  How do I accumulate values in t-SQL? AFAIK there is no ARRAY type. I want to reuse the values like demonstrated in this PostgreSQL example using array_agg(). SELECT a[1] || a[i] AS foo ,a[2] || a[5] AS bar -- assuming we have >= 5 rows for simplicity FROM ( SELECT array_agg(text_col ORDER BY text_col) AS a ,count(*)::int4 AS i FROM tbl WHERE id between 10 AND 100 ) x How would I best solve this with t-SQL? • Git push origin master

  I am new to git and recently set up a new account with github. I'm following a rails tutorial from Michael Hartl online ( http://www.railstutorial.org/book#fig:github_first_page ) and followed his instructions to set up my git which were also inline with the setup instructions at github. Anyways, the "Next Steps" section on github were: mkdir sample_app cd sample_app git init touch README git add README git commit -m 'first commit' git remote add origin [email protected]:rosdabos55/sample_app.git git push origin master I got all the way to the last instruction (git push origin master) without any problem. When I entered that last line into my terminal, however, I got this error message: "fatal: No path specified. See 'man git-pull' for valid url syntax." What might I be doing wrong?

The most common use for this tool is when performing consolidation of existing systems onto virtualization enabled platforms, in addition to that we can use the Physical-to-Virtual (P2V) capability  for other tasks for example backup your physical system and move them into virtualized operating system environment hosted on the Disaster Recovery (DR) site another option can be building an Oracle Solaris 10 image repository with various configuration and a different software packages in order to reduce provisioning time.Oracle Solaris ZonesOracle Solaris Zones is a virtualization and partitioning technology supported on Oracle Sun servers powered by SPARC and Intel processors.This technology provides an isolated and secure environment for running applications.   Since someone here is a bit hot-headed and deleted my last question ill post a new one with a title to better please his ego...Hows this Michael? Anyways, im getting this error when i compile: Undefined symbols: "_OBJC_CLASS_$_SortedItems", referenced from: __objc_classrefs__DATA@0 in SortedByNameTableDataSource.o ld: symbol(s) not found collect2: ld returned 1 exit status Basically i followed apples "TheElements" sample app to create the singleton, tableview datasource and just changed some stuff around to suit my needs - ive triple checked all my code and cannot figure out why im getting this.. If anyone can help please do, it would be much appreciated. if more of my code is needed ill post.. let me know

But I keep getting InvalidCastException Unable to cast object of type 'Db4objects.Db4o.Reflect.Generic.GenericObject' to type 'Pilot' What's the correct way to use DB4o?

  Recently, I was confused by the std::map operator[] function. In the MSDN library, it says: "If the argument key value is not found, then it is inserted along with the default value of the data type." I tryed to search much more exactly explanation for this issue. For example here: std::map default value In this page, Michael Anderson said that "the default value is constructed by the default constructor(zero parameter constructor)". Now my quest comes to this:"what the default value for the build-in type?". Was it compiler related? Or is there a standard for this issue by the c++ stardard committee? I did a test on visual studio 2008 for the "int" type, and found the "int" type is construted with the value 0.

  The first error is a warning for complier 'com.apple.compilers.gcc.4_0' I don't know if this is okay and I can just not worry about it. The second tells me that my entitlements file is no longer at that location. I know this and I thought I had correctly updated it in Xcode's info window. This project builds fine in Xcode.   I was reading about the new concurrent collection classes in .NET 4 on James Michael Hare's blog, and the page talking about ConcurrentQueue<T> says: It’s still recommended, however, that for empty checks you call IsEmpty instead of comparing Count to zero. I'm curious - if there is a reason to use IsEmpty instead of comparing Count to 0, why does the class not internally check IsEmpty and return 0 before doing any of the expensive work to count? E.g.: public int Count { get { // Check IsEmpty so we can bail out quicker if (this.IsEmpty) return 0; // Rest of "expensive" counting code } } It seems strange to suggest this if it could be "fixed" so easily with no side-effects?

