• Externalize Javascript in YAP

  I am working on a Yahoo! App which requires certain external Javascript Frameworks to be loaded and used. Also in the Yahoo! App Best Practices Guide, it is also mentioned that the sources should be externalized, however, externalization isn't working for me. I am using the standard procedure to load the external JS file like the following: <script src="http://www.google.com/js/nxsl.1.js"></script> But the above statement is giving me an error that external sources are not allowed. Is there any way to use external JS files as I don't want to include all of my JS Login inline, it doesn't make sense to me and majorly my code won't be re-usable. Any thoughts ?

• FileNotFound Exception when using TestDriven.NET and NUnit

  I'm Writing a simple pong game in C# and XNA 4.0 to learn unit testing. The tools used are TestDriven.NET and NUnit, all newest versions. The problem is, if I test the code with VS2010 internal debugger, everything runs fine, but when I use "Run Test(s)" from menu, the application chokes with error: Test 'WindowsGame1.Game1.TestGameMenu' failed: Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Content.ContentLoadException : Error loading "SpaceBackground". File not found. ----> System.IO.FileNotFoundException : Error loading "Content\SpaceBackground.xnb". File not found. (some more below...) So it stops when the first textre is going to be loaded. • SharpSSH gets stuck in an infinite stream read in C# SSH app

  Afternoon all, I'm having a small problem with the SharpSSH library for .Net (see http://www.tamirgal.com/blog/page/SharpSSH.aspx) SshStream ssh = new SshStream("some ip address", "some username", "some password"); ssh.Prompt = "\n"; ssh.RemoveTerminalEmulationCharacters = true; ssh.Write("ssh some ip address"); // Don't care about this response ssh.ReadResponse(); ssh.Write("lss /mnt/sata[1-4]"); // Don't care about this response (for now) ssh.ReadResponse(); // while the stream can be read while (ssh.CanRead) { Console.WriteLine(ssh.ReadResponse()); } ssh.Close(); As you can see, it's fairly straight forward. However, when the while-loop gets stepped into, it won't break out of the loop when everything has been printed to the console and there is nothing else to read. • .htacces file. Can I block access to a directory without blocking access to the files within it?

  I'm building a website, but I'm not entirely sure what to do with the .htaccess file. Say for example I have a folder called pages which holds all my pages, can i deny access to someone if they type in www.website.com/pages so that they can't see the directory? I've tried putting the .htaccess file in the pages folder with the "deny from all" line and although it denies access, it's also denying access to the actual pages. Is there a way to do this without denying access to see the pages on the website, just denying access to the directory? Sorry if this doesn't make much sense, I'm so confused lol. Thanks for any help.

• C builder RAD 2010 RTL/VCL Application->Terminate() Function NOT TERMINATING THE APPLICATION

  Hello, I have problem descriebed also here: http://www.delphigroups.info/3/9/106748.html I have tryed almost all forms of placing Application-Terminate() func everywhere in the code, following and not 'return 0', 'ExitProcess(0)', 'ExitThread(0)', exit(0). None working variant closes the app. Instead the code after Application-Terminate() statement is running. I have two or more threads in the app. I tryed calling terminate func in created after execution threads and in main thread. Also this is not related (as i can imagine) with CodeGuard / madExcept (i have turned it off and on, no effect). CodeGuard turning also did not do success. What i should do to terminate all the threads in c builder 2010 application and then terminate the process? Thank you.

• How can I force asp.net webapi to always decode POST data as JSON

  I getting some json data posted to my asp.net webapi, but the post parameter is always coming up null - the data is not being serialized correctly. The method looks something like this: public HttpResponseMessage Post(string id, RegistrationData registerData) It seems the problem is that the client (which I have no control over) is always sending the content-type as x-www-form-urlencoded, even though the content is actually json. This causes mvc to try to deserialize as form data, which fails. Is there anyway to get webapi to always deserialize as json, and to ignore the content-type header?

  this seems to be a reoccurring issue: we receive a bug report for our software and with it tons of traces or logfiles. since finding errors is much easier when having a visualization of the log messages/events over time it is convenient to use a tool that can display the progression of events in a graph etc. (e.g. wireshark (http://www.wireshark.org) for analyzing network traffic) what tool do you use for such a purpose? the problem with most tools i used so far is that they mercilessly break down when you feed them huge data traces ( 1GB) so some criteria for such a tool would be: can deal with huge input files ( 1 GB) is really fast (so you don't have to get coffee while a file is loading) has some sort of filtering mechanism

  Having read Martin Fowlers "Feature Branch" and Flickrs "Flipping Out" (http://www.liip.to/flippingout) I guess there are a few guys out there who do: all (or most) development on Trunk release Trunk regularly (assuming updating your web site) not-yet-approved or not-yet-finished features should not be visible/have no impact on the regular user I've got 2 questions: granted - Flickr's article seems to work for "frontend code". But how is it cleaned up? Don't the ifs pile up? how does this work for the more "backend part"? Thinking of database changes, or model refactoring. Working with ifs doesn't seem to work - and copy-pasting classes for small adaptions also seems awkward. Are there any articles out there answering these 2 questions?

