    I am trying to work with two worksheets at the same time. So I have code require 'parseexcel' #Open the excel file passed in from the commandline workbook = Spreadsheet::ParseExcel.parse(ARGV[0]) workbook2 = Spreadsheet::ParseExcel.parse(ARGV[1]) #Get the first worksheet worksheet = workbook.worksheet(0) worksheet2 = workbook2.worksheet(0) However, when I run this code I get an error: array is not implemented This error goes away when I comment out line: workbook2 = Spreadsheet::ParseExcel.parse(ARGV[1]) Why is this happeneing?     I wanted to display a long list of strings from an array. Right now, my script run through a for loop echoing each value to the standard output: for value in ${values[@]} do echo $value done Yeah, that's pretty ugly! And the one column listing is pretty long too... I was wondering if i can find a command or builtin helping me to display all those values in columns, like the ls command does by default when listing a directory (ls -C).

  • Place images byte into String is not working?

    I tried on Flex 3, facing issue with uploading JPG/PNG image, trace readUTFBytes would return correct bytes length but tmpFileContent is trucated, it would only appear to have upload just 3 characters of data to the server through PHP script which made image unusable. I have no issue for non-images format. What is wrong here? var tmpFileContent:String = fileRef.data.readUTFBytes(fileRef.data.length); Is String capable of handle bytes?

I tried like this: validateRequired($('#name')); but it doesn't work. How can I do this?

  • Writing direct to disk with php

    I would like to create an upload script that doesn't fall under the php upload limit. There might be an occasion where I need to upload a 2GB, or larger file and I don't want to have to change the whole server execution to above 32MB. Is there a way to write direct to disk from php? What method might you propose someone would use to accomplish this? I have read around stack overflow but haven't quite found what I am looking to do.

  • jquery 1.4.1 breaks my slideshow

    After toying with the jquery slideshow extension, I created my own that better suited my purposes ( I didn't like that all the images needed to load at the beginning for instance). Now, upon upgrading to jQuery 1.4.2 (I know I'm late), the slideshow loads the first image fine ( from the line$('div#slideshow img#ssone').fadeIn(1500); towards the bottom), but doesn't do anything beyond that. Does anyone have any idea which jquery construct is killing my script? The live page is at lplonline.org which is using 1.3.2 for the time being. Thanks in advance.   • Phonegap web view thinks device screen taller than it is - results in offscreen tabbar

    I have a jQTouch application loaded via server, so all I need to do is display the webpage full screen in PhoneGap for a faux-Native app. Unfortunatley each solution I've tried in PhoneGap has an issue: it thinks the screen size is taller than it is. This resuls in the tabbar that is pinned to the bottom being permantly offscreen and there fore unusable. You should be able to recreate this with my code below and going to the iTabbar online demo. Any thoughts on how to correct this issue? For background, going to the app page in iOS safari works fine, as well as saving the page to the home screen. In both cases the webview stops at the bottom of the screen and the tabbar is therefore viewable. Also, I'm using build.phonegap.com to compile (I'm not compiling locally) I've tried two methods: load the childBrowser plugin and call up the page (with navbar hidden via options) set the following config.xml parameter to prevent phonegap from switching to Safari, and then just load the link (preferable as it's cleaner in my mind.
