• Linux / C++: Get the IP Address of local computer

  This Question is almost the same as the previously asked Get the IP Address of local computer-Question. However I need to find the IP address(es) of a Linux Machine. So: How do I - programmatically in C++ - detect the IP addresses of the linux server my application is running on. The servers will have at least two IP addresses and I need a specific one (the one in a given network (the public one)). I'm sure there is a simple function to do that - but where? [EDIT] To make things a bit clearer: The server will obviously have the "localhost": 127.0.0.1 The server will have an internal (management) IP address: 172.16.x.x The server will have an external (public) IP address: 80.190.x.x I need to find the external IP address to bind my application to it. Obviously I can also bind to INADDR_ANY (and actually that's what I do at the moment). I would prefer to detect the public address, though.

• Date javascript object from IE cannot be automatically bound to Datetime in ASP.NET MVC

  Hi There, I have a site that uses a jquery calendar to display events. I have noticed than when using the system from within IE (all versions) ASP.NET MVC will fail to bind the datetime to the action that send back the correct events. The sequence of events goes as follows. Calendar posts to server to get events Server ActionMethod accepts start and end date, automatically bound to datetime objects In every browser other than IE the start and end date come through as: Mon, 10 Jan 2011 00:00:00 GMT When IE posts the date, it comes through as Mon, 10 Jan 2011 00:00:00 UTC ASP.NET MVC 2 will then fail to automatically bind this to the action method parameter. Is there a reason why this is happening? • Jquery and binding an event to an iframe

  **I'm currently using a jquery textselect plugin to fire alerts based on the selection text anywhere on the page and it works just fine doing something like: $(document).ready(function() { $(document).bind('textselect', function(e) { alert(e.text); }); }); I've since had to add an iframe to the page and I need the text selection to work on text within the iframe as well. • FileReference and HttpService Browse Image Modify it then Upload it

  Hello, I am trying to do an image uploader, user can: - browse local file with button.browse - select one and save it as a FileReference. - then we do FileReference.load() then bind the data to our image control. - after we make a rotation on it and change the data of image. - and to finish we upload it to a server. To change the data of image i get the matrix of the displayed image and transform it then i re-use the new matrix and bind it to my old image: private function TurnImage():void { //Turn it var m:Matrix = _img.transform.matrix; rotateImage(m); _img.transform.matrix = m; } Now the mater is that i really don't know how to send the data as a file to my server cause its not stored in the FileReference and data inside FileReference is readOnly so we can't change it or create a new, so i can't use .upload();. Then i tried HttpService.send but i can't figure out how you send a file and not a mxml.

• textures and vertex arrays with OpenGL?

  Basically what I'd like to do is make textured NGONS. I also want to use a tesselator (GLU) to make concave and multicontour objects. I was wondering how the texture comes into play though. I think that the tesselator will return verticies so I will add these to my array, that's fine. But my vertex array will contain more than one polygon object so then how can I tell it when to bind the texture like in immediate mode? Right now I feel stuck with one call to bind. How can this be done? Thanks

• Android Couchdb - libcouch and IPC Aidl Services

  I am working on a native CouchdDB app with android. Now just this week CouchOne released libcouch, described as "Library files needed to interact with CouchDB on Android": couchone_libcouch@Github It is a basic app that installs CouchDB if the CouchDB service (that comes with CouchDB if it was installed previously) can't be bound to. To be more precise, as I understand it: libcouch estimates CouchDb's presence on the device by trying to bind to a IPC Service from CouchDB and through that service wants communicate with CouchDB. It always attempts to install CouchDB from the market. This is because it never actually is able to bind to the CouchDBService. As I understand the purpose auf AIDL generated service interfaces, the actual service that intends to offer it's IPC to other applications should make use of AIDL. In this case the AIDL has been moved to the application that is trying to bind to the remote service, which is libcouch in this case. Reviewing the commits the AIDL files have just been moved out of that repository to libcouch. For complete linkage, here's the link to the Android CouchDB sources: github.com/couchone/libcouch-android Now, I could be completely wrong in my findings, it could also be lincouch's Manifest that s missing something, but I am really looking forward to get some answers!

