  • Compiling my own PHP extension on Windows with Visual Studio 2008

    I wrote a PHP extension and it could be compiled and run under linux successfully. But on windows, I met some problems. I did the compiling on windows according to http://blog.slickedit.com/?p=128 with PHP source version 5.2.10, and after the compiling it generated the dll file. But when I tried to use the dll file, it reported me the memory problems when starting Apache(Wamp server). And then I started the debugging process, it seemed that REGISTER_INI_ENTRIES() had problems. Here is the PHP extension source code, http://www.bluefly.cn/xsplit.tar.gz , and it works fine on Linux. But I also want to make it work on Windows. Sorry I am not a pro so that I hope someone can help me. Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance~

  • Compiling PAR for Perl under Windows

    I've downloaded PAR from http://par.perl.org/wiki/Main_Page and compiled it after reading the README file. I've used dmake-4.12-20090907 instead of nmake ('cause 1.5 does not work) from http://search.cpan.org/dist/dmake/. No problems during the installing proccess (repeating the install proccess doesn't help farther, no warnings, just less text output), but there is no pp.exe or something similar. I'm using Windows XP, all compilations were done on the c drive. perl -v "This is perl 5, version 12, subversion 2 (v5.12.2) built for MSWin32-x86-multi-thread"

  • Rails Custom Plugin/Gem with Partials

    I am writing a gem which provides helpers for views. The HTML I want to insert via the helper is complex enough that I'd rather write it in a _partial.html.erb file. How do I get the gem's view path include in the application's load_path? Note: the only gem I've found that does something like this is Devise.   • PL/SQL pre-compile and Code Quality checks in an automatted build environment?

    We build software using Hudson and Maven. We have C#, java and last, but not least PL/SQL sources (sprocs, packages, DDL, crud) For C# and Java we do unit tests and code analysis, but we don't really know the health of our PL/SQL sources before we actually publish them to the target database. Requirements There are a couple of things we wan't to test in the following priority: Are the sources valid, hence "compilable"? For packages, with respect to a certain database, would they compile? Code Quality: Do we have code flaws like duplicates, too complex methods or other violations to a defined set of rules? Also, the tool must run head-less (commandline, ant, ...) we wan't to do analysis on a partial code base (changed sources only) Tools We did a little research and found the following tools that could potencially help: Cast Application Intelligence Platform (AIP): Seems to be a server that grasps information about "anything". Couldn't find a console version that would export in readable format. Toad for Oracle: The Professional version is said to include something called Xpert validates a set of rules against a code base. Sonar + PL/SQL-Plugin: Uses Toad for Oracle to display code-health the sonar-way. This is for browsing the current state of the code base. Semantic Designs DMSToolkit: Quite general analysis of source code base. Commandline available? Semantic Designs Clones Detector: Detects clones. But also via command line? Fortify Source Code Analyzer: Seems to be focussed on security issues. But maybe it is extensible? more... So far, Toad for Oracle together with Sonar seems to be an elegant solution. But may be we are missing something here? Any ideas? Other products? Experiences?   • Display two independent Tumblr blogs on one page?

    I'd like to display two independent Tumblr blogs next to each other on one page. I'd like them to look identical to their Tumblr theme. What's the best way to do this? I'm able to use JavaScript to import the content like this: <div id="tumblr1"> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://tumblr1.tumblr.com/js"></script> <div> <div id="tumblr2"> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://tumblr2.tumblr.com/js"></script> <div> But the content obviously won't be styled.   • OS X contains heapsort in stdlib.h which conflicts with heapsort in sort library

    I'm using Ariel Faigon's sort library, found here: http://www.yendor.com/programming/sort/ I was able to get all my code working on Linux, but unfortunately, when trying to compile with GCC on Mac, its default stdlib.h contains another heapsort, which unfortunately results in a conflicting types error. Here's the man page for Apple heapsort: http://developer.apple.com/library/mac/#documentation/Darwin/Reference/ManPages/man3/heapsort.3.html Commenting out the heapsort in the sort library header causes a whole heap of problems. (pardon the pun) I also briefly thought of commenting out my use of stdlib.h, but I use malloc and realloc, so that won't work at all. Any ideas?

  • PHP app with cookie less session does not work

    I am trying to use PHP session without using cookies. I have enabled session.use_trans_sid and disabled session.use_cookies in my php.ini file. I have also disabled cookies in my firefox browser. Now, when I browse my home page, I do not see the HTTP set cookie header in the server response to my page request (using Live HTTP headers). My understanding is that PHP will append session IDs to my request URL when cookies are disabled. Am I doing something wrong? BTW, I am aware using session IDs is not a recommended approach.

