• How to Iterate a Resharper Template ?.

  I have a small Resharper Template I have written for Null check of a function Parameter (C#). Check.IsNotNull($param$, "$param$"); - Suggest Parameter - #1 I can now null check the function paramters one by one. But I want to be able to null check all the paramters at once through a template. Is it Possible in Resharper?. Is there someting like a "$Foreach" using which I can loop through parameter variables and write the code to check them one by one ?. (without writing out the foreach into the code) I see that the "Alt + Ins" does something similar. (Taking all Properties on the class and making them as parameters of a constructor). So hoping that there's a way out.

• Best way to handle enable/disable of UIButtons on iPhone

  I have an increase button and a decrease button, both of which affect a variable. The variable has a minimum and the decrease button will be disabled once that minimum is reached. Likewise for the maximum value of the variable. In my controller, I have two IBActions for both the increase and decrease actions, and two IBOutlets, in order to disable the buttons accordingly. At the bottom of my KVO statement to handle the value change, I have: increaseButton.enabled = value != MAX; decreaseButton.enabled = value != MIN; While this code is functional, I can't help but feel that feel this is a naive approach to the problem, especially since this requires 4 connections. Is there a better solution to this, one that uses fewer connections?

• Weird IF THAN not working with Requested data from URL text problem

  Hey all, i am checking for an internet connection by checking for a file on my server. The file only has the word LIVE displayed on the page. No HTML or anything else is there, just the word LIVE. When i run this code, i do get the NSLog as saying "LIVE" but once i go to check it with the IF statement, it fails and i just do not know why???   I'd like to use a windows powershell to run a batch file every x number of seconds. So it's the same batch file being run over and over again. I've done some looking but can't find what i'm looking for. It's for something that i want to run on a windows xp machine. Windows Schedular i've used lot of times before for somethign similar, but for some reason schedular only runs once.. then no more. i also don't want to have the batch file call itself, because it will error out after it runs so many times. thanks shannon

• EnumJobs not returning Copies & Total Pages

  I'm using Windows API's EnumJobs to find the PageCount and Copies of a print job, but I found that these fields are almost always zero when called on a print server. Although it could be my timing is out, because the number of pages increment as the job prints and once it's done the print job cannot be accessed. So there is about half a nanosecond when the values in EnumJobs is correct before it dissapears. I've been scouring the web but can't find any help on this, just other people with similar problems. Anybody with experience with EnumJobs or can suggest other means of determining the total number of pages printed?

  Look at this piece of code: MessageParser parser = new MessageParser(); for (int i = 0; i < 10000; i++) { parser.parse(plainMessage, user); } For some reason, it runs SLOWER (by about 100ms) than for (int i = 0; i < 10000; i++) { MessageParser parser = new MessageParser(); parser.parse(plainMessage, user); } Any ideas why? The tests were repeated a lot of times, so it wasn't just random. How could creating an object 10000 times be faster than creating it once?

• Escaping and unescaping a string with single and double quotes in Javascript

  I have a search box that a user can search for any string including single AND double quotes, once they have searched, the backend is passing the keyword back to me so I can put it back in the box. I don't know what the string is so I can't escape quotes myself, below is an example: var keyword = "hello"; $("#selectionkeywords").val(); The issue I am having is that if the user enters "hello" the keyword becomes ""hello"" and I get this error: missing ) after argument list [Break On This Error] jQuery("#selectionkeywords").val(""hello""); The user could also enter single quotes so that rules it out as well. I tried using escape unescape but I still have the same issue e.g. escape(""hello"") I could get the value in an unescaped format e.g. "hello" but I don't know what to do with it, escape doesn't work on it I end up with this %26%23034%3Bhello%26%23034%3B So I'm pretty much stuck at the moment as I can't do anything to the string, any ideas?

• OpenGL embedded in gtk has colour badly displayed

  Note that this is a re-write now that I have more clues as to where the problem could be... I am creating a GTK GUI which contains two embedded OpenGL displays. Both use the same shader code (complied once for each). On my normal hardware, this works fine. On a virtual machine running on the same hardware, I get horrible colours -- see images. I suspect that the shader code is at fault -- certainly dropping a simpler shader does make the problem moot. However, I do need both diffuse and spot lights in my shader thus making it non-trivial. Anyone has seen this before?

  Currently, if I change the locale setting of my application by Locale.setDefault(Locale.ENGLISH); Locale.setDefault(Locale.SIMPLIFIED_CHINESE); What I understand from this JFreeChart forum is that, I am not using correct font. Once you get the reference of the LegentTitle, you can set it to any font. Apparently, JFreeChart's default is "Tahoma" and it doesn't support Chinese characters. May I know, how I can programmatic determine, as list of available Fonts in my system, which support Chinese? I can hard code it to Serif (It fully support Chinese, doesn't it?), its look n feel doesn't looks good to me. I would like to have more choices.

