    I'm stucking with some design techniques where I want to make image item box like this Where the actual image can be upto maximum height of 300px and width of 225px. The width and height of the item box including the image and the text is 190px x 190px I'm using this image http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7122/7424355198_72620895bd_m.jpg I tried using overflow: hidden for the image item to hide it's height below to show the image text.   • How do I make BeautifulSoup parse the contents of textarea tags as HTML?

    Before 3.0.5, BeautifulSoup used to treat the contents of <textarea as HTML. It now treats it as text. The document I am parsing has HTML inside the textarea tags, and I am trying to process it. I've tried: for textarea in soup.findAll('textarea'): contents = BeautifulSoup.BeautifulSoup(textarea.contents) textarea.replaceWith(contents.html(text=True)) But I'm getting errors. I can't find this in the documentation, and the alternative parsers aren't helping. Anyone know how I can parse the textareas as HTML?

  • Can anyone explain why this behaviour might be happening in Windows Forms?

    I'm developing a Windows Forms Application. See attached image for the Interface. Now I've put a close button (X) in the Panel(say Panel2) which has Application Constants as label.The first combo box is in another panel(say Panel1). Now when I click on the X button in Panel 2 I want the Panel to be invisible and the combo box text to be blank. Simple enough. So I write Panel2.visible=false; comboBox1.SelectedIndex=-1; When I click on X, the text in combo box goes blank, then I have to click again for the Panel2 to go invisible. Then I changed the sequence comboBox1.SelectedIndex=-1; Panel2.visible=fasle; and this works smooth. Not sure why this might be happening? Is there anything that I might be doing with my form design/code to have such a behaviour?

    When I replaceWith an element to bring one out of the DOM, then replaceWith it back in, events registered to it do not fire. I need to events to remain intact. Here's my Javascript: var replacement = $(document.createElement('span')); var original = $(this).replaceWith(replacement); replacement .css('background-color', 'green') .text('replacement for ' + $(this).text()) .click(function() { replacement.replaceWith(original); }); Live demo In the demo, when you click an element, it is replaced with another element using replaceWith. When you click the new element, that is replaced with the original element using replaceWith. However, the click handler does not work any more (where I would think it should).

    I'm using the qTip jQuery plugin to create dynamic tool tips. The tooltip sends an id to a cfc which runs a query and returns data in JSON format.   • Problem in suspending 2 threads at the same time in MFC!

    I am learning about threading and multithreading..so i just created a small application in which i will update the progressbar and a static text using threading.I vl get two inputs from the user, start and end values for how long the loop should rotate.I have 2threads in my application. Thread1- to update the progressbar(according to the loop) the static text which will show the count(loop count). Thread2 - to update the another static text which will just diplay a name Basically if the user clicks start, the progressbar steps up and at the same time filecount and the name are displayed parallely. There's is another operation where if the user clicks pause it(thread) has to suspend until the user clicks resume. The problem is,the above will not work(will not suspend and resume) for both thread..but works for a singlw thread.   • Why is FF on OS X loosing jQuery-UI in click event handler?

    In a web page using jQUery 1.7.1 and jQUery-UI 1.8.18, if I output $.ui in an alert box when the document is ready, I get [object Object]. However when using Firefox, if I output $.ui in a click event handler, I get 'undefined' as result. With other browsers (latest versions of IE, Chrome and Safari), the result is still [object Object] when clicking on the link. I want trigger this csv to be downloaded using Javascript. I'm considering two methods: 1) Setting location.href = /reportcsv 2) Setting an iframe url to /reportcsv Both seem to work in Safari. I was wondering if there is any difference between them, or if one is recommended over the other. My main requirement is that I don't want the user to leave the current page.

What method would one use to populate the drop down list? Since the data is not contained within the Model (It could be contained in the Model) should we be using Temp/View data? A HTML Helper?     Hey guys, I have a dilemma that I am uncertain about, as I not sure if it's is exactly possible for a Visual Studio Add-in to run its code automatically. I need an add-in that can run passively, like a logger for Visual Studios. However, the Exec method that I know so far can only execute commandbar functionality, but I need the code to execute when the user right-clicks, or select a line of text. I was able to make an automatic logger if i put my code in the "querystatus", but that would be considered bad programming, and it does not log when I simply select a piece of text. Does anyone know how to make a passive or automatic running code in Visual Studios?

When I check the millisecond conversion on the date everything is correct except for the month I have sent which is January instead of March.     Hello, I have a very strange problem which I will be very thankful if someone would help me with. I have a form that has a textarea whose content is later transferred to a page that has a line like this (using DOM with php to change data on an XML file): $dom-getElementsByTagName("page")-item($itemNum)-getElementsByTagName("lang")-item(1)-getElementsByTagName("text")-item(0)-firstChild-data=$_POST['rus0']; The XML file in question looks like this: The strange thing happens when I upload it to the server and try to input Russian text, in which case it erases the CDATA completely and results in And, weirdly, the thing works fine on my own server emulator (I'm using MAMP with php 5, the remote server also has php 5) - in my machine inputing Russian works fine. Any ideas what's going on in this?
