  • What is your favourite online JavaScript reference manual? [closed]

    - by daniel.sedlacek
    I'm an object oriented programmer and am looking for a good JavaScript online reference manual. The ideal reference manual should contain: compendious, I'm not looking for ECMA standard reference. type specific, even if JavaScript is not strongly typed, function arguments and returns have a type. browser specific, no matter the standards every browser is different. contain examples be available online. What is your favorite online JavaScript reference manual?

  • Storing a pass-by-reference parameter as a pointer - Bad practice?

    - by Karl Nicoll
    I recently came across the following pattern in an API I've been forced to use: class SomeObject { public: // Constructor. SomeObject(bool copy = false); // Set a value. void SetValue(const ComplexType &value); private: bool m_copy; ComplexType *m_pComplexType; ComplexType m_complexType; }; // ------------------------------------------------------------ SomeObject::SomeObject(bool copy) : m_copy(copy) { } // ------------------------------------------------------------ void SomeObject::SetValue(const ComplexType &value) { if (m_copy) m_complexType.assign(value); else m_pComplexType = const_cast<ComplexType *>(&value); } The background behind this pattern is that it is used to hold data prior to it being encoded and sent to a TCP socket. The copy weirdness is designed to make the class SomeObject efficient by only holding a pointer to the object until it needs to be encoded, but also provide the option to copy values if the lifetime of the SomeObject exceeds the lifetime of a ComplexType. However, consider the following: SomeObject SomeFunction() { ComplexType complexTypeInstance(1); // Create an instance of ComplexType. SomeObject encodeHelper; encodeHelper.SetValue(complexTypeInstance); // Okay. return encodeHelper; // Uh oh! complexTypeInstance has been destroyed, and // now encoding will venture into the realm of undefined // behaviour! } I tripped over this because I used the default constructor, and this resulted in messages being encoded as blank (through a fluke of undefined behaviour). It took an absolute age to pinpoint the cause! Anyway, is this a standard pattern for something like this? Are there any advantages to doing it this way vs overloading the SetValue method to accept a pointer that I'm missing? Thanks!

  • Alright, I'm still stuck on this homework problem. C++

    - by Josh
    Okay, the past few days I have been trying to get some input on my programs. Well I decided to scrap them for the most part and try again. So once again, I'm in need of help. For the first program I'm trying to fix, it needs to show the sum of SEVEN numbers. Well, I'm trying to change is so that I don't need the mem[##] = ####. I just want the user to be able to input the numbers and the program run from there and go through my switch loop. And have some kind of display..saying like the sum is?.. Here's my code so far. #include <iostream> #include <iomanip> #include <ios> using namespace std; int main() { const int READ = 10; const int WRITE = 11; const int LOAD = 20; const int STORE = 21; const int ADD = 30; const int SUBTRACT = 31; const int DIVIDE = 32; const int MULTIPLY = 33; const int BRANCH = 40; const int BRANCHNEG = 41; const int BRANCHZERO = 42; const int HALT = 43; int mem[100] = {0}; //Making it 100, since simpletron contains a 100 word mem. int operation; //taking the rest of these variables straight out of the book seeing as how they were italisized. int operand; int accum = 0; // the special register is starting at 0 int counter; for ( counter=0; counter < 100; counter++) mem[counter] = 0; // This is for part a, it will take in positive variables in //a sent-controlled loop and compute + print their sum. • How do I mock a method with an open array parameter in PascalMock?

    - by Oliver Giesen
    I'm currently in the process of getting started with unit testing and mocking for good and I stumbled over the following method that I can't seem to fabricate a working mock implementation for: function GetInstance(const AIID: TGUID; out AInstance; const AArgs: array of const; const AContextID: TImplContextID = CID_DEFAULT): Boolean; (TImplContextID is just an alias for Integer) I thought it would have to look something like this: function TImplementationProviderMock.GetInstance( const AIID: TGUID; out AInstance; const AArgs: array of const; const AContextID: TImplContextID): Boolean; begin Result := AddCall('GetInstance') .WithParams([@AIID, AContextID]) .ReturnsOutParams([AInstance]) .ReturnValue; end; But the compiler complains about the .ReturnsOutParams([AInstance]) saying "Bad argument type in variable type array constructor.". Also I haven't found a way to specify the open array parameter AArgs at all. Also, is using the @-notation for the TGUID-typed parameter the right way to go? Is it possible to mock this method with the current version of PascalMock at all? Update: I now realize I got the purpose of ReturnsOutParams completely wrong: It's intended to be used for populating the values to be returned when defining the expectations rather than for mocking the call itself. I now think the correct syntax for mocking the out parameter would probably have to look more like this: function TImplementationProviderMock.GetInstance( const AIID: TGUID; out AInstance; const AArgs: array of const; const AContextID: TImplContextID): Boolean; var lCall: TMockMethod; begin lCall := AddCall('GetInstance').WithParams([@AIID, AContextID]); Pointer(AInstance) := lCall.OutParams[0]; Result := lCall.ReturnValue; end; The questions that remain are how to mock the open array parameter AArgs and whether passing the TGUID argument (i.e. a value type) by address will work out...

