  • Using mercurial and beyond compare 3(bc3) as the diff tool? help needed

    Hi, in windows I am able to use winmerge as the external diff tool for hg using mercurial.ini,etc. Using some options switch that you can find in web(I think it's a japanese website) Anyway, here for example: hg winmerge -r1 -r2 will list file(s) change(s) between rev1 and rev2 in winmerge. I can just click which file to diff but for bc3: hg bcomp -r1 -r2 will make bc3 open a dialog which stated that a temp dir can't be found. The most I can do using bc3 and hg is hg bcomp -r1 -r2 myfile.cpp which will open diff between rev1 and rev2 of myfile.cpp So,it seems that hg+bc3 can't successfully acknowledge of all files change between revision. Only able to diff 1 file at a time. Anyone can use bc3 + hg better ? edit: Problem Solved ! Got the solution from scooter support page.     Hi I have the following markup .NET 1.1 app. I want the grid lines of the table to be darkgray this is the goal here. <asp:table id="tbl" Runat="server" CellSpacing="0" BorderColor="darkgray" GridLines="Both"></asp:table> I have the app in IIS set as ver 1.1 in my dev box and 2.0 in production for various reasons.     Hello, Really getting in to javascript and looking around at some patterns. One I have come accross is the module pattern. Its seems like a nice way to think of chucks of functionality so I went ahead and tried to implement it with jQuery. I ran in to a snag though. These both use jQuery methods. The problem is that the .html() method works fine however i can not add the class. No errors result and the class does not get added. What is happening here? Why is the class not getting added to the div?

What I am curious about the impact of programming ability. I know you usually write a masters thesis on some topic, which I imagine forces you to specialize. Do your programming skills actually get rusty while getting a masters, or is there some benefit? Would it be more beneficial to work for the two years instead?

  • Help: My SSL Certificate expired but I can't renew it until Monday, is there any way I can disable SSL through IIS?

    Or perhaps force redirect to HTTP when they request HTTPS? I tried removing the SSL port settings under 'Advanced' but it broke the login page. I don't want to do a deploy/recompile right now but I am able to edit the VIEWS. However I am thinking there may be a way for IIS to do this, but then again I think the .NET code tries to force SSL. And yes, the key is that more support tickets will be caused by the browser giving a security error than if SSL was removed entirely for one day. Becaues they wouldn't very very likely not notice it being gone.

    I've got this code in my viewController.m file - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; GameLogic *_game = [[GameLogic alloc] init]; [_game initGame]; ....... } GameLogic is another class which I created. in the same viewController.m file, I have got another function - (void)test { if([_game returnElecFence]) { NSLog(@"YES"); } else { NSLog(@"NO"); } } Problem is, whenever the test function is called, I get an error saying '_game' undeclared. I tried putting the GameLogic init code in the .h file and on top of the @implementation to make it global but every method I tried resulted in a worse error. TIA to anyone who can suggest some ideas to clear this error up

    I need to extract a HTML-Substring with JS which is position dependent. I store special characters HTML-encoded. For example: HTML <div id="test"><p>l&ouml;sen &amp; gr&uuml;&szlig;en</p></div>? Text lösen & grüßen My problem lies in the JS-part, for example when I try to extract the fragment lö, which has the HTML-dependent starting position of 3 and the end position of 9 inside the <div> block. JS seems to convert some special characters internally so that the count from 3 to 9 is wrongly interpreted as "lösen " and not "l&ouml;". Other special characters like the &amp; are not affected by this. So my question is, if someone knows why JS is behaving in that way? Characters like &auml; or &ouml; are being converted while characters like &amp; or &nbsp; are plain. Is there any possibility to avoid this conversion? I've set up a fiddle to demonstrate this: JSFiddle Thanks for any help! EDIT: Maybe I've explained it a bit confusing, sorry for that. What I want is the HTML: <p>l&ouml;sen &amp; gr&uuml;&szlig;en</p> . Every special character should be unconverted, except the HTML-Tags. Like in the HTML above. But JS converts the &ouml; or &uuml; into ö or ü automatically, what I need to avoid.

    Are there any libraries or frameworks that provide the functionality of a browser, but do not need to actually render physically onto the screen? I want to automate navigation on web pages (Mechanize does this, for example), but I want the full browser experience, including Javascript. Thus, I'd like to have a virtual browser of some sort, that I can use to "click on links" programmatically, have DOM elements and JS scripts render within it, and manipulate these elements. Solution preferably in Python, but I can manage others.

    hello all i am facing problem in drawing dynamically in a picture box. i works very good when the drawing objects are few but as the drawing objects increases the response time of my GUI is getting worse and worse, my GUI works very well up to 90 drawing objects but i have to support more than 1000 so this technique didn't work for me. know i have decided to adopt layers mechanism, i mean i will draw different layers of drawing in memory and then XOR them to load the final image to my display. the question is "i Can play directly with memory do draw layers using C# (Examples needed?)" other ideas are also appreciated, (Drawing objects means the shapes line,circles etc. that i have to draw on my GUI) thanx in advance

    I'm using MapKit in an iPad app with the Base SDK set to iOS 4.2 in Xcode 3.2.5. When I run the app in the iPad Simulator 4.2, the app works fine. When I run it in the iPad Simulator 3.2, it crashes on startup with the following error: ERROR: unable to load AX Bundle: /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneSimulator3.2.sdk/System/Library/AccessibilityBundles/MapKitFramework.axbundle What am I doing wrong?

    Hi folks, yep - another noob regex query, which I can't seem to get. I'm trying to get all matches for the string foo.mydomain.com/ or foo.mydomain.com:1234/ or foo.mydomain.com:<random port>/ but any other paths do not match, ie. foo.mydomain.com/bar or foo.mydomain.com/bar/pewpew I tried to use: foo.mydomain.com(.*)/$ ( starts with anything, then foo.mydomain.com, then any thing after that .. until a slash. then end. (this search query is anchored to the end of the line). but that doesn't work. It doesn't match when i pass in foo.mydomain.com:1234 but it correct says foo.mydomain.com/bar/pewpew is not a match (as expected). any ideas?
