    Hi, Anyone know how I can add a marker to an image (not a map) in Javascript? Ideally I'd like a handler that behaves much like adding a marker to a map - i.e. onclick causes a marker to be displayed at the point that was clicked, and returns the x/y pixel coordinates of the point that was clicked.     Is it possible to specify a relative path reference in connectionstring, attachDbFileName property in a web.config? For example, In my database is located in the App_data folder, I can easily specify the AttachDBFilename as|DataDirectory|\mydb.mdf and the |Datadirectory| will automatically resolve to the correct path. Now, suppose that web.config file is located in A folder, but the database is located in B\App_data folder, where A and B folder is located in the same folder. Is there anyway to use relative path reference to resolve to the correct path?

    Is it possible to detect changes in the base64 encoding of an object to detect the degree of changes in the object. Suppose I send a document attachment to several users and each makes changes to it and emails back to me, can I use the string distance between original base64 and the received base64s to detect which version has the most changes. Would that be a valid metric? If not, would there be any other metrics to quantify the deltas?

    Is it possible to display the WinForms "font picker" dialog non-modally? Or is there another font picker other than the standard one that can be used non-modally? Our application has many windows, and users who frequently need to interrupt what they are doing and switch to another window to look at something. This tends to lead to "buried dialog" scenarios with modal dialogs, where the UI is unresponsive, but it isn't immediately apparent why, because the modal dialog that has captured the focus is behind another window.

  • LyX - breaking long formula lines

    How can I break long formulas in LyX into two (or more) lines? I know how to write several lines of equations in one "math box" but I'm looking for a solution to break lines even in the middle of a parenthesis. I'm using LyX 1.6.4 and currently, when the formula is too big, it doesn't do anything (it just doesn't print the last segment of it, which is "beyond" the page). Is this possible in LyX?

One source said my.cnf another said my.conf, but neither of those files exist on my drive. Is it possible I need to create such a file?