  • Using proxy models

    - by smallB
    I've created Proxy model by subclassing QAbstractProxyModel and connected it as a model to my view. I also set up source model for this proxy model. Unfortunately something is wrong because I'm not getting anything displayed on my listView (it works perfectly when I have my model supplied as a model to view but when I supply this proxy model it just doesn't work). Here are some snippets from my code: #ifndef FILES_PROXY_MODEL_H #define FILES_PROXY_MODEL_H #include <QAbstractProxyModel> #include "File_List_Model.h" class File_Proxy_Model: public QAbstractProxyModel { public: explicit File_Proxy_Model(File_List_Model* source_model) { setSourceModel(source_model); } virtual QModelIndex mapFromSource(const QModelIndex & sourceIndex) const { return index(sourceIndex.row(),sourceIndex.column()); } virtual QModelIndex mapToSource(const QModelIndex & proxyIndex) const { return index(proxyIndex.row(),proxyIndex.column()); } virtual int columnCount(const QModelIndex & parent = QModelIndex()) const { return sourceModel()->columnCount(); } virtual int rowCount(const QModelIndex & parent = QModelIndex()) const { return sourceModel()->rowCount(); } virtual QModelIndex index(int row, int column, const QModelIndex & parent = QModelIndex()) const { return createIndex(row,column); } virtual QModelIndex parent(const QModelIndex & index) const { return QModelIndex(); } }; #endif // FILES_PROXY_MODEL_H //and this is a dialog class: Line_Counter::Line_Counter(QWidget *parent) : QDialog(parent), model_(new File_List_Model(this)), proxy_model_(new File_Proxy_Model(model_)), sel_model_(new QItemSelectionModel(proxy_model_,this)) { setupUi(this); setup_mvc_(); } void Line_Counter::setup_mvc_() { listView->setModel(proxy_model_); listView->setSelectionModel(sel_model_); }

  • C++ overloading comparative operators for a MyString class

    - by Taylor Gang
    bool operator == (const MyString& left, const MyString& right) { if(left.value == right.value) return true; else return false; } bool operator != (const MyString& left, const MyString& right) { if(left == right) return false; else return true; } bool operator < (const MyString& left, const MyString& right) { if(strcmp(left.value, right.value) == -1) return true; else return false; } bool operator > (const MyString& left, const MyString& right) { if(strcmp(left.value, right.value) == 1) return true; else return false; } bool operator <= (const MyString& left, const MyString& right) { if(strcmp(left.value, right.value) == -1 || strcmp(left.value, right.value) == 0) return true; else return false; } bool operator >= (const MyString& left, const MyString& right) { if(strcmp(left.value, right.value) == 1 || strcmp(left.value, right.value) == 0) return true; else return false; } So these are my implemented comparison operators for my MyString class, they fail the test program that my professor gave me and could use some direction. Thanks in advance for any and all help I receive.

  • C++ Directx 11 D3DXVec3Unproject

    - by Miguel P
    Hello dear people from the underworld called the internet. So guys, Im having a small issue with D3DXVec3Unproject, because I'm currently using Directx 11 and not 10, and the requirements for this function is: D3DXVECTOR3 *pOut, CONST D3DXVECTOR3 *pV, CONST D3D10_VIEWPORT *pViewport, CONST D3DXMATRIX *pProjection, CONST D3DXMATRIX *pView, CONST D3DXMATRIX *pWorld As you may have noticed, it requires a D3D10_VIEWPORT, and I'm using a Directx 11 viewport, D3D11_VIEWPORT. So do you have any ideas how i can use D3DXVec3Unproject with Directx 11? Thank You

  • Is this a pattern? Should it be?