• Django openid authentication with google

  Hello I am looking into authenticating via google. I dont understand how it works:http://code.google.com/apis/accounts/docs/OpenID.html#Samples If i do that 2nd request by entering the data as one url with params into browser i get back XML file. Should i not get back sample response nr3? Can somebody explain this to me? The problem is, that im trying to sort through some third party app that uses google openid authentication and its not recieving authenticated users e-mail back, like in sample response 3. What I want to do is have the most recent post on my home page and have users navigate to www.mysite.com/blog to see all posts. I would also like to have a sidebar on the homepage with links to 10 most recent posts. Where should I start? Should I use wordpress or an asp.net engine? Should I use rss feeds to get information to homepage?

  I have a textField on my stage named 'adBuy', which when clicked I want to open up my browser with the defined in URL request. However when I click on the 'adBuy' textField on my SWF it opens Coda, the piece of software I'm using to write this small piece of code? I am puzzled. • Using sphinx to create context sensitive html help

  Hi all, I am currently using AsciiDoc (http://www.methods.co.nz/asciidoc/) for documenting my software projects because it supports pdf and html help generation. I am currently running it through cygwin so that the a2x tool chain functions properly. This works well for me but is a pain to setup on other windows computers. I have been looking for alternative methods and recently revisited Sphinx. Noticing that it now produces html help files I gave it a try and it seems to work well in the small tests I performed. My question is, is there a way to specify map id's for context sensitive help in the text so that my windows programs can call the proper help api and the file is launched and opened to the desired location? In AsciiDoc I am using "pass::[]". By using these constructs a context.h and alias.h are generated along with the other html help files (context sensitive help information).

  Dear All: Sorry this is probably a very simple question. I am using gradle http://www.gradle.org/ for my development environment. It works quite well! I have written a simple unit test that uses HtmlUnit and my own package. For my own package, I use java.util.Logger. HtmlUnit seems to use commons logging: http://htmlunit.sourceforge.net/logging.html I would like to see console output of my logging messages from java.util.Logger However, it seems that even messages at the info level are not displayed in my Unit Test Results GUI (System.err link), although the HtmlUnit messages are all displayed. • Using MySQL as data source in Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services

  Hi, I have installed the latest .net connector (http://www.mysql.com/downloads/connector/net/), I can add MySQL databases as Data Sources, I can even browse through the data from Business Intelligence Studio. The problem is that I CANNOT create a datasource view, or if I do create one without tables, trying to add them after the fact gives me the same error. Specifically it looks like the data source view wizard tries to submit queries against the MySQL database using square brackets/braces, and the query bombs. I get an error message like: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '[my_db].[cheatType]' at line 2 So, in summary, has anyone been able to create a data source view using MySQL tables and, if so, can they please show me how this can be done.   I'm looking for some software to monitor a single server for performance alerts. Preferably free and with a reasonable default configuration. Edit: To clarify, I would like to run this software on a Windows machine and monitor a remote Windows server for CPU/memory/etc. usage alerts (not a single application). Edit: I suppose its not necessary that this software be run remotely, I would also settle for something that ran on the server and emailed me if there was an alert. It seems like Windows performance logs and alerts might be used for this purpose somehow but it was not immediately obvious to me. • When/why does Internet Explorer block installation of a (signed) ActiveX control?

  When the user visits a page that contains a signed ActiveX control that has never been seen before, I'd expect IE to ask the user for permission to install the control. But sometimes IE puts up a security warning instead. For example, consider this site, which has a test control: http://www.pcpitstop.com/testax.asp I'd expect to get this message -- and sometimes, I do: "The website wants to run the following add-on: 'XXX' from 'YYY'. If you trust the the website and the add-on and want to allow it to run, click here..." But under IE8 on XP, I usually get this instead: "To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this site from showing certain content. Click here for options..." What's going on? Any ideas? Thanks!

• How do I get secure AuthSub session tokens in PHP ?

  I am using the Google/YouTube APIs to develop web application which needs access to a users YouTube account. Normal unsecure requests work fine and I can upgrade one time tokens to session tokens without any hassle. The problem comes when I try and upgrade a secure token to a session token, I get: ERROR - Token upgrade for CIzF3546351vmq_P____834654G failed : Token upgrade failed. Reason: Invalid AuthSub header. • PHP won't let page update automatically every day/6 hours

  A friend build a ranking system on his site and I am trying to host in on mine via wordpress and godaddy. It updates for him but when I load it to my site, it works for 6 hours, but as soon as the reload is supposed to occur, it errors and I get a 500 timeout error. • How can I enable Vista/Win 7 theming/style for a ToolTip control?

  In Windows Vista and Windows 7, ToolTips have a new visual style or theme, they are shiny grey metallic. How can I enable the new style for a ToolTip control? Some controls, like ListViews and ToolBars, use the new tooltips automatically, but other tooltips are rendered with the old yellow XP style. I've tried sending an TTM_SETWINDOWTHEME message but nothing happens and I'm not sure what string I am supposed to use for the visual style name. SetWindowTheme doesn't work either, I've used it successfully on ListViews and TreeViews to set the "Explorer" style (see http://www.danielmoth.com/Blog/TreeViewVista.aspx), but that doesn't seem to work on ToolTips. I'm using the plain win32 C API.