• A couple problems re: CodeIgniter emailer

  I have some problems with the email system for CodeIgniter: First, the emails I send out (registration, confirmations) are getting caught in standard spam filters in gmail and other mail clients. How do I get around this? How do companies like Facebook get their emails through consistently? Second, the mailer is working locally but once we deploy it it no longer runs (doesn't send emails) but all the other forms run just fine. Anyone ever run into a problem like this? • How does Photoshop (Or drawing programs) blit?

  I'm getting ready to make a drawing application in Windows. I'm just wondering, do drawing programs have a memory bitmap which they lock, then set each pixel, then blit? I don't understand how Photoshop can move entire layers without lag or flicker without using hardware acceleration. Also in a program like Expression Design, I could have 200 shapes and move them around all at once with no lag. I'm really wondering how this can be done without GPU help. I don't think super efficient algorithms could justify that? Thanks

  Once I've mapped my domain in NHibernate, how can I reverse lookup those mappings somewhere else in my code? Example: The entity Pony is mapped to a table named "AAZF1203" for some reason. (Stupid legacy database table names!) I want to find out that table name from the NH mappings using only the typeof(Pony) because I have to write a query elsewhere. • Click Function on jQuery plugin only allows for single click

  I've created this simple plugin to add multiple animations on click but the problem is that once the object is clicked it can not repeat the animation by clicking again, i can't figure out why the added class is not removing itself after the click function is complete to allow it to be clicked again and repeat.. any suggestions? • Can I automatically attach to the lifecycle of ANY server-enabled HTML tag?

  If a "server-enabled" HTML tag is in a Web form, like this -- <p runat="server"/> -- is there any way for me to attach to its rendering? I assume once they have runat="server", they must have a lifecycle of some kind. I'd like to attach some code to the rendering of any HTML tag so enabled. So, whenever a template author puts runat="server" on a tag, I can catch the PreRender (or anything else) and execute some code. Possible?

• in jqgrid, how can i have the editform disappear after submit

  right now, when i click submit it sends a message to the server and updates the databased and refreshes the screen but it keeps the edit form popup on the screen.   I have a JUnit 4 test suite with BeforeClass and AfterClass methods that make a setup/teardown for the following test classes. What I need is to run the test classes also by them selves, but for that I need a setup/teardown scenario (BeforeClass and AfterClass or something like that) for each test class. The thing is that when I run the suite I do not want to execute the setup/teardown before and after each test class, I only want to execute the setup/teardown from the test suite (once).   Hello everyone: We know that malloc() and new operation allocate memory from heap dynamically, but where does heap reside? Does each process have its own private heap in the namespace for dynamic allocation or the OS have a global one shared by all the processes. What's more, I read from a textbook that once memory leak occurs, the missing memory cannot be reused until next time we restart our computer. Is this thesis right?   I have a query to find all the phone numbers that match a partial expression such as "ends with 234" @matchingphones = Calls.find :all, :conditions => [ "(thephonenumber LIKE ?)", "%234"] The same phone number might be in the database several times, and so might be returned multiple times by this query if it matches. What I need is to know is UNIQUE phone numbers the query returns. For example if the database contains 000-111-1234 * 000-111-3333 000-111-2234 * 000-111-1234 * 000-111-4444 the existing query will return the 3 records marked with * (eg returns one phone number -1234 twice since it's in the database twice) what I need is a query that returns just once instance of each match, in this case 000-111-1234 * 000-111-2234 *

  the App Store app and fairly a lot many apps display a view that says "Loading.." while the content is being retrieved. How can we do this? Should I remove the UITableView and call addSubView and then once the data is available, add the tableview back? Or is there any other shortcut? • Understanding CGI and SQL security from the ground up

  This question is for learning purposes. Suppose I am writing a simple SQL admin console using CGI and Python. At http://something.com/admin, this admin console should allow me to modify a SQL database (i.e., create and modify tables, and create and modify records) using an ordinary form. In the least secure case, anybody can access http://something.com/admin and modify the database. You can password protect http://something.com/admin. But once you start using the admin console, information is still transmitted in plain text. So then you use HTTPS to secure the transmitted data. Questions: To describe to a learner, how would you incrementally add security to the least secure environment in order to make it most secure? How would you modify/augment my three (possibly erroneous) steps above? What basic tools in Python make your steps possible? Optional: Now that I understand the process, how do sophisticated libraries and frameworks inherently achieve this level of security?

  Question 1 Do vertex buffer objects created under a certain VAO deleted once that VAO is deleted? The reason I'm asking is that I saw a few examples over the web that didn't delete those buffer objects. Question 2 What is the maximum amount of memory that I can allocate for buffer objects? It must be system dependent of course, but I can't seem find an estimation for it. What happens when video RAM isn't big enough? How would I know?