    - by Arkadiy
    The following is more of a statement than a question - it describes something that may be a pattern. The question is: is this a known pattern? Or, if it's not, should it be? I've had a situation where I had to iterate over two dissimilar multi-layer data structures and copy information from one to the other. Depending on particular use case, I had around eight different kinds of layers, combined in about eight different combinations: A-B-C B-C A-C D-E A-D-E and so on After a few unsuccessful attempts to factor out the repetition of per-layer iteration code, I realized that the key difficulty in this refactoring was the fact that the bottom level needed access to data gathered at higher levels. To explicitly accommodate this requirement, I introduced IterationContext class with a number of get() and set() methods for accumulating the necessary information. In the end, I had the following class structure: class Iterator { virtual void iterateOver(const Structure &dataStructure1, IterationContext &ctx) const = 0; }; class RecursingIterator : public Iterator { RecursingIterator(const Iterator &below); }; class IterateOverA : public RecursingIterator { virtual void iterateOver(const Structure &dataStructure1, IterationContext &ctx) const { // Iterate over members in dataStructure1 // locate corresponding item in dataStructure2 (passed via context) // and set it in the context // invoke the sub-iterator }; class IterateOverB : public RecursingIterator { virtual void iterateOver(const Structure &dataStructure1, IterationContext &ctx) const { // iterate over members dataStructure2 (form context) // set dataStructure2's item in the context // locate corresponding item in dataStructure2 (passed via context) // invoke the sub-iterator }; void main() { class FinalCopy : public Iterator { virtual void iterateOver(const Structure &dataStructure1, IterationContext &ctx) const { // copy data from structure 1 to structure 2 in the context, // using some data from higher levels as needed } } IterationContext ctx(dateStructure2); IterateOverA(IterateOverB(FinalCopy())).iterate(dataStructure1, ctx); } It so happens that dataStructure1 is a uniform data structure, similar to XML DOM in that respect, while dataStructure2 is a legacy data structure made of various structs and arrays. This allows me to pass dataStructure1 outside of the context for convenience. In general, either side of the iteration or both sides may be passed via context, as convenient. The key situation points are: complicated code that needs to be invoked in "layers", with multiple combinations of layer types possible at the bottom layer, the information from top layers needs to be visible. The key implementation points are: use of context class to access the data from all levels of iteration complicated iteration code encapsulated in implementation of pure virtual function two interfaces - one aware of underlying iterator, one not aware of it. use of const & to simplify the usage syntax.

  • help understanding differences between #define, const and enum in C and C++ on assembly level.

    - by martin
    recently, i am looking into assembly codes for #define, const and enum: C codes(#define): 3 #define pi 3 4 int main(void) 5 { 6 int a,r=1; 7 a=2*pi*r; 8 return 0; 9 } assembly codes(for line 6 and 7 in c codes) generated by GCC: 6 mov $0x1, -0x4(%ebp) 7 mov -0x4(%ebp), %edx 7 mov %edx, %eax 7 add %eax, %eax 7 add %edx, %eax 7 add %eax, %eax 7 mov %eax, -0x8(%ebp) C codes(enum): 2 int main(void) 3 { 4 int a,r=1; 5 enum{pi=3}; 6 a=2*pi*r; 7 return 0; 8 } assembly codes(for line 4 and 6 in c codes) generated by GCC: 6 mov $0x1, -0x4(%ebp) 7 mov -0x4(%ebp), %edx 7 mov %edx, %eax 7 add %eax, %eax 7 add %edx, %eax 7 add %eax, %eax 7 mov %eax, -0x8(%ebp) C codes(const): 4 int main(void) 5 { 6 int a,r=1; 7 const int pi=3; 8 a=2*pi*r; 9 return 0; 10 } assembly codes(for line 7 and 8 in c codes) generated by GCC: 6 movl $0x3, -0x8(%ebp) 7 movl $0x3, -0x4(%ebp) 8 mov -0x4(%ebp), %eax 8 add %eax, %eax 8 imul -0x8(%ebp), %eax 8 mov %eax, 0xc(%ebp) i found that use #define and enum, the assembly codes are the same. The compiler use 3 add instructions to perform multiplication. However, when use const, imul instruction is used. Anyone knows the reason behind that?

