    I have a UITableView with 3 sections that are hard coded. Everything is working fine, but I am not sure if I am doing it correctly. The resultant code happily dealt with churning out 2000+ threads. Can anyone explain this behavior?

  • How could I eliminate the meter names with an 'x' after them?

    Hi I imported some Excel data into MatLab - it is a list of about 200 meter names with about 28 rows each, but the problem is that for each there is a duplicate for the other direction - with the same meter name with an 'x' after it. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can eliminate these ones with an 'x' after wards?   • When to define SDD(System Sequence Diagram) operations System->Actor?

    I am having some trouble understanding how to make System Sequence Diagrams, as I don't fully grasp why in some cases one should define operations for System - Actor and in others don't. Here is an example: Let's assume the System is a Cinema Ticket Store and the Actor is a client that wants to buy a ticket. 1) The User tells the System that wants to buy some tickets, stating his client number. 2) The System confirms that the given client number is valid. 3) The User tells the System the movie that wants to see. 4) The System shows the set of available sessions and seats for that movie. 5) The System asks the user which session/seat he wants. 6) The User tells the System the chosen session/seat. This would be converted to: a) -----> tellClientNumber(clientNumber) b) <----- validClientNumber c) -----> tellMovieToSee(movie) d) <----- showsAvailableSeatsHours e) -----> tellSystemChosenSessionSeat(session, seat) I know that when we are dealing with SDD's we are still far away from coding. But I can't help trying to imagine how it how it would have been had I to convert it right away to code: I can understand 1) and 2). It's like if it was a C#/Java method with the following signature: boolean tellClientNumber(clientNumber) so I put both on the SDD. Then, we have the pair 3) 4). I can imagine that as something as: SomeDataStructureThatHoldsAvailableSessionsSeats tellSystemMovieToSee(movie) Now, the problem: From what I've come to understand, my lecturer says that we shouldn't make an operation on the SDD for 5) as we should only show operations from the Actor to the System and when the System is either presenting us data (as in c)) or validating sent data (such as in b)). I find this odd, as if I try to imagine this like a DOS app where you have to put your input sequencially, it makes sense to make an arrow even for 5). Why is this wrong? How should I try to visualize this? Thanks

    Hi! I'm havin issues with python (imo python itself is an issue). I have a txt file, it contains a custom language and I have to translate it to a working python code. The out file is out.py. In case of a wrong parameter, it gives an error message. The ;; means a new line. When I tried to do it, I made an array, I read all the lines into it, split by " ". Then I wanted to strip it from the marks I don't need. I made 2 loops, one for the lines, one for the words. So then I started to replace the things. Everything went fine until it came to the } mark. It finds it, but it can not replace or strip it. I have no more idea what to do. Could someone help me, please? Thanks in advance!

  • Execute SSH commands on Cisco router. Codeigniter SSH library

    I have a little problem. I'm using Codeigniter with SSH library written by Shuky (https://bitbucket.org/quicktips/codeigniter-ssh2-library/src/a444968345ba/SSH.php -- You can see the code by following this link). Everything related with SSH works fine with other devices, but when I try to use this library and execute commands on Cisco devices, nothing happens (commands are not executed). I know that the connection is successful, but I can't execute any commands.   • Have ASP page call save function anytime the user tries to navigate away from page

    What I have is an input page with a bunch of dynamically created textboxes for the user to input data. The textboxes are dynamically created because the number that are needed are not known until the user selects some options on the page. So what I need to have happen is if the user tries to either A) navigate away from the page or B) select different options bringing up new textboxes. Anything the user may have typed into the textboxes needs to automatically be saved to the database. Like they clicked on the save button on the page. This doesn't sound like a vary smart way to do things or even an easy way to do things but this is the requirement I have been given. No message just save to the database. I have looked into things like onbeforepageunload javascript but that mostly tries to stop the user from navigating away I can't call any code behind code from it. Any help is appreciated. Note : The number of the texboxes with data can be any where between 20 and 500. Yes very crazy but not my idea.

  • Why does this javascript code have an infinite loop?

    optionElements is a 2d array. Each element has an array of length 2. These are an integer number and an element. I have a select list called linkbox, and i want to add all of the elements to the select list. The order I want them to go in is important, and is determined by the number each element has. It should be smallest to highest. So think of it like this: optionElements is: [ [5, <option>], [3, <option], [4, <option], [1, <option], [2, <option]] and it would add them to link box in order of those numbers. BUT that is not what happens. It is an infinite loop after the first time.     I have an associative array with the ids of x cakes and another associative array with the ids of y people. I want to ensure that each cake is enjoyed by exactly 2 people and that each person gets a fair share of cake overall. However, cakes must be kept whole (i.e. if the average cake per person is a fraction, this fraction will be rounded up for some, and down for others). No person can be assigned the same cake twice. For example: $cake = array('id'=>'1','id'=>'2') $people = array('id'=>'1','id'=>'2','id'=>'3') In order to do so, I wish to create a new array where each row represents a cake-person assignment. As each cake is being assigned to two people, the number of rows in this table should be exactly twice the number of cakes. There will not be exactly 1 solution to this problem but a solution to the above example would be: $cake_person = array( '1'=>array('cake_id'=>'1', 'person_id'=>'1'), '2'=>array('cake_id'=>'1', 'person_id'=>'2'), '3'=>array('cake_id'=>'2', 'person_id'=>'2'), '4'=>array('cake_id'=>'2', 'person_id'=>'3'), ) Notice that people 1 and 3 are losing out but that is because there is no more cake to go around! Each cake must be given exactly twice. How can I generate such a solution reliably for larger numbers of people and cakes?

    Hi, i'm making a questionnaire about a service quality, its contains the options (poor, regular, good, very good). It's contains 6 questions (radio button) and a suggestion box (textbox). In the table of the database i created 6 rows for questions, 1 for suggestion and 1 for date (a friend of mine tole me to use this but i didn't get why). q1) I'm going to atribute a value form 1 to 4 to the radio buttons options, and i'd like to sum every answer for each question, and then divide by the numbers of user that answered that question and give the mean. how am i supposed to to that? I'd also like generate reports of the month, of the year. q2) not only about the questionnaire but for registration too. I need all the fields to be completed, no blank options, if he don't complete all of fields it'll not be submitted and there will be a warning message to the user. q3) about the field type, i'd like it to be the same class that is in the database, i'm having a "problem". Ex: Name(varchar) : 1234(int), in the field 'name' of the table of the database 1234 will be shown as name, and i don't want this, i want only the type that i declared in the construction of the table. q4) i'd also like to know if it's possible to create pizza graphics, about the percentage of each question, is this possible? q5) I'm using phpmyadmin and some of my id's are auto_increment, but 'cause of my tests they at a high number, i'd like to restart to 0 the ids number, is this possible?     I have a timesheet spreadsheet for our company and I need to sort the employees by each timesheet block (15 rows by 20 columns). I have the following code which I had help with, but the array quits sorting once it comes to a block without an employee name (I would like these to be shuffled to the bottom). Another complication I am having is there are numerous formulas in these cells and when I run it as is, it removes them. I would like to keep these intact if at all possible.
