main); 0x7f030002 is the ID of R.layout.main in the library project. The application project has no main resource. If I run the original project I don't get this error. Both projects neither have compilation errors nor warnings and are built with Android 2.2 with min SDK version 3. What might be the problem?

  • Could not find schema information for the element 'castle'.

    - by Richard77
Hello! I'm creating a Custom tag in my web.config. I first wrote the following entry under the configSections section. <section name="castle" type="Castle.Windsor.Configuration.AppDomain.CastleSectionHandler, Castle.Windsor" /> But, when I try to create a castle node inside the configuration node as below <castle> <components> </components> </castle> I get the following error message:"*Could not find schema information for the element 'castle*'." "*Could not find schema information for the element 'components'***." Am I missing something? I can't find why. And, if I run the application anyway, I get the following error "Could not find section 'Castle' in the configuration file associated with this domain." Ps.// The sample comes from "Pro ASP.NET MVC Framework"/Steven Sanderson/APress ISBN-13 (pbk): 978-1-4302-1007-8" on page 99. Thank you for the help ============================================================ Since I believe to have done exactly what's said in the book and did not succed, I ask the same question in different terms. How do I add a new node using the above information? ============================================================================= Thank you. I did what you said and do not have the two warnings. However, I've go a big new warning: "The element 'configuration' in namespace 'MyWindsorSchema' has invalid child element 'configSections' in namespace 'MyWindsorSchema'. • C# Convert Excel Range to Dataset or Datatable, etc.

    - by htbrady
I have an Excel spreadsheet that will sit out on a network share drive. It needs to be accessed by my Winforms C# 3.0 application (many users could be using the app and hitting this spreadsheet at the same time). There is a lot of data on one worksheet. This data is broken out into areas that I have named as ranges. I need to be able to access these ranges individually, return each range as a dataset, and then bind it to a grid. I have found examples that use OLE and have got these to work. However, I have seen some warnings about using this method, plus at work we have been using Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel as the standard thus far. I don't really want to stray from this unless I have to. Our users will be using Office 2003 on up as far as I know. I can get the range I need with the following code: MyDataRange = (Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.Range)MyWorkSheet.get_Range("MyExcelRange", Type.Missing); The OLE way was nice as it would take my first row and turn those into columns. My ranges (12 total) are for the most part different from each other in number of columns. Didn't know if this info would affect any recommendations. Is there any way to use Interop and get the returned range back into a dataset? Thanks for your help.

  • Moving from ClearCase to Mercurial: your top tips?

    - by Robusto
We will soon start replacing ClearCase with Mercurial. I hear this is a good thing. The change model vs. the version model. Wave of the future. I'm prepared to believe this. Still, it kind of frightens me. Hey, it took Joel Spolsky a while to grok the difference and how to get maximum advantage out of Mercurial, so I'm betting I will run into conceptual traps and pitfalls. Does anyone have any real-world "how to grok Mercurial" tips? Anything specific suggestions that will help me bridge the conceptual gap. Any warnings about things not to do? I'd appreciate hearing them. I've already read the closest questions on SO related to this topic, as well as the Mercurial tour and a number of other blogs. I'm mainly interested in any gotchas or uh-ohs I may encounter. Any wisdom you can impart will be appreciated.

  • Image not showing in UIImageView in Interface Builder / iPhone

    - by dbonneville
I have a UIView with an UIImageView dragged onto the view. All of a sudden, for all my xibs, the image no longer shows up. There is a blue X. However, when it builds, the image is there. At one point, I deleted and regenerated all my images and moved some into a subfolder in XCode. Normally, when you go to select an image for an UIImageView, IB allows you to pick from any image in the project. But, I can't see any of the images I had put in the folder anymore in the dropdown. All I see in the dropdown on the Inspector is the one image I want, but that is also the one that is not showing up. And like I said, if I build it on the device or simulator, it all works. There is some cache or something screwed up somewhere. Everything builds with no errors. I cleared the caches and rebuilt. It all works. No error or warnings. But...I can't see any other images and IB still thinks it's missing the image that is clearly selected in the dropdown. So how do I get XCode and IB back on track and see what assets it properly should be seeing in the XIBs?