  • What does it mean to pass a &variable to a function? E.g., string& insert ( size_t pos1, const strin

    - by Bob Montgomery
    I understand passing a pointer, and returning a pointer: char * strcat ( char * destination, const char * source ); You're passing a variable that contains the address to a char; returning the same. But what does it mean to pass something using the reference operator? Or to return it? string& insert ( size_t pos1, const string& str ); I mean, I understand what actually happens, I just don't understand the notation. Why isn't the notation this instead: string * insert ( size_t pos1, const string * str ); //made up I presume it has something to do with passing/returning the instance of a class, but what? Is this syntax valid; if not why not and if so what does it mean? char & strcat ( char & destination, const char & source ); //made up (all of the function declarations, except the last made-up two, are from http://www.cplusplus.com )

  • RapidXML - does not compile ?

    - by milan
    Hi, I am novice to rapidXML but first impresion was not positive, I made simple Visual Studio 6 C++ Hello World Application and added RapidXML hpp files to project and in main.cpp I put: #include "stdafx.h" #include < iostream > #include < string > #include "rapidxml.hpp" using namespace std; using namespace rapidxml; int main ( ) { char x[] = "<Something>Text</Something>\0" ; //<<<< funktioniert, aber mit '*' nicht xml_document<> doc ; doc.parse<0>(x) ; cout << "Name of my first node is: " << doc.first_node()->name() << endl ; xml_node<>* node = doc.first_node("Something") ; cout << "Node 'Something' has value: " << node->value() << endl ; } And it does not compile, any help ? Is RapidXML possible to run with Visual Studio 6 ? Error I am getting are: --------------------Configuration: aaa - Win32 Debug-------------------- Compiling... rapidxml.cpp c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(310) : error C2039: 'size_t' : is not a member of 'std' c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(320) : error C2039: 'size_t' : is not a member of 'std' c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(320) : error C2039: 'size_t' : is not a member of 'std' c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(385) : error C2039: 'size_t' : is not a member of 'std' c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(639) : see reference to class template instantiation 'rapidxml::memory_pool<Ch>' being compiled c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(417) : error C2039: 'size_t' : is not a member of 'std' c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(639) : see reference to class template instantiation 'rapidxml::memory_pool<Ch>' being compiled c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(417) : error C2039: 'size_t' : is not a member of 'std' c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(639) : see reference to class template instantiation 'rapidxml::memory_pool<Ch>' being compiled c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(448) : error C2039: 'size_t' : is not a member of 'std' c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(639) : see reference to class template instantiation 'rapidxml::memory_pool<Ch>' being compiled c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(448) : error C2039: 'size_t' : is not a member of 'std' c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(639) : see reference to class template instantiation 'rapidxml::memory_pool<Ch>' being compiled c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(476) : error C2039: 'size_t' : is not a member of 'std' c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(639) : see reference to class template instantiation 'rapidxml::memory_pool<Ch>' being compiled c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(579) : error C2039: 'size_t' : is not a member of 'std' c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(639) : see reference to class template instantiation 'rapidxml::memory_pool<Ch>' being compiled c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(599) : error C2039: 'size_t' : is not a member of 'std' c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(639) : see reference to class template instantiation 'rapidxml::memory_pool<Ch>' being compiled c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(681) : error C2039: 'size_t' : is not a member of 'std' c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(790) : see reference to class template instantiation 'rapidxml::xml_base<Ch>' being compiled c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(700) : error C2039: 'size_t' : is not a member of 'std' c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(790) : see reference to class template instantiation 'rapidxml::xml_base<Ch>' being compiled c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(721) : error C2039: 'size_t' : is not a member of 'std' c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(790) : see reference to class template instantiation 'rapidxml::xml_base<Ch>' being compiled c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(751) : error C2039: 'size_t' : is not a member of 'std' c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(790) : see reference to class template instantiation 'rapidxml::xml_base<Ch>' being compiled c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(786) : error C2039: 'size_t' : is not a member of 'std' c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(790) : see reference to class template instantiation 'rapidxml::xml_base<Ch>' being compiled c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(787) : error C2039: 'size_t' : is not a member of 'std' c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(790) : see reference to class template instantiation 'rapidxml::xml_base<Ch>' being compiled c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(836) : error C2039: 'size_t' : is not a member of 'std' c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(876) : see reference to class template instantiation 'rapidxml::xml_attribute<Ch>' being compiled c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(856) : error C2039: 'size_t' : is not a member of 'std' c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(876) : see reference to class template instantiation 'rapidxml::xml_attribute<Ch>' being compiled c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(936) : error C2039: 'size_t' : is not a member of 'std' c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(1345) : see reference to class template instantiation 'rapidxml::xml_node<Ch>' being compiled c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(958) : error C2039: 'size_t' : is not a member of 'std' c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(1345) : see reference to class template instantiation 'rapidxml::xml_node<Ch>' being compiled c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(981) : error C2039: 'size_t' : is not a member of 'std' c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(1345) : see reference to class template instantiation 'rapidxml::xml_node<Ch>' being compiled c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(1004) : error C2039: 'size_t' : is not a member of 'std' c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(1345) : see reference to class template instantiation 'rapidxml::xml_node<Ch>' being compiled c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(1025) : error C2039: 'size_t' : is not a member of 'std' c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(1345) : see reference to class template instantiation 'rapidxml::xml_node<Ch>' being compiled c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(1045) : error C2039: 'size_t' : is not a member of 'std' c:\Parser\rapidxml.cpp(1345) : see reference to class template instantiation 'rapidxml::xml_node<Ch>' being compiled Error executing cl.exe. rapidxml.obj - 25 error(s), 0 warning(s)

