  I have the following <label for="Forename">Forename</label> <%= Html.TextBoxFor(m => m.Customer.Name.Forename) %> the problem with this is that this is rendered as <label for="AddressLine1">Address Line 1</label> <input type="text" value="" name="Customer.Address.Thoroughfare" id="Customer_Address_Thoroughfare"> not what I want ofc. • Updates to NSDictionary attribute in CoreData not saving

  I have created an Entity in CoreData that includes a Transformable attribute type implemented as an NSDictionary. The NSDictionary attribute only contains values of a custom class. The properties of the custom class are all of type NSString. The custom class complies with NSCoding implementing: -(void)encodeWithCoder:(NSCoder*)coder; -(id)initWithCoder:(NSCoder *)coder When saving the Entity for the first time all attributes including the Transformable (NSDictionary) type are properly saved in the DB. When the same Entity is fetched from the DB and updated (including the Transformable attribute) it seems to be updated properly. However, when the app is closed and then reopened fetching the Entity does not show the updated Transformable attribute-type though the rest of the attributes of type NSDate and NSString are up-to-date. The Transformable attribute is the original saved value not the updated value. Is this a problem with KVO or am I missing something else when trying to save an NSDictionary filled with a custom class to CoreData?

• Mongomapper query collection problem

  When I define the User has_many meetings, it automatically creates a "user_id" key/value pair to relate to the User collections. Except I can't run any mongo_mapper finds using this value, without it returning nil or []. Meeting.first(:user_id = "1234") Meeting.all(:user_id = "1234") Meeting.find(:user_id = "1234") All return nil. Is there another syntax? • How do I get an unexpanded REG_EXPAND_SZ string from a remote registry?

  I am currently using RegistryKey.GetValue(string name, object defaultValue, RegistryValueOptions options) with RegistryValueOptions.DoNotExpandEnvironmentNames for the options value. However, this is only valid when run on the local machine. Digging down via Reflector, I find it expands the strings locally. Which means that irrespective of the setting, the strings come down remotely already expanded. Has anyone come across a solution to this that does not require running a process directly on the remote machine to get a REG_EXPAND_SZ value? Update: I attempted to use WMI's StdRegProv provider to gain access, but it still expands the strings before sending them back.

I run the project in Debug mode so a page opens in my browser where I can enter an input and invoke the method of the service.   Hey, I have a form for administrators where they insert a user name ("domain\name") and the code gets and sets some information out of it. It's a huge project and some of the lists contain the username as a string ("domain\name"), but some lists only count on the "Created By" column, which is auto-created. I want to know what's the fastest way to query these lists using the username string. I tried to use the same query as the one I use for the first kind of lists and it obviously didn't work - <Where><Eq><FieldRef Name='UserName'/><Value Type='Text'>domain\\username</Value></Eq></Where> Thank you.

  Hi I am using a navigation Controller on an iPhone app. I am able to pass data forward when I push a controller into the navigation stack but how do I pass data back when I pop the controller. What I am basically trying to achieve is the root navigation controller view displays a number of fields that can be edited. A user then clicks on one of the fields to be edited and a EditViewController is pushed onto the stack with the name of the field the user wants to edit. Now the users enters the new value of the field and presses save to pop the view controller. So how do I get the value from the editViewController back to the root navigation controller view?

• Positioning divs inside a container div without the content of an upper div affecting the position o

  Hi. I'm trying to accomplish the following layout, and I'm almost there, except for the last green div, which is going lower and lower depending on the content of the content (white) div. If I set a value for the TOP property for the green div, and then I add some more text to the content div, the green div goes lower and lower. Since the green div is child to the main container div, and the green div is relatively positioned, isn't it supposed to be placed specifically at the position indicated by the TOP value of it? If I'm incorrect...can someone please tell me how can i make it so that the green div is always displayed at the same spot within the container (gray) div, regardless of the height of the content/white div? • Problem on IE6-8 with jQuery

