  • What is the best way when creating a Google Widget, to store the data for the Widget to be shared by

    I know this may end up getting closed quickly. I could not find this in my searching through APIs. And this is probably a very simple question but here we go... How do you store data on a google application you create in which you and others in a specific group or more specifically the people who can edit a specific calendar, can reach this data? Person A,B,C have read/write access to a calendar, and lets say they want to co-ordinate information. I want this information to not be accessible to modify by all 3 though it is not stored in a calendar? (Though I thought about just creating an event in 1900 and then that fullfills that, but at the same time is a very hack way to do it) I would appreciate any insight you can give me when it comes to data handling in google applications, I am very new to it, but have been looking into it.

    Hi, In my application I have to search five nearest locations of "medical services" using the user current location and annotate those locations on my MKMapView. Can any one tell me how to search with a particular keyword (eg. medical services, garages) by using user current locations and annotate onto the map and when the user taps on the annotations it should show the complete address of the locations which is annotated. Can anyone help me in this?

    Hey guys. I'm using Dave DeLong's CHCSVParser to parse a csv. I can parse the csv locally, but I cannot get it load a remote csv file. I have been staring at my MacBook way too long today and the answer is right in front of me.     Hello guys! I subclassed the UIWindow to get the clicks from UIWebView. I used a tutorial for this. Here is the link: Tutorial It is working, but after I've got and other tutorial from the writer where he shows how to highlight the text in UIWebView. Here's the second link. But I can't use this second one. I tried to run this code in the - (void)userDidTapWebView:(id)tapPoint; delegate method. This delegate method is called when I tap in the UIWebView. Maybe somebody can help me to correct the script? I would like to get the tapped anchor's link. I tried many different java script, but until now I couldn't get the tapped anchor's link. One of the tries is when I tried to add a function to document.onClick. But I tap an anchor then it needs a second tap to get the anchor and I can't get the link neither with this method.

    I'm wondering is there a difference in terms of computing cost for the Model.get(keys) and Model.get_by_id(ids, parent=None) methods? Is there a server side computing advantage of using numeric id's over encoded string keys, or other way around? How big is the difference? PS. Sorry, if it's a dupe.   • Extend TTPhotoViewController with custom TTPhotoView

    I have successfully integrated the three20 framework in my project, and I have extended the TTPhotoViewController to add some further functionality. Now I need to add some subviews to the TTPhotoView loaded by the TTPhotoViewController. In particular I would like to add that subviews after every TTPhotoView as been loaded. These subviews represents sensible area over the image so they should scale proportionally with the image. The user can tap a subview to get extra info about the image. I don't know how to implement this behavior. Should I extend the TTPhotoView and make sure that the TTPhotoViewController use this extended version instead of its TTPhotoView? Could someone point me to the right direction? Thank you

    Hi, I'm changing the back button item title in the viewDidAppear of a controller in the following way: self.navigationController.navigationBar.backItem.title = @"Previous"; It changes the tittle properly, but the I'm having a strange behaviour. When I select the "previous" button, it changes the tittle of the controller that is up in the stack (i.e the parent controller now has the title "Previous". Do you now why this happened ???     From the Core Data docs: A property name cannot be the same as any no-parameter method name of NSObject or NSManagedObject—for example, you cannot give a property the name “description” Ok, so -description is blocked for property names. I guess it's because of KVC. But what exactly does "no-parameter" mean? Is that any method which does not take a parameter? So in other words: Any property of NSObject or NSManagedObject ANY method name of NSObject or NSManagedObject, which does not take a parameter Did I get that right?

No matter where I call [self myCustomMethod] (initWithNibName, viewDidLoad, viewWillLoad, viewWillAppear, viewDidAppear), the custom method is getting called twice - what's the deal?

  • Code coverage in Win32 app

    We are just about to start a new project. The Proof of Concept (PoC) for this project was done simply using Win32. The plan is/was to flesh out the PoC, tidy the uglier parts and meet the requirements set by the project owners. One of the requirements for the actual project is 100% code coverage but I can see problems ahead: How can I acheive 100% code coverage with Win32 - the message pump will be exceptionally difficult to test effectively?! I could compile to a DLL but won't there be code in the main app that won't be under coverage? I am thinking of dropping the Win32 code and moving to MFC - at least then a lot of the boiler plate stuff will be hidden from view (and therefore coverage). Any thoughts on the problem?
