  • overflow-y hides page contents in a webkit browsers (Chrome and Safari)

    Hi, I am currently making our website to be supported by all major browsers and I've met a very strange problem - oveflow-y attribute caused my data to be hidden. Below I've got an oversimplified code sample that works in IE and Firfox, but which doesn't work in Safari and Chrome.     I need to use inheritance with EF4 and the TPH model created from DB. I created a new projet to test simples classes. There is my class model: There is my table in SQL SERVER 2008 : VEHICLE ID : int PK Owner : varchar(50) Consumption : float FirstCirculationDate : date Type : varchar(50) Discriminator : varchar(10) I added a condition in my EDMX on the Discriminator field to differentiate the Scooter, Car, Motorbike and Bike entities. MotorizedVehicle and Vehicle are Abstract. But when I compile, this error appears : Error 3032: Problem in mapping fragments starting at lines 78, 85:EntityTypes EF4InheritanceModel.Scooter, EF4InheritanceModel.Motorbike, EF4InheritanceModel.Car, EF4InheritanceModel.Bike are being mapped to the same rows in table Vehicle. Mapping conditions can be used to distinguish the rows that these types are mapped to. Edit : To Ladislav : I try it and error change to become it for all of my entities : Error 3034: Problem in mapping fragments starting at lines 72, 86:An entity is mapped to different rows within the same table.   • NSKeyedArchiver save method ( that i made) crashed the iphone simulator

    i saw this approach on a tutorial, and the message is working for their example but when i implement this it does not work. from what i can tell the iphone simulator crashes when i do a [ self saveSettingsData]. TheSettings is class object that i declare and initialize in the appdelagate with these methods. the error says terminating due to uncaught exception. i am new to the iphone sdk and objective, so i really can't figure out what is going on thanks to any one who can help, i am ready to literally pull my hair out.   • PyQt4 Move QTableWidget row with widgets

    I have the following method in my PyQt4 app. r2 is the number of row to move, and r1 is the position where it should be moved. To clarify: the table is filled with cellWidgets, not widgetItems. def move_row(self, r1, r2): tt = self.tableWidget tt.insertRow(r1) for c in range(tt.columnCount()): tt.setCellWidget(r1, c, tt.cellWidget(r2 + 1, c)) tt.removeRow(r2 + 1) # <--- ??? If I comment out the last line, it behaves as expected: the new row is inserted at position r1, it is filled with widgets from r2 (now it's r2+1), and the r2+1 row is empty. If I even hide this row, it behaves well, though it is not what I want (I have the rows numbered, and I don't want this hidden row to occupy the number). But if I remove the row, the widgets initially owned by it disappear. Looks like their ownership is taken on first placement, and is not changed after the move. Any ideas?

  • iPhone scrollView won't scroll after keyboard is closed

    I was trying to implement a way to have the UITextField move up when the keyboard opened so that the user could see what they were typing but after implementing the code - it locks my scroll. The view will scroll when the user first gets to that view but after inputting text and closing the keyboard it locks the view.   • Unable to reverse seemingly simple rails migration - getting "altered_table.column may not be NULL"

    I have a table 'invoices' in my development database (sqlite3) populated with a small amount of test data. I wanted to add a column 'invoice_number' to it and set up a migration like so: class AddInvoiceNumberColumnToInvoices < ActiveRecord::Migration def self.up add_column :invoices, :invoice_number, :integer end def self.down remove_column :invoices, :invoice_number end end I ran rake db:migrate and it seemed to migrate just fine. However, when I tried to access this column through ActiveRecord it didn't seem to be there. I decided to undo this migration and try again (not sure what I was going to try but I thought I'd start by undoing it) with rake db:migrate VERSION='whatever_the_migration_before_this_one_was_called'. This failed with the error message == AddInvoiceNumberColumnToInvoices: reverting =============================== -- remove_column(:invoices, :invoice_number) rake aborted! An error has occurred, this and all later migrations canceled: altered_invoices.invoice_number may not be NULL I can't find any documentation of this error. Is anyone able to explain what I have done wrong, and more importantly how I can fix this?

