    I am making an server control application ( simple with some buttons to start/stop the server ) And when the user wants to close the application there will be prompted an confirm box. But when I start the application and close it with the X button or with "Close Window" I will be prompted with the question until I click on no, then it will close. It's a loop and it stops when you first click on yes then on no. Can someone help me with solving this ?

    I've a document search page with three listboxes that allow multiple selections. They're: Category A Year Category B Only category A is mandatory, the others are optional parameters and might be empty. Each document can belong to multiple options in Category A and multiple options Category B but each document only has one year associated with it. I've kind of got this working through building up a dynamic SQL string but it's messy and I hate using it so I thought I'd ask here if anyone could see an easier way of doing this. An example of the kind of dynamic SQL query i end up with follows: select * from library where libraryID in (select distinct libraryID from categoryAdocs where categoryAdocID in (4)) or year in (2004)

    Hello I've been trying several things from Google to POST data to a web server, but none of them work: I'm still stuck at how to convert the variables into the request, considering that the second variable is an SQL query so it has spaces. Does someone know the correct way to use a WebClient to POST data? I'd rather use WebClient because it requires less code than HttpWebRequest/HttpWebResponse.     I'm scanning a text document for certain installed programs on a computer and looking for an easy way to include a greater or less than variable in the string I'm scanning for. Here is a very ugly and cumbersome example of what I'm using currently and while it works as a temporary fix, isn't practical or sustainable.     Hi. The idea was to create a message box that stores my user name, message, and post datetime into the database as messages are sent. Soon came to realise, what if the user changed his name?     Hello! I have a webbrowser control in my program and what I want to do is to delete all the cookies stored in my computer. The problem is that for example I'm in some site, and then I decide I want to delete all the cookies, so I do it by the command "Kill()" but the problem is that the cookies remain and this site still can recognize me, and to complete the kill command I need to close my program and enter it again. The webbrowser control uses Internet Explorer, and I think when you enter IE it somehow loads all the cookies into it so if you delete your cookies, they remain there. So I'm wondering how can I delete my cookies, completely delete them without the need to close my program and enter it once again. Any help will be appreciated!

I cannot seem to figure it out, and maybe it is not possible, but I would like to do something like: FOREACH Month As TimeSpan in ContractRange.Months Do Calculations (Month.Start, Month.End) NEXT Is this possible or do I need to calculate the number of months, and just iterate through the amount of months and calculate the start/end of that month based on my index?

  • Compiling a click-once app that requires administrator?

    Hi, a lot of my programs require the ability to write files to the hard drive. When I first made these programs for XP they worked great. Now I'm less ignorant about UAC (got a new laptop recently). And for future customers...I've noticed the potential for a LOT of annoying error messages....and quite frankly if the program can't write data to the hard drive or thumb drive it's on...there's no point to running it.... I've tried multiple times to build in the manifest a requirement for administrator or user access....I'm not sure if anything less would solve the problem...but have failed because click-once has security features in place to prevent me from doing so. I'd rather not have to tell my customers how to make the program run as an administrator by editing the file's properties...I'd much rather have a convenient pop up like what you'd see new programs such as Itunes or Filezilla show if they were in conflict with UAC requesting the privileges they need. I'd really like to do this but have had little success. Any and all advice that can remedy this grievous problem appreciated. Thanks.

I have it working now except for when I insert the first bit of text it does not take me to the right portion of the alphabet. Example: If I enter Ne my drop down returns Nlabama Arkansas Notice the "N" from Ne and the "labama" from "Alabama" As I type the third character New, then the jQuery returns the "N" section of the results.   • Parse multiple named command line parameters

    I need to add the ability to a program to accept multiple named parameters when opening the program via the command line. i.e. program.exe /param1=value /param2=value and then be able to utilize these parameters as variables in the program. I have found a couple of ways to accomplish pieces of this, but can't seem to figure out how to put it all together. I have been able to pass one named parameter and recover it using the code below, and while I could duplicate it for every possible named parameter, I know that can't be the preffered way to do this. I need to be able to pass a random subset of parameters each time. Ultimately, what I would like to be able to do, is separate each argument and value, and load it into a multidimentional array for later use. I know that I could find a way to do this by separating the string at the "=" and stripping the "/", but as I am somewhat new to this, I wanted to see if there was a "preffered" way for dealing with multiple named parameters?