  • Linq to xml not able to add new elements

    We save our xml in a "text" field in the database. So first I check if it exist any xml, if not I create a new xdocument, fill it with the necessary xml. else i just add the new element. Code looks like this: XDocument doc = null; if (item.xmlString == null || item.xmlString == "") { doc = new XDocument(new XDeclaration("1.0", "utf-8", "yes"), new XElement("DataTalk", new XAttribute(XNamespace.Xmlns + "xsi", "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"), new XAttribute(XNamespace.Xmlns + "xsd", "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"), new XElement("Posts", new XElement("TalkPost")))); } else { doc = XDocument.Parse(item.xmlString); } This is working alright to create a structure, but then the problem appears, when I want to add new TalkPost. I get an error saying incorrectly structured document. The following code when adding new elements: doc.Add(new XElement("TalkPost", new XElement("PostType", newDialog.PostType), new XElement("User", newDialog.User), new XElement("Customer", newDialog.Customer), new XElement("PostedDate", newDialog.PostDate), new XElement("Message", newDialog.Message)));

  • WCF - Dynamically Change WebResponseFormat

    Is there a way to dynamically change the WebResponseFormat on a method given a parameter passed by the client? I default my WebResponseFormat to XML, but I want to give the client the opportunity to specify a format as JSON or XML and if none is specified, default to XML. Currently I am doing the following: [WebGet(UriTemplate = "objects", BodyStyle = WebMessageBodyStyle.Bare)] [OperationContract] List<SampleObject> GetObjects(); The user can call it via: http://localhost/rest/myservice/objects They then can specify a format by doing: http://localhost/rest/myservice/objects?format=json The problem is that when I try to set the response content type via: WebOperationContext.Current.OutgoingResponse.ContentType = "application/json"; That just returns the XML but the browser attempts to process it like a JSON object instead of serializing the response as JSON. Is this even possible with .NET 3.5 outside of using a Stream as the return value and serializing the response myself? If not, is there a better solution?

  • WCF service with 2 Bindings and 2 Base Addresses

    I have written a WCF service (I am a newb) that I want to provide 2 endpoints for (net.tcp & basicHttp) The problem comes when I try to configure the endpoints. If I configure them as seperate services, then my service names are the same which causes a problem.     Can anybody tell me any "free online hosted database servers" (don't know if that is the correct term) where we can do query testing and all those things that we can do on tools like PhpMyAdmin? does something like that exist? Like we have http://jsfiddle.net/ for testing js codes. I checked http://sqlzoo.net/ but this is very much limited and there are some predefined tables in some given examples on which we can alter things. That's all. It does not allow me to do a lots of other things like creating tables etc. A nice resource - PhpMyAdmin's demo site . Use the latest stable version here. You have full control over the MySQL server, however you should not change root, debian-sys-maint or pma user password or limit their permissions. If you do so, demo can not be accessed until privileges are restored, so you just break things for you and other users.

So far I manage to send them to the server correctly but the xml is static. I am looking for a way to insert dynamic/random values into the XML and then send it to the server.     Hi, I'm looking for a package / module / function etc. that is approximately the Python equivalent of Arc90's readability.js http://lab.arc90.com/experiments/readability http://lab.arc90.com/experiments/readability/js/readability.js so that I can give it some input.html and the result is cleaned up version of that html page's "main text". I want this so that I can use it on the server-side (unlike the JS version that runs only on browser side). Any ideas? PS: I have tried Rhino + env.js and that combination works but the performance is unacceptable it takes minutes to clean up most of the html content :( (still couldn't find why there is such a big performance difference).

    I'd like all my content to flow around an image. To do this, I simply did img#me { width: 300px; float: left; margin-right: 30px; } This works for text wraping, but other elements go behind it. For example <style> h2 { background: black; color: white; } </style> <img id="me" src="http://paultarjan.com/paul.jpg" /> <h2>Things!</h2> Then the h2 background flows right past the 30px margin.   • Google bot .net and AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport dilemma

    Hi, i have a .net mobile web site where i use sesion state and due to nature of mobile networks/phones (not all supports session cookies) i had to use <sessionState cookieless="AutoDetect"/> It works fine but because each new session redirected with "AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1" i have a feeling that google won't like this. Here is a small sample from my server logs supportForumReadTopic.aspx id=38 80 - 66.249.71.80 Mozilla/5.0+(compatible;+Googlebot/2.1;++http://www.google.com/bot.html) 302 supportForumReadTopic.aspx id=38&AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1 Mozilla/5.0+(compatible;+Googlebot/2.1;++http://www.google.com/bot.html) 200 As you see each new hit from google will get 302 to itself. I have a genericmozilla5.browser file where i define google bot as cookie supporting browser in order to get .net not to use cookieless urls but not sure how this 302 would effect me. Any one had smilar exprience? Any ideas? Suggestions? Thanks
