Sorting SQL query results in Java

Firstly my apologies for putting some large text here. Below is the result by executing SQL query in Java but I want it to short it out using timestamp. For eg. How to read a file line using php in a javascript variable without the breakline character ?

I have a txt file on the server which contains 10 lines of text. The text file is rewritten sometimes, and I get new lines using "\r\n". My problem shows when I want to load the lines in javascript variables. I do it like this, but this work only for numbers or for the last line of the file, because its not using the breakline tag: var x = '<?php echo $file[0]; ?>'; Ive tried to alert(x) but it`s not working.... (working only if I read the last line) Any idead ?

No download dialog with FileResult

I am returning File result from action triggered by the form post event. I can't get download dialog. Instead, if I use: return File(Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(reportPath), "text/plain", "Report.csv"); I get path to the file upon ajax execution in the target div. When I use return File(reportPath, "text/plain", "Report.csv"); I get content of the file in the target div. Any thoughts ? Alternative to latex / a way to typeset good looking documents from Java to PDF

I'm working on application in Java that will maintain database of song lyrics in plain text and print out some songbooks/chordbooks(that is create PDF file from selected songs). I was planing that the Java application will generate source code for pdflatex and after compiling this source user will get PDF file. Lately I've run into a lot of problems because of latex limitation: fixed memory size (some pictures will also be drawn to PDF) - error when exceeded, no way to query end of line or and of page dynamically, it's very hard to override latex placement algorithm in a complex way,... see also some my other questions regarding latex. I come to conclusion that latex is not good option for automated PDF generation. So I need replacement. I need to be able to typeset: Chords over lyrics when the lyrics are in variable char width so I need to be able to measure text width Chord diagrams that means I'll have to draw quite complex pictures Each song on separate double page Different fonts etc. Thanks for all answers

SWF (using XML) only working locally, not on home server or web hosting server

Hi, I use a main SWF file, which has some animations. It uses xml from a .php file which specifies several items, e.g. images and other SWFs to be used in the main SWF. Locally everything works perfectly, but when invoking it via my home server, or hosting provider it doesn't work anymore and I don't get why. All links are relative and correct. Somehow the main SWF doesn't load fully, or has problems with the XML from the .php file. The ActionScript from the main sWF can be found at samedomain as above/Actionscript_mainmovie.txt This also seems to work great. the function formattabs (line 68) uses some javascript. Locally the main SWF functions even without this hbx file which is located /cc-common/wss/hbx.js and use in the webpage actually. I haven't got a clue what's keeping the main SWF from working properly, because all other single SWFs work properly when invoked using a direct link. And this one just isn't working... Do I maybe need to add something in the php.ini file?? Any help would be appreciated!

identify documents from results of mahout clustering

I am using mahout to cluster text documents indexed using solr. I have used the "text" field in the document to form vectors. Then I used the k-means driver in mahout for clustering and then the clusterdumper utility to dump the results. I am having difficulty in understanding the output results from the dumper. I could see the clusters formed with term vectors in those clusters. But how do I extract the documents from these clusters. I want the result to be the input documents appearing in different clusters.

How do you convert date taken from a bash script to milliseconds in java program?

I am writing a piece of code in java that needs to take a time sent from a bash script and parse the time to milliseconds. When I check the millisecond conversion on the date everything is correct except for the month I have sent which is January instead of March. Here is the variable I create in the bash script, which later in the script I pass to the java program: TIME=`date +%m%d%Y_%H:%M:%S` Here is the java code which parses the time to milliseconds: String dt = "${scriptstart}"; java.text.SimpleDateFormat scriptStart = new java.text.SimpleDateFormat("MMDDyyyy_HH:mm:ss"); long start = scriptStart.parse(dt).getTime(); The goal of this statement is to find the elapsed time between the start of the script and the current system time. How to implement B+ Tree for file systems ?

I have a text file which contains some info on extents about all the files in the file system, like below C:\Program Files\abcd.txt 12345 100 23456 200 C:\Program Files\bcde.txt 56789 50 26746 300 ... Now i have another binary which tries to find out about extents for all the files. Now currently i am using linear search to find extent info for the files in the above mentioned text file. This is a time consuming process. Is there a better way of coding this ? Like Implementing any good data structure like BTree. If B+ Tree is used what is the key, branch factor i need to use ?