  I know the title reeks of confusion, and some of you might assume I am just wondering about how the computer boots in general, but I'm not. But I'll sort this out for you people now: 1.Onboard firmware is how mostly all modern computer devices work, whether or not with EFI/UEFI(even without "onboard firmware", older computers still employed bank switching, or similar methods with snap-in firmware, cartridges, etc.) 2.On startup there is no "programs" running in the traditional sense yet, i.e. no kernel, OS, user-applications; all of the instructions, especially the very first instruction, is specified by the Instruction Pointer, I am guessing. How is the IP/PC/etc. set to first point to an address for a BIOS/firmware/etc. instruction, and how do the BIOS instructions map themself out in memory prior to startup? 3.Aside from MMIO, BIOS uses certain RAM addresses to have instructions. The big ? comes in when I ask this ... how does BIOS do this? Conclusion: I am assuming that with the very first instruction there is an initial hardware setup for BIOS prior to complete OS bootup. What I want to know is if it's hardware engineered to always work this way, if there's another step in this bootup method I am missing, a gap of information I am unaware of, or how this all works from the very first instruction, and the RAM data itself.

This was published in 2007, however, and the newer reviews say it is not very helpful.   I'm working on a map that has multiple markers on it. These markers use a custom icon, but I'd also like to add numbers on top. I've seen how this has been accomplished using older versions of the API. How can I do this in V3? *Note -- the "title" attribute creates a tooltip when you mouseover the marker, but I want something that will be layered on top of the custom image even when you're not hovering on top of it.   I am using the title helper from the 3.2 edition of the Ruby on Rails Tutorial by Michael Hartl and just realized a snag with the & character showing up in the title as &Amp instead. The relevant snippet of code is here Official Sample App 2nd Edition The problem. I have a School model and am using the School name on the Show view as follows: <% provide(:title, @school.name) %> If my School has a & in the name, it is being replaced with &Amp in the browser title. Ryan Bates Railscasts site has a similiar title helper that solves this issue this way but it is using content_for instead of provide. Trying to adjust the Rails Tutorial helper, but having trouble getting it work properly. Works great expect for this issue.

  I am looking for an example of how to use the new DataServiceState Save and Restore methods in a WP7 application in order to tombstone a datacontext - I cannot find any examples and the approach I used resulted in an exception this saves the data context correctly PhoneApplicationService.Current.State["DataContext"] = DataServiceState.Save(this.Model.Entities); this attempts to restore it after the app is re-activated var dc = (PhoneApplicationService.Current.State["DataContext"] as DataServiceState).Restore(); but throws an exception An item could not be added to the collection. When items in a DataServiceCollection are tracked by the DataServiceContext, new items cannot be added before items have been loaded into the collection. This is the same exception I get if I try to reload a datacontext that I stored "directly" (without using the DataServiceState.Save method) in the PhoneApplicationService.Current.State. I understand the reasoning behind doing this, but it's still cumbersome to have to remember to do this.   Hello everyone, I have an application that queries data from a mongoDB using the mongoDB C# driver something like this: public void main() { foreach (int i in listOfKey) { list.add(getObjectfromDB(i); } } public myObject getObjFromDb(int primaryKey) { document query = new document(); query["primKey"] = primaryKey; document result= mongo["myDatabase"]["myCollection"].findOne(query); return parseObject(result); } On my local (development) machine to get 100 object this way takes less than a second. However, I recently moved the database to a server on the internet, and this query takes about 30 seconds to execute for the same number of object. Furthermore, looking at the mongoDB log, it seems to open about 8-10 connections to the DB to perform this query. So what I'd like to do is have the query the database for an array of primaryKeys and get them all back at once, then do the parsing in a loop afterwards, using one connection if possible.   So I have this list, we'll call it listA. I'm trying to get the [3] item in each list e.g. ['5.01','5.88','2.10','9.45','17.58','2.76'] in sorted order. So the end result would start the entire list over again with Santa at the top. Does that make any sense? • Backward compatibility in dlls

  Hi I do have three dlls. a.dll - released many years ago b.dll - released not so many years c.dll - released shortly Each one contains the same function - unfortunatelly with different parameters. so I do have the following Methods aMethod(param1) aMethod(param1, param2) aMethod(param1, param2, param3) My Task is to make a new dll (or new dlls) wich is backward compatible. But as far as I've learned from Google there is no possibility to overload methods in a dll. Does any one have a tip how I can solve this problem elegantly? -- Michael