  • handling refrence to pointers/double pointers using SWIG [C++ to Java]

    - by Siddu
    My code has an interface like class IExample { ~IExample(); //pure virtual methods ...}; a class inheriting the interface like class CExample : public IExample { protected: CExample(); //implementation of pure virtual methods ... }; and a global function to create object of this class - createExample( IExample *& obj ) { obj = new CExample(); } ; Now, I am trying to get Java API wrapper using SWIG, the SWIG generated interface has a construcotr like - IExample(long cPtr, boolean cMemoryOwn) and global function becomes createExample(IExample obj ) The problem is when i do, IExample exObject = new IExample(LogFileLibraryJNI.new_plong(), true /*or false*/ ); createExample( exObject ); The createExample(...) API at C++ layer succesfully gets called, however, when call returns to Java layer, the cPtr (long) variable does not get updated. Ideally, this variable should contain address of CExample object. I read in documentation that typemaps can be used to handle output parameters and pointer references as well; however, I am not able to figure out the suitable way to use typemaps to resolve this problem, or any other workaround. Please suggest if i am doing something wrong, or how to use typemap in such situation?

  • Tutorial on Using OpenSSL with pthreads

    - by Sadeq Dousti
    OpenSSL documents state that it can safely be used in multi-threaded applications provided that at least two callback functions are set, locking_function and threadid_func.... I've written programs which use OpenSSL API. Moreover, I know how to use pthreads. However, the OpenSSL documents are written in the form of a manual, and I can't see a step-by-step guide on what I have to do when using OpenSSL in a multi-threaded app. Is there a tutorial on using OpenSSL with pthreads? (I searched the web, but no satisfactory result appeared.) PS: I'm working in Debian Lenny & Ubuntu Lucid/Maverick. PS2: OpenSSL includes a sample, but it's far too complicated to start with.

  • Generic tree implementation in Java

    - by Ivan
    Is anyone aware of a generic tree (nodes may have multiple children) implementation for Java? It should come from a well trusted source and must be fully tested. It just doesn't seem right implementing it myself. Almost reminds me of my university years when we were supposed to write all our collections ourselves. EDIT: Found this project on java.net, might be worth looking into.

  • ASP.NET 2.0: Specifying an instance of an object for an ObjectDataSource

    - by Austin Salonen
    I'm using an ObjectDataSource to bind data to a GridView; it works fine except that it always creates a new object to use as a data source. I can do all the setup just fine but I cannot use an instance of an existing object to specify as the "data source" for it. Is it possible to do this? If so, how? If it's not possible, why? EDIT: Here's the gist of what's going on (object types changed): On the first page you are editting the attributes for a dog. One of the attributes is "has puppies" and if it's true, the next page you specify the names of those puppies. What's happening in my case is that those puppies are not getting linked to the original dog but to a "new" dog. (The implication that my problem is a "female dog" was coincidental. ;-) )

  • Passing char * into fopen with C.

    - by Rhys
    Hey there, I'm writing a program that passes data from a file into an array, but I'm having trouble with fopen (). It seems to work fine when I hardcode the file path into the parameters (eg fopen ("data/1.dat", "r");) but when I pass it as a pointer, it returns NULL. Note that line 142 will print "data/1.dat" if entered from command line so parse_args () appears to be working. 132 int 133 main(int argc, char **argv) 134 { 135 FILE *in_file; 136 int *nextItem = (int *) malloc (sizeof (int)); 137 set_t *dictionary; 138 139 /* Parse Arguments */ 140 clo_t *iopts = parse_args(argc, argv); 141 142 printf ("INPUT FILE: %s.\n", iopts->input_file); /* This prints correct path */ 143 /* Initialise dictionary */ 144 dictionary = set_create (SET_INITAL_SIZE); 145 146 /* Use fscanf to read all data values into new set_t */ 147 if ((in_file = fopen (iopts->input_file, "r")) == NULL) 148 { 149 printf ("File not found...\n"); 150 return 0; 151 } Thanks! • Weird error running com-exposed assembly