    Hi I load my self-made webuser controls dynamically. A user chooses a template and depending on that template I load some self-made webuser controls (.ascx) that are defined in a sql server database. When the user fills in the TextBoxes and clicks on the submit button, the entries in the TextBoxes should be saved in my database. The problem is that when clicking the submit button, the TextBox entries are erased. I searched a lot to fix this problem, for example I tried to load every control again every postback by putting the code in the Page_Init event but unfortunately it won't work.

  • Forms Auth: have different credentials for a subdirectory?

    My website has forms authentication, and all is well. Now I want to create a subdirectory and have it also password-protected, but! I need the subdirectory to use a completely different set of logins/passwords than the whole website uses. Say, for example, I have users for the website stored in the "Users" table in a database. But for the subdirectory, I want the users to be taken from the "SubdirUsers" table. Which probably has a completely different structure. Consequently, I need the logins to be completely parallel, as in: Logging into the whole website does not make you logged into the subdirectory as well Clicking "logout" on the whole website does not nullify your login in the subdirectory And vice versa I do not want to create a separate virtual application for the subdirectory, because I want to share all libraries, user controls, as well as application state and cache. In other words, it has to be the same application. I also do not want to just add a flag to the "Users" table indicating whether this is a whole website user or the subdirectory user. User lists have to come from different sources. For now, the only option that I see is to roll my own Forms Auth for the subdirectory. Anybody can propose a better alternative?

We have difficulties in comparing two float numbers. Example class MyClass { public object Value { get; set;} public MyClass() { Value = (float) 12.345; } } In IronPython When I compare the MyClass Instance's Value property with python float value(12.345), it says it doesn't equal This statement raises assert error self.assertEqual(myClassInstance.Value, 12.345) This statement works fine. self.assertEqual(float(myClassInstance.Value.ToString()), 12.345) When I check the type of the type(myClassInstance.Value), it returns Single in Python where as type(12.345) returns float. How to handle the C# float to Python comparison without explicit conversions?

I could test a couple classes successfully.   • iPhone: UITableView Becomes Invisible after Changing the Data it Displays

    Hi I have application with a TabBar that controls several views. In one view, I control connections to different servers. Each server provides a different set of items. I display these items in UITableView on another view. The problem is that the tableview displays OK the first time but if I go back to view number one and change the server, thereby changing the list of items that should be displayed in tableview, the tableview becomes invisible for some reason. If I tap on the screen in the place where it should be, it becomes visible again. I create table view like this UITableView * aTableView = [[UITableView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(X,Y,Width,Height) style:UITableViewStyleGrouped]; [[self view] addSubview:aTableView]; aTableView.dataSource = self; Ive tried to call reloadData and setNeedsDisplay in viewWillAppear of the UIViewController that hosts this tableview but without success.   • Convert float to decimal in Informix

    I have a table with a column of type decimal. There is a ESQL/C structure that represents the table. It has a member of type decimal. I also have a normal C structure for equivalent for the same table. The type of the above mentioned field is a float. Since we use memcpy to copy data to and from ESQL/C structure to C structure, there is an issue with decimal to float conversion. When I searched the Informix ESQL/C Programmer's manual, I couldn't find any function that can do this. Google search led me to the deccvflt() function. This function converts from a float to a decimal type. Though I couldn't find this function listed in the manual, I see the declarations in decimal.h. Are these functions still recommended to be used? Alternatively, I was also thinking about using the decimal type in the C structure also, as it happens to be a C structure. May in the future we migrate our lesser system to PGSQL, and this used now "Table" components (as BDE, but it have an SQL-like server). These tables use real cursors, a "Window" with N record, so lookup is very fast, because the Locate/Lookup is started on server, and only these N records are refreshed, no matter, how many records in the lookup table. PGSQL uses fetch technics as I know, and I tested it with a table (id int, name varchar(100)), and 1 million records. (I also trying this with mysql). The adapter is Zeos. ID, sec to find, allocated memory in bytes on client. (As I know ADO can use server side cursors)? c.) Have anybody some experience with lookup tables, and performance? Is this critical question or it is not? (With client memory usage too). d.) The problem is that the renderer does not contain data, neither does the widget. And I'd really hate to mess with Field and BoundField. I need this to inject html before/after each radiobutton and I'd like it to be done in the template. From the code it would be easy. Any ideas are welcome.

How can I hide the column permanently?
