  • How to html encode the output of an NHaml view (or any MVC view)?

    I have several views written in NHaml that I would like to render as encoded html. Here's one. %table.data %thead %tr %th Country Name %th ISO 2 %th ISO 3 %th ISO # %tbody - foreach(var c in ViewData.Model.Countries) %tr %td =c.Name %td =c.Alpha2 %td =c.Alpha3 %td =c.Number I know that NHaml provides syntax to Html encode the output for given lines using &=. However, in order to encode the entire view, I would essentially lose the benefit of writing my view in NHaml since it would have to look like this.... &= "<table class='data'> &= " <thead> So I was wondering if there was any cool way to be able to capture the rendered view as a string, then to html encode that string. Maybe something like the following??? public ContentResult HtmlTable(string format) { var m = new CountryViewModel(); m.Countries = _countryService.GetAll(); // Somehow render the view and store it as a string? // Not sure how to achieve this. var viewHtml = View("HtmlTable", m); // ??? return Content(viewHtml); } This question may actually have no particular relevance to the View engine that I am using I guess.   • Page cache - initiate the first page request in the server

    Hi, I'm implementing Outputcache in my application and it works fine, but the first time always take a lot to load and the next following request will be faster... I would like to know if there is a way to initiate the page caching on the server side and serve the cached page upon the very first request, rather than have it triggered by the user one first time.   • Getting the first result from a LINQ query - why does ElementAt<T>(0) fails when First<T>() succeeds

    I have a method AddStudent() which looks for a student with the same name and returns an existing student from the database if there is a student with the same name, otherwise it creates a new student and adds it to the database. I'm curious why se = students.First<StudentEntity>(); succeeds when se = students.ElementAt<StudentEntity>(0); fails when I try to get the first result from the LINQ query. Aren't the two methods the same?   • Access a view inside a tab navigator when a tab is clicked

    Hi, I I have a view in Flex 3 where I use a tab navigator and a number of views inside the tab navigator. I need to be know which view was clicked because of it's one specific view then I need to take action, i.e. if view with id "secondTab" is clicked then do something. I have set it up to be notified, my problem is that I need to be able to know what view it is.   • Why can't my master page be loaded

    I've largely ignored this error, but i can do so no more. I'm trying to view a page that inherits from a master page in my solution, but I see this: "The Master Page file 'Site.master' cannot be loaded." The page exists, I can browse to it, view it in design view and do stuff. When the site is loaded in the browser, it works fine. Any ideas?

  • Last in First out UDP structure in MatLab.

    I am using MatLabs UDP function in their instrument control toolbox to send data packets from one computer to another. The first computer is constantly updating data values and sending them to the other computer, and I want that computer to be able to query the first one for the most recent values whenever it needs them. However, the default implementation of the UDP send and receive in MatLab is a FIFO structure- the first packet I send is the first the other computer receives when they execute the "fscanf" function. I want the last packet I sent to be the one the fscanf function returns. Is this possible or do I need to use a different protocol?

  • Remove first element from $@ in bash

    I'm writing a bash script that needs to loop over the arguments passed into the script. However, the first argument shouldn't be looped over, and instead needs to be checked before the loop. If I didn't have to remove that first element I could just do: for item in "$@" ; do #process item done I could modify the loop to check if it's in its first iteration and change the behavior, but that seems way too hackish. There's got to be a simple way to extract the first argument out and then loop over the rest, but I wasn't able to find it.
