  • Custom spring bean

    - by Hari
Hi, I want to convert some of our internal API into a spring bean that we can use in other projects. This API needs some instantiation and other logic which I want to encapsulate in this bean so that we can just put the bean into our app context with necessary propoerties alone. I remember having read an article on this somewhere in the past - but cant find it now. Any pointers to something similar will be helpful

  • How to pass in password to pg_dump?

    - by Mark
I'm trying to create a cronjob to back up my database every night before something catastrophic happens. It looks like this command should meet my needs: pg_dump dbname | gzip > $(date +%Y-%m-%d).psql.gz Except after running that, it expects me to type in a password. I can't do that if I run it from cron. How can I pass one in automatically?

  • How to match !x but not !!x in JS regex?

    - by mpeterson
Given the following text: This is!!xa simple string!xpattern I would like to get a regexp that matches the !x that's between "string" and "pattern" but not !!xa that's between "is" and "a". This regexp is to be used inside a string split(). I have tried several combinations but I cannot get a regexp that meets my needs. Perhaps my expression is not so regular after all =) Thanks in advance!

  • Is it the most common case?

    - by Knowing me knowing you
Why when I click on the x button to close the window in a Java application only the window dissapears and the applicaton is still running. I've read so many times that java designers tried to cater Java behaviour for the most common needs of programmers and save they precious time and so on and so on. What's more common case than closing app when I click on a X button?

  • Package website from Aptana Studio 3

    - by user3699921
I have a web application built using Aptana Studio 3, the web application is targeted towards different platforms that execute HTML5 applications as native applications therefore not browsers per-se and therefore needs to be build differently for each platform as it is not a standard website. I need to be able to: Specify html templates that can be included/excluded in different builds for the same file Package the website in a zip Optionally override some modules (requirejs is used for modules) as they are device specific Publish to an FTP server Whilst I can do all of this manually it can be error prone.

  • What happens if I give more inputs in estimateRigidTransform or getAffineTransform?

    - by user3531608
I am using estimateRigidTransform with about two vectors of 100 points and is working FINE. But somehow getAffineTransform doesn't work. I know that findHomography finds the best matrix using RANSAC and getPerspectiveTransform needs only 4 points. My question is what happens if I give more inputs in estimateRigidTransform or getAffineTransform? Does it take only 4 points from input matrix? Or do some kind of RANSAC?

  • HTML/CSS Design for Report

    - by Kevin Brown
I'm looking for some resources that demonstrate good graphic design for generated (PHP/HTML/CSS) reports. The website I'm designing is essentially a long test. Everything is finished except the report generation, and this part needs to look good! I'd appreciate any advice/resources you can point me to! I know this isn't directly programming related, but my purposes do encompass coding and output.

  • Access "currentState" from other classes?

    - by Herter
I'm making a little application in Actionscript 3. In my initApp.as I have created another class which needs to edit the currentState, which is only accessible from the main .as (initApp.as). I found a solution such that I can reach the currentState property from my other class: Application.application.currentState. This is however not a good solution as it couples the classes too much.. is there a better way of editing the currentState from other classes?

  • Convert a python dict to a string and back

    - by AJ00200
I am writing a program that stores data in a dictionary object, but this data needs to be saved at some point during the program execution and loaded back into the dictionary object when the program is run again. How would I convert a dictionary object into a string that can be written to a file and loaded back into a dictionary object? This will hopefully support dictionaries containing dictionaries.

  • How to generate a script for changing a column of varchar to xml type with data being converted?

    - by user1323981
Initially I have a column (partner_email) of varchar. Now a recent change has come where it needs to be changed to be changed to the XML type but the previous records needs to be reserve into the new column. I have applied the below algorithm to accomplish the work /*********************************************************************** Purpose: To change the partner_email column from Varchar Type To Xml Type and convert the existing records from varchar to xml types. Programmers Notes: 1. Create a new Column by the name partner_email_temp of type XML into the Partner Table 2. Copy the Email contents from partner_email to partner_email_temp column after proper conversion N.B.~ The format will be <PartnerEmails> <Email>[email protected]</Email> <Email /> <Email /> </PartnerEmails> 3. Drop the exisitng partner_email 4. Rename partner_email_temp column to partner_email ***********************************************************************/ USE [Test] GO --===== Create a partner_email_temp column of type xml into the Partner table IF NOT EXISTS ( SELECT * FROM INFORMATION_SCHEMA.columns WHERE table_name = 'Partner' AND column_name = 'partner_email_temp' ) BEGIN ALTER TABLE [dbo].[Partner] ADD partner_email_temp XML NULL END GO --===== Copy the Email contents from partner_email to partner_email_temp column -- after proper conversion to xml type UPDATE [dbo].[Partner] SET partner_email_temp = CAST('<PartnerEmails><Email>' + REPLACE(partner_email, '&', '&amp;') + '</Email><Email></Email><Email></Email></PartnerEmails>' AS XML) GO --===== Drop the exisitng partner_email ALTER TABLE [dbo].[Partner] DROP COLUMN partner_email GO --===== Rename partner_email_temp column to partner_email Exec sp_RENAME 'Partner.partner_email_temp','partner_email','COLUMN' GO I works fine for the first time I ran. Now if I ran it for the next time, it am getting an error Msg 8116, Level 16, State 1, Line 4 Argument data type xml is invalid for argument 1 of replace function. Caution: Changing any part of an object name could break scripts and stored procedures. The intention is that, if the partner_email column is varchar, the script will change it to xml type and will convert all the data in xml format . If I ran it second time, it should ignore the statement. How to achieve this? I am trying in a different way DECLARE @columnDataType VARCHAR(50) SELECT @columnDataType = DATA_TYPE FROM INFORMATION_SCHEMA.columns WHERE table_name = 'Partner' AND column_name = 'partner_email' print @columnDataType IF (@columnDataType = 'varchar') BEGIN --===== Create a partner_email_temp column of type xml into the Partner table IF NOT EXISTS ( SELECT * FROM INFORMATION_SCHEMA.columns WHERE table_name = 'Partner' AND column_name = 'partner_email_temp' ) BEGIN ALTER TABLE [dbo].[Partner] ADD partner_email_temp XML NULL --===== Copy the Email contents from partner_email to partner_email_temp column -- after proper conversion to xml type UPDATE [dbo].[Partner] SET partner_email_temp = CAST('<PartnerEmails><Email>' + REPLACE(partner_email, '&', '&amp;') + '</Email><Email></Email><Email></Email></PartnerEmails>' AS XML) --===== Drop the exisitng partner_email ALTER TABLE [dbo].[Partner] DROP COLUMN partner_email --===== Rename partner_email_temp column to partner_email EXEC sp_RENAME 'Partner.partner_email_temp','partner_email','COLUMN' END END but getting error Msg 207, Level 16, State 1, Line 29 Invalid column name 'partner_email_temp'. • iPhone: trouble with wrong credentials

    - by user331396
I am writing an iPhone App that uses a HTTPS/SOAP service which needs user credentials. After I change the password used for these credentials from a valid to an invalid one I still get a valid response from the service, as if the password was never changed. When I restart the app (with the invalid password) the app immediately receives the expected '401' message. Any hints what I might left out to code? Thx :)

  • Passing a bool condition to method which I can invoke when I need

    - by dotnetdev
Hi, I need to pass in a predicate which I can invoke whenever I want (just like a delegate). I am trying to do something like this (I thought Predicate delegate would meet my needs): MyMethod(Predicate, string pred); Called like: MyMethod(s = s.Length 5); I want to write the condition inline BUT invoke it when I want, just like a delegate. How could I do this? Thanks