  Hi, i have little dilemma, i often use data-bound controls such as Gridview in conjunction with ObjectDataSource. But i have two possible options when can i bind data to Gridview. The first is that i set datasourceid of gridview in aspx file and databind occurs in a moment before PreRender event occurs or i can set datasource in Page_Load event and databinding occurs immediately, something like this: protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { if (!IsPostBack) { testGridView.DataSource = testObjectDataSource.Select(); testGridView.DataBind(); } } I think that in second approach i have more control above databinding. But how it is in real programming life? Which of the above two options is commonly used? Or is there some third option how can i bind data to data-bound control? • WPF - Binding a variable in an already bound ListBox?

  I really don't know how to title this question, but I need some help with binding to a ListBox. I have an object, that contains (among other information) 2 properties that need to be bound in one ListBox. One of these is an ObservableCollection of objects, called Layers, and the other property holds an enum value of either Point, Line or Polygon, called SpatialType. These are to act as a legend to a map application. I have bound Layers to a ListBox, no problem, but inside the ListBox.ItemTemplate, I need to bind the single variable SpatialType to every Item in the ListBox. The problem I'm running into is that when I try to bind while inside the ListBox, the only variables I have access to are the properties of each Layer and I can't access any properties of the original bound class that holds the Layers (and the needed SpatialType property). What can I do to get that piece of information bound inside the ItemTemplate without messing up a good MVVM architecture?

I call the same BindPort method in client. Then a exception occurs at DataReceived method. I think there must be a problem that I don't close the UDP port properly. But how can i close the UDP socket properly and rebind to another one. Thanks.

It's ok to accept. So addListener will hold a function body containing 'apply'. But what I don't understand, when addListener is called, what kind of parameters it is going to have? particularly _method and args will always be uninitialized?

  There is currently this Prototype code that does a PUT: new Ajax.Request(someUrl, { method: 'put', parameters: { 'foo': bar }, onSuccess: function(response) { } .bind(this) }); I found this post but the solution uses an extra parameter supported by RoR, however I am targeting an ASP.NET backend. I searched a bit and found that not all browsers support PUT operations so apparently this could fail in certain browsers? This is already in prod, so a direct port would be fine for now I suppose. As an aside, what is the deal with the bind(this) in the onSuccess function?

• ComboBox WPF Databinding to a DataView

  Hello Everyone! Lets say I have one ComboBox and 2 TextBox items on my GUI. And I have one DataView with data (City, PostalCode, Street, ID). While initializing the whole thing I fill my DataView with some data :) City 1, 11111, Street 1, 1 City 1, 22222, Street 2, 2 City 1, 33333, Street 3, 3 Now I want to bind this to my ComboBox. DataView is a Class Member called "m_dvAdresses", but this code doesnt help: ItemsSource="{Binding Source=m_dvAdresses}" SelectedValuePath="ID" DisplayMemberPath="Street" Also I want to have my 2 ComboBox items to show PostalCode and City, depending on what to i pick in my ComboBox. Like if I pick "Street 2", TextBox1 show me "City 1" and TexBox2 show me "22222"... How can I bind all of them ONLY in the WPF code? Thanks for help!!!!!!!!!!! :)

• Monitoring UDP socket in glib(mm) eats up CPU time

  Hi, I have a GTKmm Windows application (built with MinGW) that receives UDP packets (no sending). The socket is native winsock and I use glibmm IOChannel to connect it to the application main loop. The socket is read with recvfrom. My problem is: this setup eats 25% percent CPU time on a 3GHz workstation. Can somebody tell me why? The application is idle in this case, and if I remove the UDP code, CPU usage drops down to almost zero. Does this explain the CPU effect, it's not clear to me? Whether or not I use glib to access the socket or call recvfrom() directly doesn't seem to make much difference, since CPU is used up before any packet arrives and the read handler gets invoked. Also glibmm docs state that it's ok to call recvfrom() even if the socket is polled (Glib::IOChannel::create_from_win32_socket()) I've tried compiling the program with -pg and created a per function cpu usage report with gprof. This wasn't usefull because the time is not spent in my program, but in some external glib/glibmm dll.

• jQuery Tablesorter - disabled headers show progress bar, sortEnd never triggered

  I'm combining Tablesorter's 'disable headers using options' function and the 'trigger sortStart / sortEnd' function and have run into an issue.