  Hello guys, I'm stuck here with this IE6 issue.. always a pain. So I'm using jQuery's "live" feature to add a product each time. Then once each dropdown's value is changed, an input field assigned to it changes its value too so when I hit submit, it sends all the info. Everything works perfectly fine except in IE6, IE7, and IE8. I have no idea why... I've gone through the code and everything... so please guys. • Zend_Form -> Nicely change setRequired() validate message

  Say I create a text element like this: $firstName = new Zend_Form_Element_Text('firstName'); $firstName->setRequired(true); Whats the best way to change the default error message from: Value is empty, but a non-empty value is required to a custom message? I read somewhere that to replace the message, just use addValidator(..., instead (NO setRequired), like this: $firstName = new Zend_Form_Element_Text('firstName'); $firstName->addValidator('NotEmpty', false, array('messages'=>'Cannot be empty')); but in my testing, this doesn't work - it doesn't validate at all - it will pass with an empty text field. Using both (addValidator('NotEmp.. + setRequired(true)) at the same time doesn't work either - it double validates, giving two error messages. Any ideas? Thanks!

• Custom Display Form with Custom Workflow button

  I have created a new custom list form that will show 4 fields on the page from a Custom List called "Shipment". I have added Form Action button that I would like to run a custom action that is set inside of a Workflow. Currently, the form displays the fields for "Manifest Number", "Pickup Location", "Delivery Location", & "Scheduled Pickup Time". When the user clicks the Form Action button, what I want the Workflow to do is go to the ID field of the displayed content in the Form and change the value of the "Picked Up" column from No to Yes. The problem I am having is passing the ID of the displayed information from the Form to the Workflow as a variable. I can get the "Picked Up" column to update if I specify the value in the "Update List Item" window under the "Find the List Item" section, but I cannot figure out how to do this dynamically from the Form

• Dropping support for IE6, Is swfObject still relevant?

  We have recently dropped support for IE6 at my job. The other developers have have opted for a generic object embed method: <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="example.swf" width="800" height="600" > <param name="movie" value="example.swf"> <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"> </object> This seems to work in all modern browsers but it really rubs me the wrong way. I'm sure this is wrong in several ways and is clearly a big step back in sophistication. So my question is in 2 parts, what is wrong with the above method? Is swfObject still best practice and what issues does it solve (besides IE6 click-activate)? Citations less then a year old would also be helpful.

  I just noticed something concerning for-loop performance that seems to fly in the face of the recommendations given by the Google Android team. However, the code that uses a variable which contains the precomputed value for the loop limit is significantly slower than either of the others. I'm not surprised that accessing a variable should be slower that using a literal but why does code that looks like it should be using two multiply instructions on every iteration of the loop so comparable in performance to a literal? Could it be that because literals are the only thing being multiplied, the Java compiler is optimizing out the multiplication and using a precomputed literal?

  My model object (e.g. MyObject) has one property (e.g. color), the "color" property holds a string value which comes from a list of string (e.g. colors=['red','yellow', 'black']). now, I have one instance of myObject get from database and show on the view page in a row, I need to show the 'color' property of myObject in a drop down menu with the current value as the default selected. How to implement this in Rails 3 in my view page. (Later, when user select from the dropdown menu, the object will be updated in DB based on user's selection) Please explain with instance "myObject" and list "colors=[...]"

  I'm trying to debug a program I wrote. I ran it inside gdb and I managed to catch a SIGABRT from inside calloc(). I'm completely confused about how this can arise. Can it be a bug in gcc or even libc?? More details: My program uses OpenMP. I ran it through valgrind in single-threaded mode with no errors. I also use mmap() to load a 40GB file, but I doubt that is relevant. Inside gdb, I'm running with 30 threads. Several identical runs (same input&CL) finished correctly, until the problematic one that I caught. On the surface this suggests there might be a race condition of some type. • Kernel panic when altering system_call in entry.S

  I'm trying to implement a system call counter, and as a result I included an int value in task_struct, and a function that increments it in a separate file. This function is supposed to be called from system_call right before it actually calls the required sys_call (I have my reasons to call it before and not after). However, if I place it before the sys_call then after compiling and booting there's a kernel panic ("tried to kill init_idle"), and if I place it right after the sys_call, it works. What's the difference and how do I overcome this?
