• iPhone Mapkit Blue Dot / User Location Region Zoom Question

  Hey All, Is is possible to set a region based on a current location in a mapview only one time. I want my iphone app to get the current location, zoom into that current location, and then allow the user to scroll around. However, because my setRegion code is in my didUpdateToLocation function, every time the current location is updated, so is the region, and I can't scroll around on the map. I tried putting this setRegion code in the viewDidLoad function, but the user's current location isn't initialized at this point, so it doesn't work right. Any ideas?

  Hi I've been playing around with clojure and have been using it to build a simple little audio player. I never get the handling command in my log, so it must die when it does the tracks-by-album. so it does appear to be the tracks-by-album function from the stack trace. I just don't see why it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. I say that it's tracks-by-album because it's the only function (including it's children) that does filter, as can be seen in the trace. It's my little hobby project to learn clojure and so far it's quite buggy (this is just one bug :)) so I havn't really liked to tell too many people about it yet :)

• QTableWidget signal cellChanged(): distinguish between user input and change by routines

  i am using PyQt but my question is a general Qt one: I have a QTableWidget that is set up by the function updateTable. It writes the data from DATASET to the table when it is called. Unfortunately this causes my QTableWidget to emit the signal cellChanged() for every cell. The signal cellChanged() is connected to a function on_tableWidget_cellChanged that reads the contents of the changed cell and writes it back to DATASET. This is necessary to allow the user to change the data manually. So everytime the table is updated, its contents are written back to DATASET. Is there a way to distinguish if the cell was changed by the user or by updateTable? i thought of disconnecting on_tableWidget_cellChanged by updateTable temporarily but that seems to be a little dirty.

• jQuery load Google Visualization API with AJAX

  Hello. There is an issue that I cannot solve, I've been looking a lot in the internet but found nothing. I have this JavaScript that is used to do an Ajax request by PHP. When the request is done, it calls a function that uses the Google Visualization API to draw an annotatedtimeline to present the data. The script works great without AJAX, if I do everything inline it works great, but when I try to do it with AJAX it doesn't work!!! The error that I get is in the declaration of the "data" DataTable, in the Google Chrome Developer Tools I get a Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'DataTable' of undefined. When the script gets to the error, everything on the page is cleared, it just shows a blank page. So I don't know how to make it work.   Hi all, had anyone the same experiences with jquery ajax() and the beforeSend property??? And even better... any advice how to fix this problem ??? THX ;-) Actually what i am doing is reading from the database with an ajax call before i wanna sent the new data to the database via ajax (I deed to get to the last page of all comments). What happens is that beforeSend retrieves the data WITH the data which should be sent afterwards?!?! A little background: I use PowerShell on windows xp at work and I set a bunch of useful shortcuts in Microsoft.PowerShell_profile.ps1 in My Documents, trying to emulate Mac environment inspired by Ryan Bates's shortcuts I have things like: Set-Alias rsc Rails-Console function Rails-Console {Invoke-Expression "ruby script/console"} Which works just fine when in command prompt I say: rsc #it calls the proper command However this doesn't work properly Set-Alias rsg Rails-Generate function Rails-Generate {Invoke-Expression "ruby script/generate"} So when I do : rsg model User which is supposed to call ruby script/generate model User all it calls is ruby script/generate #Dumping my params So how would I properly modify my functions to take params I send to functions? • Problems with Widgets in dojox DataGrid

  I am trying to include some editing Widgets in my dojox.grid.DataGrid seem to be having a lot of difficulty. I have tried everything I can think of to get it to work, but something just isn't going right. When I started having problems, I tried to copy almost exactly from the grid tests and model my "breakout" of code just like that, but without success. Basic editing of the Grid seems to work. In the example below, the "Events" column allows edits, but the two columns that are using the cellType attribute don't work. In fact they also seem to ignore the other attributes (like the styles) which would seem to indicate that some sort of issue was run into, but there is nothing in FireBug.   I'm trying to archive a task which turns out to be a bit complicated since I'm not very good at Python metaprogramming. I want to have a module locations with function get_location(name), which returns a class defined in a folder locations/ in the file with the name passed to function. Name of a class is something like NameLocation. So, my folder structure: program.py locations/ __init__.py first.py second.py program.py will be smth with with: from locations import get_location location = get_location('first') and the location is a class defined in first.py smth like this: from locations import Location # base class for all locations, defined in __init__ (?) class FirstLocation(Location): pass etc. Okay, I've tried a lot of import and getattribute statements but now I'm bored and surrender. How to archive such behaviour?

Does the called parameter takes the ownership from the callee parameter (or) the reference count is increased? void foo( CComPtr<IXmlReader> & pReader ) { // There is no reassignment of the CComPtr. // Just call the IXmlReader methods. } CComPtr<IXmlReader> pReader; foo( pReader ); // Is pReader still valid after the function return ?
