• Qt MOC Filename Collisions using multiple .pri files

  In order to keep my Qt project somewhat organized (using Qt Creator), I've got one .pro file and multiple .pri files. Just recently I added a class to one of my .pri files that has the same filename as a class that already existed in a separate .pri file. The file structure and makefiles generated by qmake appear to be oblivious to the filename collision that ensues. The generated moc_* files all get thrown into the same subdirectory (either release or debug, depending) and one ends up overwriting the other. When I try to make the project, I get several warnings that look like this: Makefile.Release:318: warning: overriding commands for target `release/moc_file.cpp` And the project fails to link. Here is a simple example of what I'm talking about. • Problem when trying to connect to a desktop server from android on wifi

  Hello, I am trying to send a file from the phone running Android 1.5 to a server on a desktop. I wrote some code, which works on emulator, but on the phone it doesn't. I'm connecting to the network through WiFi. It works, I can access the internet through my phone and I've configured my router. The application stops when I'm trying to connect. • Reading Unicode files line by line C++

  What is the correct way to read Unicode files line by line in C++? I am trying to read a file saved as Unicode (LE) by Windows Notepad. Suppose the file contains simply the characters A and B on separate lines. In reading the file byte by byte, I see the following byte sequence (hex) : FE FF 41 00 0D 00 0A 00 42 00 0D 00 0A 00 So 2 byte BOM, 2 byte 'A', 2byte CR , 2byte LF, 2 byte 'B', 2 byte CR, 2 byte LF . I tried reading the text file using the following code: std::wifstream file("test.txt"); file.seekg(2); // skip BOM std::wstring A_line; std::wstring B_line; getline(file,A_line); // I get "A" getline(file,B_line); // I get "\0B" I get the same results using operator instead of getline file >> A_line; file >> B_line; It appears that the single byte CR character is is being consumed only as the single byte. or CR NULL LF is being consumed but not the high byte NULL. I would expect wifstream in text mode would read the 2byte CR and 2byte LF. What am I doing wrong? It does not seem right that one should have to read a text file byte by byte in binary mode just to parse the new lines.

  I'm a beginner in Android programming and I was tryinh to upload an image to a server. I found some code here on stackoverflow, I adjusted it and it still doesn't work. The problem is my image still won't upload. edit I solved the problem, I had no rights on the folder on the server. • How to prevent the other threads from accessing a method when one thread is accessing a method?

  I want to search for a string in 10 files and write the matching lines to a single file. I wrote the matching lines from each file to 10 output files(o/p file1,o/p file2...) and then copied those to a single file using 10 threads. But the output single file has mixed output(one line from o/p file1,another line from o/p file 2 etc...) because its accessed simultaneously by many threads. If I wait for all threads to complete and then write the single file it will be much slower. I want the output file to be written by one thread at a time. What should i do? • c programming malloc question

  Hello guys, Just got query regarding c malloc() function. I am read()ing x number of bytes from a file to get lenght of filename, like ' read(file, &namelen, sizeof(unsigned char)); ' . The variable namelen is a type unsigned char and was written into file as that type (1 byte). Now namelen has the lenght of filename ie namelen=8 if file name was 'data.txt', plus extra /0 at end, that working fine. Now I have a structure recording file info, ie filename, filelenght, content size etc. struct fileinfo { char *name; ...... other variable like size etc }; struct fileinfo *files; Question: I want to make that files.name variable the size of namelen ie 8 so I can successfully write the filename into it, like ' files[i].name = malloc(namelen) ' However, I dont want it to be malloc(sizeof(namelen)) as that would make it file.name[1] as the size of its type unsigned char. I want it to be the value thats stored inside variable &namelen ie 8 so file.name[8] so data.txt can be read() from file as 8 bytes and written straight into file.name[8?   I am using a Winforms webbrowser control to display HTML content stored in my SQL DB table. However, some of my contents are PDFs which I intend to store as binary data in the SQL DB and feed to the Webbrowser control. I wish to avoid the hassle of storing the binary content in a temporary file on the client machine and then create html container code to reference this temporary PDF file. Is there a way inwhich I can embed the PDF binary content into the html directly and show this html on the webbrowser control directly? I found these previous threads referring to a COM 'hack'. Maybe I am trying to go where I want the wrong way but the main idea is: there are some jQuery UI tabs and when the user presses a link, a new tab is added corresponding to that action $("#tabs").tabs('add', "/groups", "My Groups"); the controller identifies the AJAX request and renders only the partial for that tab if request.xhr? render :partial => "index_tab" end at this point I would like the Javascript file associated with the /groups/index action to be executed as well, meaning the index.js.erb file in the groups folder. because of the "only one render" rule I couldn't think of a nice way to do it and I am in need of a fast solution. • South migration error: NoMigrations exception for django.contrib.auth

  I have been using South on my project for a while, but I recently did a huge amount of development and changed development machine and I think something messed up in the process. The project works fine, but I can't apply migrations.   Hello, I am working on a asp.net 3.5 project in sweden, where some of the namespaces include swedish characters, such as 'å', 'ä' and 'ö'. When building the project and generating the design-file, visual studio replaces these characters with some other strange characters. This only happens when the characters occur in a namespace or class name. If a field or variable contain a swedish character, everything works fine. To clarify, the strange character occur in the design file when a namespace and/or control contain swedish characters. Does anyone know why this happens and if there is a solution for the problem that doesn't mean changing the names of the namespaces? Sincerely, Fredrik
