    Program works fine when run with eclipse run configurations, but when run with ant, it is unable to parse int from args[0], which I do not understand.     I'm trying to write a code for my computer programming class for a project due Monday, and I'm pretty new to Java, but I'm trying to write a program that will first determine if a number the user inputs is even or odd and then determine if the number is prime or not. I'm not sure if I did the algorithm right or not, so if anyone has any corrections on the program to my algorithm or anything else please say so, but my real issue is that the program is refusing to compile.     Ever since i started learning java i wanted to create a way to automate a few actions on a couple websites, For example, topline is a website that replaces all your ads with its own ads and pays you a bit of money for it, i want to emulate the act of just surfing the web, then start emulating specific tasks like clicking certain buttons or playing flash games (Actually playing the game by using image recognition) and this has to be written in java as i want to run this on a raspberry pi. any help is appreciated, is there a class that i can use? any help is appreciated!

  • System crashes/lockups + compiz/cairo/gnome-panel crashing due to cached ram, please help?

    Can someone help me to troubleshoot system crashes and lockups which result in compiz/cairo dock and gnome-panel crashing? I also get no window borders after the crash and a lot of kernel memory errors. Logs are telling me that apps were killed due to not enough memory, but the system is caching like 14GB of my ram so I'm a bit stuck on what/how to stop it. I'm running Ubuntu 12.10 on a 2011 Mac Mini with 16 GB ram. Here's some of the logs that look like they could be causing trouble. I woke up this morning to find chrome/skype/cairo dock and a few others had been killed and here is what the log said. I have a Radeon HD 6600M graphics card using the open source driver, not the proprietary one. I was wondering if perhaps using the proprietary one would solve the problem. Also, while writing this in Chrome rhythmbox and chrome just got killed while typing this, due to out of memory errors or so it reports, though I have 7 GB of free RAM at the time with 7 GB cached as well.     I am having the below code. public VizCanvas(){ { this.setBackground(Color.black); this.setSize(400,400); } } It worked fine and displays the panel in black background. But when I implement the paint method, which does nothing, the color changes to default color i.e gray. I tried to set graphics.setColor() but it didn't help. Thank you.

    Hello Everyone, I have started working on a software synthesizer (or keyboard). I have decided to use Java because of the available Jfugue API. I am trying to figure out how to go about creating the actual keys (notes) of the keyboard user interface, but I am stuck. I have tried to create an interface by dragging/dropping black and white rectangular buttons onto the panel, but that doesn't seem to work. Could someone point me into the right direction?

For that I am passing my form id on rerender attribute of the button. the funtionalty is working fine but the problem is the whole form get resized and all component come close to each other. the same page i refresh the same page, then it look's fine, or if i redirect the same page again from my bean it stays fine. but i should not follow this appoach.

    I used myPanel.setLayout(new BoxLayout(myPanel, BoxLayout.Y_AXIS)); to order panels vertically (one under another one). But myPanel defined in the shown way change the included panel. In more details, it tries to set the same hight and width for the included panels. Can it be changed? Can BoxLayout adopt size of the included elements?

  • JComobox is not showing in the JDialog

    I have 2 classes. when I put bold 3 lines in the method addCourses() the dialog does not show combobox in the Panel but when I remove from addCourses and put those bold lines in the constructor, JComboBox are shown in the Panel. But data will not show because data items updates to ComboBox will happen after Constructor is created.