    - by Bernabé Panarello
    I am facing the following issue when deploying a com-exposed assembly to my client's. The COM component should be consummed by a vb6 application. Here's how it's done 1) I have one c# project which has a class with a couple of methods exposed to COM 2) The project has references to multiple assemblies 3) I compile the project, generating a folder (named dllcom) that contains the assembly plus all the referenced dlls 4) I include in the folder a .bat which does the following: regasm /u c:\dllcom\LibInsertador.dll del LibInsertador.tlb regasm c:\dllcom\LibInsertador.dll /tlb:c:\dllcom\LibInsertador.tlb /codebase c:\dllcom\ pause 5) After running the bat locally in many workstations of my laboratory, i'm able to consume the generated tlb from my vb6 application without any problems. I'm even able to update the dll by only means of running this bat, without having to recompile the vb6 application. I mean that im not having issues of vb6 fiding and invoking the exposed com object. The problem 6) I send the SAME FOLDER to my client 7) They execute the .bat locally, without any errors 8) They execute the vb6 application, vb6 finds the main assembly, the .net code seems to run correctly (it's even able to generate a log file) until it has to intantiate it's first referenced assembly. Then, they get the following exception: "Could not load type 'GYF.Common.TypeBuilder' from assembly 'GYF_Common, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'." Where "GYF.Common" is an assembly referenced by LibInsertador and TypeBuilder is a class contained in GYF.Common. GYF.Common is not a signed assembly and it's not in the GAC, just in the same folder with Libinsertador. According to .net reflector, the version is correct. ¿Any ideas about what could be happening?

  • Can I trigger PHP garbage collection to happen automatically if I have circular references?

    - by Beau Simensen
    I seem to recall a way to setup the __destruct for a class in such a way that it would ensure that circular references would be cleaned up as soon as the outside object falls out of scope. However, the simple test I built seems to indicate that this is not behaving as I had expected/hoped. Is there a way to setup my classes in such a way that PHP would clean them up correctly when the outermost object falls out of scope? I am not looking for alternate ways to write this code, I am looking for whether or not this can be done, and if so, how? I generally try to avoid these types of circular references where possible. class Bar { private $foo; public function __construct($foo) { $this->foo = $foo; } public function __destruct() { print "[destroying bar]\n"; unset($this->foo); } } class Foo { private $bar; public function __construct() { $this->bar = new Bar($this); } public function __destruct() { print "[destroying foo]\n"; unset($this->bar); } } function testGarbageCollection() { $foo = new Foo(); } for ( $i = 0; $i < 25; $i++ ) { echo memory_get_usage() . "\n"; testGarbageCollection(); } The output looks like this: 60440 61504 62036 62564 63092 63620 [ destroying foo ] [ destroying bar ] [ destroying foo ] [ destroying bar ] [ destroying foo ] [ destroying bar ] [ destroying foo ] [ destroying bar ] [ destroying foo ] [ destroying bar ] What I had hoped for: 60440 [ destorying foo ] [ destorying bar ] 60440 [ destorying foo ] [ destorying bar ] 60440 [ destorying foo ] [ destorying bar ] 60440 [ destorying foo ] [ destorying bar ] 60440 [ destorying foo ] [ destorying bar ] 60440 [ destorying foo ] [ destorying bar ]

  • Cannot add library in VC++ 2008: My System is Different

    - by jfm429
    Hopefully someone can tell me what's going on here. I'm trying to link to gdiplus.lib and I tried to go to "Properties - Linker - Input - Additional Dependencies" to add the library but I do NOT have that section. I'm using Visual C++ 2008. Here's what I see: Common Properties Framework and References Configuration Properties General Degugging C/C++ Librarian Resources XML Document Generator Browse Information Build Events Custom Build Step I've checked every subcategory and there is NOT a "Linker" section or an "Input" section. Once again, this is Visual C++ 2008 without any customizations or strange settings. I have a screenshot at http://drp.ly/13ma9l if anybody's interested. How come my Property panel is completely different than everyone else's? Typical Microsoft crap I suppose...
