  • Setting background-image with javascript

    In chrome, safari, and opera setting the background image to an absolute reference such as: "/images/image.png" changes it to "http://sitepath/images/image.png". It does not do this in firefox. Is there any way to avoid this behavior, or is it written into the browser's javascript engine? Using jquery to set the background-image also does this problem. The problem is that I am posting the HTML to a php script that needs the urls in this specific format. I know that setting the image path relative fixes this, but I can't do that. The only other alternative would be to use a regexp. to convert the urls. Thanks. If you are getting the listview item why does the code set the parameters of the item being retrieved, because if you already had the values there would be no need to retrieve them. Secondly near the comment "original" is the original line of code which will compile with a varning under embedded visual c++, but if you copy the exact same code into visual studio 2008 it will not compile. Since I did not write any of this code and am trying to learn is it possible the original author made a mistake on this line, since the *pRoot should point to and HKEY type yet he is casting to an HTREEITEM type which should never work since the data types don't match? (Side note someone with a better reputation should add a windows ce tag to SO since windows mobile is not the same as windows ce.)

I have the image appear and the submit button disappear - but nothing happens when I click on the image.   • Android onActivityResult is always 0

    This has been killing me for two days now. I have a main Activity A which calls a second Activity B. Activity B simply presents the user with a listview. When I press an item on the list view I want a couple of strings to be passed back to the main Activity A and Activiy B will finish. The problem is I always get a resultcode of 0 and the data bundle is null. I really don't understand why this is happening. Here is my code. Start Activity B for result; Test.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { @Override public void onClick(View v) { Intent i = new Intent(recipeActivity.this, BrowseLoadRecipes.class); startActivityForResult(i, RECIPE_CHOOSER); } }); This starts the second Activity fine. Activity B populates a listview and when I click an item I'm trying to send some data back to the calling Activity A. I've ran through the debug and the setResult is doing its job and the bundle does indeed have the data I'm passing, but it's lost at some point along the way. The problem is that the data contains non-ascii characters, so I need the following header to exist in the soap message: Content-Type="text/html; charset="utf-8" and the header that exists in the SOAP message is just: Content-Type="text/html" I know that it is fixed in suds 0.4, but it requires Python2.6 and I NEED Python2.5 because I use CentOS and it needs that version. So the question is: How could I change or add new HTTP headers to a SOAP message?

    Hello, Currently I have a a text file with data at the first row is formatted as follow: time;wave height 1;wave height 2;....... I have column until wave height 19 and rows total 4000 rows. Data in the first column is time in second. From 2nd column onwards, it is wave height elevation which is in meter. I would like to plot the follow: ![alt text][1] on the x axis is time. the left hand side is wave height in m and on the right hand side is the distance between each measurment in a model. inside the graph there are 4 plots, each plot is repersent waveight 1, wave height 2etc at a defined distance related to the right hand side y asix. How would you code this in matlab? I am a begineer, please if you could, it will be very useful to give a bit more explain in your answer! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!

  • Changing Color with LinearLayout and TextView in Java (Android)

    I'm a relatively new Android developer and I noticed what seems like an oddity to me that I'm hoping someone can explain. I have LinearLayout ll. This line of code fails for me when executed: ll.setBackgroundColor(R.color.white); However this line of code works: ll.setBackgroundResource(R.color.white); I assume its simply because I have white defined in my resources. However, I've also tried passing 0xFFFFFF in setBackgroundColor() and that doesn't work either. Similarly with my TextView text this line of code fails when executed: text.setTextColor(R.color.white); I can see my TextView so I know I initialized it correctly (like my LinearLayout which I can also see). So I guess my question boils down to: How do I properly use LinearLayout.setBackgroundColor() and TextView.setTextColor() ? Thanks a ton in advance. I've read through the docs and tried to find information online via googling and haven't come up with anything.

When I change "points.bean.pointsBase" to smth without dots in it's name - everything works! However, I can't change this name to anything else without dots, but I need to get a value?! I'm looking for a Perl solution to this problem, but I've not found one on CPAN or by searching Google. Any pointers?   • Problem in suspending 2 threads at the same time in MFC!

    I am learning about threading and multithreading..so i just created a small application in which i will update the progressbar and a static text using threading.I vl get two inputs from the user, start and end values for how long the loop should rotate.I have 2threads in my application. Thread1- to update the progressbar(according to the loop) the static text which will show the count(loop count). Thread2 - to update the another static text which will just diplay a name Basically if the user clicks start, the progressbar steps up and at the same time filecount and the name are displayed parallely. There's is another operation where if the user clicks pause it(thread) has to suspend until the user clicks resume. The problem is,the above will not work(will not suspend and resume) for both thread..but works for a singlw thread.
