• Saving a movie generated with Jython/JES on local disk

  I made an autogenerated movie clip using JES (Jython Environment for Students). I can play it without any problem using playMovie(), but I can't figure out how to have it saved physically on disk. This error sounds like a java bug in Jython/JES library. I am running JES under Windows 7 and have all the common Quicktime and AVI codex installed as well as the QTjava library in my jre...   I'm trying to write a script to import a database file. I wrote the script to export the file like so: import sqlite3 con = sqlite3.connect('../sqlite.db') with open('../dump.sql', 'w') as f: for line in con.iterdump(): f.write('%s\n' % line) Now I want to be able to import that database. I tried: import sqlite3 con = sqlite3.connect('../sqlite.db') f = open('../dump.sql','r') str = f.read() con.execute(str) but I'm not allowed to execute more than one statement. Is there a way to get it to run a .sql script directly?

At line 3, am I setting current to point to the same address as near so that I now have two variables pointing to the same place in memory, or am I setting current to point to the location of near in memory such that I now have this structure: current - near - NSMutableArray The obvious difference would be the value of near at line 4.   Okay I just started with Django and it's totally different from PHP. I installed Python 2.6 and Django. Both are located in my C drive. C: Django build django docs Python26 I am doing the django site tutorial and when they say to write django-admin.py startproject mysite from my Python command line, I keep getting: Syntax error: invalid syntax >>>django-admin.py startproject mysite FILE "<stdin>", line 1 django-admin.py startproject mysite ^ My django-admin.py is in the django/bin folder. I installed Python via python setup.py. Am I suppose to use my window's CP? When I do that, I get window's can't open a .py file. I thought I was just creating a folder? • Debug error in NetBeans

  I am running a C program in NetBeans (cygwin on windows). Generally for all C programs I have run in the past, while debugging, it stops and shows the line number of segmentation fault. But for this particular program, it does not show the line number and just stops and in the output tab, it shows prog stopped by SIGSEGV. I have tried conditional breakpoint, but it is not stopping. What could be the other conditions for error?   Hi, I'm taking some information from some variables I have already defined outside this function to create a html svg text box. Here is the function which is causing me trouble: RenderTextBox:function() { alert('this.x: ' + this.x); alert('this.y: ' + this.y); this.textBox = paper.text(this.x, this.y, this.htmlTextBox); } The alerts works prefectly, and prompt me with the values expected. However, the final line which is supposed to create the text box puts them nowhere to be seen. Does anybody know why? If I replace 'this.x, this.y..' with numerical values in the final line of the function, the text box is placed correctly. It's only when I use the 'this.x' and 'this.y' that I have issues.

How can I get the file "D:\MyProject\bin\MyFile.db" in the SQLite Command Line Shell i.e, how can I locate the file "MyFile.db" in the command shell to get the data from "MyTable".

  I can't solve it: You are given 8 integers: A, B, C representing a line on a plane with equation A*x + B*y = C a, b, c representing another line x, y representing a point on a plane The two lines are not parallel therefore divide plane into 4 pieces. Point (x, y) lies inside of one these pieces. Problem: Write a fast algorithm that will find a point with integer coordinates in the same piece as (x,y) that is closest to the cross point of the two given lines. Note: This is not a homework, this is old Euler-type task that I have absolutely no idea how to approach. Update: You can assume that the 8 numbers on input are 32-bit signed integers. But you cannot assume that the solution will be 32 bit.

What might be the reason for this error? Is there any other PHP module that is to be installed? Or is there any alternate method for preg_match?

A sample line that I might need to tokenise is f 11/65/11 16/70/16 17/69/17 I have a tokenisation method that splits strings into a vector as delimited by a string which may be useful static void Tokenise(const string& str, vector<string>& tokens, const string& delimiters = " ") The only way I can think of doing it is to tokenise with " " as a delimiter, remove the first item from the resulting vector, then tokenise each part by itself. Is there a good way to do this all in one?

• Eclipse: Double semi-colon on an import

  Using Eclipse, if I have an extra semicolon on an import line (not the last import line), I see a syntax error in the IDE. However, this compiles fine outside of the IDE (Maven in this case). Example: import java.util.ArrayList;; //notice extra semicolon import java.util.List; Does anyone else see this behavior? Why is this showing as a syntax error? I am working with someone who keeps pushing these this to source control and it is irritating me (they clearly aren't using Eclipse). Full disclosure... I am using SpringSource Tool Suite 2.8.0.

  i would like to write a simple line of code, without resorting to if statements, that would evaluate whether a number is within a certain range. i can evaluate from 0 - Max by using the modulus. 30 % 90 = 30 //great however, if the test number is greater than the maximum, using modulus will simply start it at 0 for the remaining, where as i would like to limit it to the maximum if it's past the maximum 94 % 90 = 4 //i would like answer to be 90 it becomes even more complicated, to me anyway, if i introduce a minimum for the range. for example: minimum = 10 maximum = 90 therefore, any number i evaluate should be either within range, or the minimum value if it's below range and the maximum value if it's above range -76 should be 10 2 should be 10 30 should be 30 89 should be 89 98 should be 90 23553 should be 90 is it possible to evaluate this with one line of code without using if statements?

While shifting from c++ to java we come across the differences between these two Compilation process being one of them. 1.A major difference between a compiler and interpreter is that compiler compiles the whole code at once and displays all the errors at a time whereas an interpreter interprets line by line. 2.Also a compiler takes a less time to compile a code when compared to an interpreter. When java was developed for more advanced and easy features and implementations why has it been restricted to a interpreter based on above facts? Is there any special reason why this is so? If yes what is it?

  Hello, I am writing an web app which needs to subscribe to multiple channels via javascript. I am using Atmosphere and Jersey as backend. However the jQuery plugin they work with only supports 1 channel. I've start buidling my own implementation. Now it works oke, but when i try to subscribe to 2 channels only 1 channel gets notified. Is the XMLHttpRequest blocking the rest of the XMLHttpRequests? • When can argv[0] have null ?

  What I have understand about passing arguments to main() from command line is that argc has a minimum value of 1 and argv[0] will always have the program name with its path in it. If arguments are provided at the command line, then argc will have a value greater than one and argv1 to argv[argc-1] will have those arguments. Now a paragraph at this link says that argv[0] will be a string containing the program's name or a null string if that is not available. Now, how and when can argv[0] have null string? I mean program name with its path will always be available so when can it be null? Writer says that "if that is not available" but when and how it is possible that program name will not be available? • What power do I have over my license?

  Say for example, I've written some code under GPL 3. My company wants to use that code for a commercial product. Am I allowed to then say to them that they can use it under LGPL/MIT or any other license? If so, would I then have to change the included header at the top of each file? If so, what is stopping someone else from changing the license on my code?