  • Undefined reference to 'glib'

I would like to parse a config file using glib in Codeblocks which I use. So I want to do exactly the example which is described here first. I have a file named myconfig.cfg and and a code programming.c. I just copy and paste the code to see if glib works but unfortunately it does not work. I did the installation of glib2.0 using sudo apt-get, I found where are the libs in glibs using pkg-config --cflags --libs glib-2.0 and in this path project->Build Options->Compiler Settings-> Other Options I added -I/usr/include/glib-2.0 -I/usr/lib/arm-linuxgnuebihf/glib-2.0/include When I build and run the programming.c I have these errors -------------- Build: Debug in programming --------------- gcc -Wall -g -I/usr/include/glib-2.0 -I/usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/glib-2.0/include -std=c99 -c /home/pi/Desktop/programming/main.c -o obj/Debug/main.o g++ -o bin/Debug/programming obj/Debug/main.o /usr/lib/libmysqlclient.so.16 obj/Debug/main.o: In function `main': /home/pi/Desktop/programming/main.c:22: undefined reference to `g_key_file_new' /home/pi/Desktop/programming/main.c:26: undefined reference to `g_key_file_load_from_file' /home/pi/Desktop/programming/main.c:28: undefined reference to `g_log' /home/pi/Desktop/programming/main.c:34: undefined reference to `g_slice_alloc' /home/pi/Desktop/programming/main.c:37: undefined reference to `g_key_file_get_string' /home/pi/Desktop/programming/main.c:39: undefined reference to `g_key_file_get_locale_string' /home/pi/Desktop/programming/main.c:41: undefined reference to `g_key_file_get_boolean_list' /home/pi/Desktop/programming/main.c:43: undefined reference to `g_key_file_get_integer_list' /home/pi/Desktop/programming/main.c:45: undefined reference to `g_key_file_get_string_list' /home/pi/Desktop/programming/main.c:47: undefined reference to `g_key_file_get_integer' /home/pi/Desktop/programming/main.c:49: undefined reference to `g_key_file_get_double_list' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status Process terminated with status 1 (0 minutes, 6 seconds) 11 errors, 0 warnings Am I missing something? • memory warning, generating UIImagefrom pdf files in objective-c

    - by favo
    When converting PDF Pages into UIImages I receive memory warnings all the time. It seems there is either some leak or something else that eats my memory. Using instruments didn't give me any helpful details. I'm using the following function to generate images from a pdf file: - (UIImage*)pdfImage:(NSString*)pdfFilename page:(int)page { CFURLRef pdfURL = CFURLCreateWithFileSystemPath(kCFAllocatorDefault, (CFStringRef)pdfFilename, kCFURLPOSIXPathStyle, false); CGPDFDocumentRef pdfRef = CGPDFDocumentCreateWithURL((CFURLRef)pdfURL); CFRelease(pdfURL); CGPDFPageRef pdfPage = CGPDFDocumentGetPage(pdfRef, page); CGRect pdfPageSize = CGPDFPageGetBoxRect(pdfPage, kCGPDFBleedBox); float pdfScale; if ( pdfPageSize.size.width < pdfPageSize.size.height ) { pdfScale = PDF_MIN_SIZE / pdfPageSize.size.width; } else { pdfScale = PDF_MIN_SIZE / pdfPageSize.size.height; } CGColorSpaceRef colorSpace = CGColorSpaceCreateDeviceRGB(); CGContextRef context = CGBitmapContextCreate(NULL, pdfPageSize.size.width*pdfScale, pdfPageSize.size.height*pdfScale, 8, (int)pdfPageSize.size.width*pdfScale * 4, colorSpace, kCGImageAlphaPremultipliedLast | kCGBitmapByteOrder32Big); CGColorSpaceRelease(colorSpace); // CGContextClipToRect(context, pdfPageView.frame); // CGPDFPageRetain(pdfPage); CGAffineTransform transform = aspectFit(CGPDFPageGetBoxRect(pdfPage, kCGPDFBleedBox), CGContextGetClipBoundingBox(context)); CGContextConcatCTM(context, transform); CGContextDrawPDFPage(context, pdfPage); // CGPDFPageRelease (pdfPage); CGImageRef image = CGBitmapContextCreateImage(context); CGContextRelease(context); UIImage *finalImage = [UIImage imageWithCGImage:image]; CGImageRelease(image); CGPDFDocumentRelease(pdfRef); return finalImage; } I am releasing the document and everything else, so where could be the problem?   • C++ compiler errors in xamltypeinfo.g.cpp