Hi, I would like to go through a table and look for a word, if that word appears, i would like to click on a radio button in the same row, but not the same column, then stop the loop. sub menu border calls onmouseout event

I've created a simple menu and submenu with tags(not allowed to use ul elements). To access the submenu the user hovers their mouse over the menu item. I use the onmouseover and onmouseout events to either show or hide the sub menu depending on which item is selected. A pipe (|) is used to seperate each submenu item and this is what is causing me problems. When a user hovers their mouse above the pipe character the subMenu div calls the onmouseout event which is not what I want. So I added padding around the pipe character and a minus margin so that there were no gaps between the pipe character and the other elements. This worked for all browsers including IE8. Using variables for colors in table cells

Using the variables extension, I want to change the background color of a cell in a table. So far I've done this: {{#vardefine:green|<span style="background:Green; color:White">text</span>}} The problem is that, when I add {{#var:green}} to the cell, only the text itself has a green background. Ideally, I want the whole cell to have a background color, like it does if I use this: | bgcolor="#ff00ff" | test or this | style="background:silver" |silver in the cell. Does anyone know how to solve this?

How to retain focus on an editable html after deleting an element.

Hello, I have a website with design mode on (aka. content editable = true) with some basic text on it. To that site I hooked up a shortcut so that at any point in the text I can insert an input box that serves me as an autocomplete. For that input however I want it to disappear right after I hit ENTER so that I can continue typing. It is an easy task to just make the input box disappear but I always loose focus from my document. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions on how to make this work?

Extract string that is delimited with constant and ends with two numbers (numbers have to be included)

I have a text that contains string of a following structure: text I do not care about, persons name followed by two IDs. I know that: a person's name is always preceded by XYZ code and that is always followed by two, space separated numbers. Name is not always just a last name and first name. It can be multiple last or first names (think Latin american names). So, I am looking to extract string that follows the constant XYZ code and that is always terminated by two separate numbers. You can say that my delimiter is XYZ and two numbers, but numbers need to be part of the extracted value as well. From blah, blah XYZ names, names 122322 344322 blah blah I want to extract: names, names 122322 344322 Would someone please advise on the regular expression for this that would work with Python's re package.

Struts2 form elements UI too rigid

I am using Struts2 with version 2.1.6. When I leave the input elements such as <s:textfield>, <s:textarea>, etc. of a <s:form> with the default theme, the elements are rendered as: <tr> <td class="tdLabel"><label for="firstname" class="label">Firstname:</label></td> <td><input type="text" name="firstname" id="firstname"/></td> </tr> <tr> <td class="tdLabel"><label for="lastname" class="label">Lastname:</label></td> <td><input type="text" name="lastname" id="lastname"/></td> </tr> Now if i want to add something, say an html label, between the two elements, the result gets messed up as described in the related question above. Another problem is: for the <s:checkbox> item, it is just not possible to add an extra title. For example, this tag <s:checkbox id="defaultprinter" name="defaultprinter" key="lbl.defaultprinter"/> is rendered as: <tr> <td valign="top" align="right"></td> <td valign="top" align="left"> <input type="checkbox" name="defaultprinter" value="true" checked="checked" id="defaultprinter"/> <label for="defaultprinter" class="checkboxLabel">Default Printer</label> </td> </tr> By only setting the attributes of <s:checkbox>, i can't add any text to the first <td> shown above (here it is empty!). Create directory using rake in windows

We were trying to run fllowing code in rake file: directory "tmp" file "hello.tmp" => "tmp" do sh "echo 'Hello' >> 'tmp/hello.tmp'" end We have taken this code from http://jasonseifer.com/2010/04/06/rake-tutorial But, since we are working on windows commands like'sh','echo' wont work.. according to the explanation given for the above code, it should first create a directory 'tmp' and then create a file 'hello.tmp' which will have 'hello' as its text.. Firstly, how can we do this for windows? and Secondly, a file with extension '.tmp' sounds quite wierd.. what does 'hello.tmp' specifies? Does it simply mean that 'hello.tmp' is a text file in 'tmp' directory?

In LaTeX, is there a way to get long lines along the margins?

I'm working on a report, and some elements are outside the margins (but some are just barely outside the margins). I was wondering: Is there a way to make two vertical lines, one on each side, along the margins so that one can easily see if it goes outside them? (Googling it, I only found information about margin notes.) A figure is below: |report text goes here| |more text goes also h|ere |and so on and so fort|h It would certainly make correcting these kinds of mistakes very trivial. :) Feel free to post answers that would solve/show this problem in a more "LaTeX-correct" way, if that makes any sense at all.

Google Map Web Service working on local but not online

Hi all, I have a problem with a Javascript request to the Google Map Api Web Service : if I have the HTML file on my computer it works, but it doesn't work online. Here's the code : url = 'http://maps.google.com/maps/api/geocode/json?address=Senador+Francisco+Quindimil+Y+Carabobo+Por+Carabobo,Ciudad+Autonoma+de+Buenos+Aires,Argentina&sensor=false'; $.get(url, function(data) { $('#result').html(data); alert('Load was performed.'); }, 'text'); This sample is just supposed to load the "data" in the "result" element.
