  • Onclick starts gif animation and .mp3, how to sync across browsers

    So I am using a text-based jplayer (http://jplayer.org/latest/demo-04/) that I want to sync with a gif animation. Onclick the text link does two things -1. feed the jplayer an mp3 and 2. trigger an animation (via SwapImage). It is important for these two to start at the same time. Right now, this works perfectly in chrome/firefox but in IE and mobile browsers the audio lags considerably. I have tried with the audio preloaded (it is a small 40K mp3) and it makes no difference. I dont think its a bandwidth problem because the problem is the same on repeat clicks. Any pointers on how I can resolve this...

    Does any US wireless carrier offer individuals or companies with a direct connection to the SMSC? The number is 747-772-3101 (repalce 7's with 6's) This number is registered to t-mobile, also verified by t-mobile to be a valid subscriber sending 160,000+ text messages monthly and that all they have is an unlimited text messaging plan on top of the cheapest voice plan. This company of the number verified to me that they don't use gsm modems as they are too slow. So I know it's possible but who would I contact, Sales or anyone else reachable through a 1-800 is ignorant to these services and developer.t-mobile is worthless and doesn't reply to emails. Any info??

  • Auto-complete/suggestion popup menu in GtkTextView

    I'm trying to create a system that will allow me to respond to the current text and auto-complete/suggest what should come next. For example if the user starts to type "Batm" then the system would respond with a menu showing the full completed word "Batman". Think of an IDE like Eclipse or Visual Studio and you get the idea. I understand how to create a popup menu in Gtk+ but what I don't understand is the following: How do I grab the word that the user is currently typing from a GtkTextView (or SourceView) so that I can do a lookup and offer suggestions? How do I position the menu in such a way that it sits next to the current text item (like it would in an IDE)? If anyone could offer suggestions or even a link to a tutorial or example on how to do this correctly I would be forever grateful. As always thanks for you help! Programming language: C

I've added icons to all buttons (which actually links with class 'btn' from twitter-bootstrap) in my applications, but can't add icons on 'input type submit'.     Hi all, I've built a web site using jquery to make nice transitions between content. The code works this way: there are 2 imgs (body and footer) when I click on a link (instead of going to another page) I fade out the 2 imgs and change the src attribute of the 2. When the new imgs are loaded I fade them back in. I'm using SWFaddress to allow user go directly to internal content. Now I'd like to make my content indexed by google and other Search engines, all the text content is inside the imgs, So I've got the text in ALT attribute. My question is: if a dinamically change the imgs ALT attribute using JS, will spiders be able to read it properly? consider that I'm using SWFaddress to create a sitemap.. Thanks

(The host creates an instance, and passes that to the WebServiceHost) Hosting app:WebServiceHost host = null; SomeService serviceInstance = new SomeService("text", "more text"); host = new WebServiceHost(serviceInstance, baseUri); Problem: When I go to use the variables initialised when the service is created (ie, when a call is made to the service), they are either null or empty... Am I wrong in assuming that as the instance being initialised in the hosting application is used for each request to the WebServiceHost? Any pointers here would be great.

  • Cannot see response body in ie8 when response http status code is set to some error code(422)

    I am making a requset to a web service that sends custom error with proper HTTP header when I notice some validation error, this works fine in chrome and mozilla as things always do and then it broke in ie8 as it always does! After checking the network activity, I see that ie8 is not able to get response body when HTTP code is other that 200(or at-least it seems so). In groovy I am returning error like : render(status: 422, contentType: 'TEXT', text: ((errors as JSON) as String)) Is there a way I could somehow get ie8 to read in the response body, or as an alternative I might be able to set response header but before trying that I was wondering if you guys have already seen this issue and know a solution to it.   • Advantage Data Architect doesn't accept 'output to', are there any other options for outputting a ta

    I'm trying to output the results of a SELECT query to a tab delimited text file in Advantage Data Architect. I know I can use the 'Export to' feature to do this, but there are a lot of tables and that is going to take forever. I would rather use the SQL editor, but I found out it does not accept the OUTPUT TO argument, even though that command is part of Sybase SQL. I would like to do this: SELECT * FROM tablename; OUTPUT TO 'C:/ExportDirectory' DELIMITED BY '\t' FORMAT TEXT; Is there another way?

  • List replies in a winform

    In my C# app I get an xml from a server that contains some replies like in a forum thread (with elements like author, time, body, title, whatever). When I get this xml, I create a new form in which i want to display these replies, and a little text box with an "add reply" button. I'd also like some edit buttons on perhaps my own replies in the reply list displayed in the form. The simplest way that came to my mind to display the replies is to put a web browser control in the form, generate a full html page in a string from the xml, and throw it in that web browser control. And under it i can put the text box with the add reply button. Everything is ok, except that i have no idea of how i could implement the edit function on my own replies (i mean i could add a link in there... but link to what) I would like to know if there is a way to get that edit event from the web browser control (my guess is i can't) or another (maybe simple/easy) idea of displaying the replies in a winform using other controls