    - by Richard Banks
I must be missing something obvious but I'm not sure what. I've created a blank C++ metro app and I've just added a model that I will bind to in my UI however I'm getting a range of compiler warnings related to xamltypeinfo.g.cpp and I'm not sure what I've missed. My header file looks like this: #pragma once #include "pch.h" #include "MyColor.h" using namespace Platform; namespace CppDataBinding { [Windows::UI::Xaml::Data::Bindable] public ref class MyColor sealed : Windows::UI::Xaml::Data::INotifyPropertyChanged { public: MyColor(); ~MyColor(); virtual event Windows::UI::Xaml::Data::PropertyChangedEventHandler^ PropertyChanged; property Platform::String^ RedValue { Platform::String^ get() { return _redValue; } void set(Platform::String^ value) { _redValue = value; RaisePropertyChanged("RedValue"); } } protected: void RaisePropertyChanged(Platform::String^ name); private: Platform::String^ _redValue; }; } and my cpp file looks like this: #include "pch.h" #include "MyColor.h" using namespace CppDataBinding; MyColor::MyColor() { } MyColor::~MyColor() { } void MyColor::RaisePropertyChanged(Platform::String^ name) { if (PropertyChanged != nullptr) { PropertyChanged(this, ref new Windows::UI::Xaml::Data::PropertyChangedEventArgs(name)); } } Nothing too tricky, but when I compile I get errors in xamltypeinfo.g.cpp indicating that MyColor is not defined in CppDataBinding. The relevant generated code looks like this: if (typeName == "CppDataBinding.MyColor") { userType = ref new XamlUserType(this, typeName, GetXamlTypeByName("Object")); userType->Activator = ref new XamlTypeInfo::InfoProvider::Activator( []() -> Platform::Object^ { return ref new CppDataBinding::MyColor(); }); userType->AddMemberName("RedValue", "CppDataBinding.MyColor.RedValue"); userType->SetIsBindable(); xamlType = userType; } If I remove the Bindable attribute from MyColor the code compiles. Can someone tell me what blindingly obvious thing I've missed so I can give myself a facepalm and fix the problem?

  • Can't get NSTableView to display data.

    - by Alberto
Hi! I see there are a lot of questions about this, but nothing helped me to get this work. I have a nib with a NSTableView with three columns (with the right identifiers set) and a class named ShortcutsTableController. In the nib I have a NSObject with class value ShortcutsTableController. I also connected the NSTableView to my controller as I usually do. This is header ShortcutsTableController.h. #import <Cocoa/Cocoa.h> @interface ShortcutsTableController : NSObject <NSTableViewDataSource> { IBOutlet NSTableView *shortcutsTable; NSMutableArray *shortcutsList; } - (int) numberOfRowsInTableView: (NSTableView*) tableView; - (id)tableView:(NSTableView *)tableView objectValueForTableColumn:(NSTableColumn *)tableColumn row:(int)row; @property (assign) IBOutlet NSTableView *shortcutsTable; - (void)setUpTable; @end And this is the implementation file ShortcutsTableController.m. #import "ShortcutsTableController.h" @implementation ShortcutsTableController @synthesize shortcutsTable; - (void)setUpTable { shortcutsList = [[NSMutableArray alloc] init]; NSDictionary *dict1 = [NSDictionary dictionaryWithObjectsAndKeys: @"blabla", @"nameColumn", @"Bla bla bla", @"shortcutColumn", @"Ribla", @"actionColumn", nil]; [shortcutsList addObject:dict1]; [shortcutsTable setDataSource:self]; [shortcutsTable reloadData]; } -(int) numberOfRowsInTableView: (NSTableView *) tableView { return [shortcutsList count]; } - (id)tableView:(NSTableView *)tableView objectValueForTableColumn:(NSTableColumn *)tableColumn row:(int)row { if (row != -1) return [[shortcutsList objectAtIndex:row] objectForKey:[tableColumn identifier]]; return nil; } @end But when i try to build nothing appears in the NSTableView. No errors, no warnings. Note that I call setUpTable from within the Delegate Class Method awakeFromNib. Is there something I am doing wrong? Thank you for you help. —Albé UPDATE. Added lines @property (assign) IBOutlet NSTableView *shortcutsTable; in header and @synthesize shortcutsTable; in implementation. Nothing changes. :(

  • WCF Mono - BasicHttpBinding with SSL

    - by TheNextman
I'm trying to port an existing WCF client application to run on Linux under Mono. Right now I'm testing everything out, figuring out what works on Mono and what doesn't. The client makes a super simple call over basicHttpBinding. It works great, until I enable SSL (that is, specify BasicHttpSecurityMode.Transport in the binding). Running on .NET in Windows, it works great Running on Mono on Ubuntu 9.10 / Mono 2.6 I get the following error: Exception in async operation: System.Net.WebException: Error getting response stream (Write: The authentication or decryption has failed.): SendFailure --- System.IO.IOException: The authentication or decryption has failed. --- Mono.Security.Protocol.Tls.TlsException: Invalid certificate received from server. Error code: 0xffffffff800b010a I've read the Mono security FAQ here: http://www.mono-project.com/FAQ:_Security; however the SSL certificate on the server is from a root CA (a purchased certificate) - issued by Equifax Secure Certificate Authority. I ran the TlsTest tool on the Ubuntu install against the .svc URL and there are no problems/errors. Also I can hit the service fine in Firefox (no security warnings). What am I missing? Thanks in advance, Richard
