    Hello, in C# I want to open explorer and in this explorer window must be selected some files. How to make that all files of arg would be selected, when explorer window is opened..?

    I'm using D2K9, Zeos 7Alpha, and Firebird 2.1 I had this working before I added the autoinc field. Although I'm not sure I was doing it 100% correctly. I don' know what order to do the SQL code, with the triggers, Generators, etc.. I've tried several combinations, I'm guessing I'm doing something wrong other than just that for this not to work.     I am working on a project that involves Spring Security ACL and I came across the create permission BasePermission.CREATE. Would someone please explain how this is supposed to work or what it allows someone to do? It is my understanding that each object has an acl, and each acl has many ace's, and each ace has an sid and a permission. How can you grant permission on an object to create it, if it must be created in order to attach the acl to it?

When I create the pdf document from a url - the images in the pdf document seems to be 256 colors. Does anyone know how I can set ABCpdf to create full color images. This works fine for the installation procedure. Unfortunately, InnoSetup will not create such a log file when I uninstall the application.     While developing a PHP+JS web application we always try to separate big blocks of code into small modules/components, in order to make these last ones as much reusable as possible in other applications. Let's say we now have: the EcommerceApp (an ecommerce main application) a Server-file-mgr component (a component to view/manage file on server) a Mylib (a library of useful functions) a MailistApp (another main application to handle mail lists) ... EcommerceApp needs both Server-file-mgr component and Mylib to work Server-file-mgr needs Mylib to work MaillistApp needs both Server-file-mgr component and Mylib to work too. My idea is to simply structure the SVN project folder tree putting everything at the same level: trunk/EcommerceApp trunk/Server-file-mgr trunk/Mylib trunk/MaillistApp But in real life to make these apps to work the folder tree structure must be the following: EcommerceApp |_ Mylib |_ Server-file-mgr MaillistApp |_ Mylib |_ Server-file-mgr I mean Mylib and Server-file-mgr needs to be inside the EcommerceApp/MaillistApp folder. How would you then structure the SVN folder, as I did or in a different/better/smarter way???

    I am trying to use MSBuild in a TFS Build file to create click once files for my application. According to MSDN (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms165431.aspx) it seems that the project file's click once settings should be used unless you override them with property arguments on the command line. However, even though I have specified (in VS) that some prerequisites should be bootstrapped in with the setup, they don't seem to get installed if I use the MSBuild command line to create the package, even though they do seem to get installed if I use Visual Studio to create the ClickOnce package. Please could someone advise me how to get my prerequisites to get installed via ClickOnce when the clickonce package is built using the MSBuild command line? For information, in Visual Studio, project properties, "Publish" tab, "Prerequisite" button, I have ticked "Create setup program to install prerequisite components", I have ticked my pre-requisites and I have specified "Download prerequisites from the component vendor's web site"

    I want to quickly find the total size of any folder using python. def GetFolderSize(path): TotalSize = 0 for item in os.walk(path): for file in item[2]: try: TotalSize = TotalSize + getsize(join(item[0], file)) except: print("error with file: " + join(item[0], file)) return TotalSize That's the simple script I wrote to get the total size of the folder, it took around 60 seconds (+-5 seconds). By using multiprocessing I got it down to 23 seconds on a quad core machine. Using the Windows file explorer it takes only ~3 seconds (Right click- properties to see for yourself). So is there a faster way of finding the total size of a folder close to the speed that windows can do it? Windows 7, python 2.6 (Did searches but most of the time people used a very similar method to my own) Thanks in advance.

    Before answering this question, understand that I am not asking how to create my own programming language, I am asking how, using vb.net code, I can create a compiler for a language like vb.net itself. Essentially, the user inputs code, they get a .exe. By NO MEANS do I want to write my own language, as it seems other compiler related questions on here have asked. I also do not want to use the vb.net compiler itself, nor do I wish to duplicate the IDE. The exact purpose of what I wish to do is rather hard to explain, but all I need is a nudge in the right direction for writing a compiler (from scratch if possible) which can simply take input and create a .exe. I have opened .exe files as plain text before (my own programs) to see if I could derive some meaning from what I assumed would be human readable text, yet I was obviously sorely disappointed to see the random ascii, though it is understandable why this is all I found. I know that a .exe file is simply lines of code, being parsed by the computer it is on, but my question here really boils down to this: What code makes up a .exe? How could I go about making one in a plain text editor if I wanted to? (No, I do not want to do that, but if I understand the process my goals will be much easier to achieve.) What makes an executable file an executable file? Where does the logic of the code fit in? This is intended to be a programming question as opposed to a computer question, which is why I did not post it on SuperUser. I know plenty of information about the System.IO namespace, so I know how to create a file and write to it, I simply do not know what exactly I would be placing inside this file to get it to work as an executable file. I am sorry if this question is "confusing", "dumb", or "obvious", but I have not been able to find any information regarding the actual contents of an executable file anywhere. One of my google searches Something that looked promising EDIT: The second link here, while it looked good, was an utter fail. I am not going to waste hours of my time hitting keys and recording the results. "Use the "Alt" and the 3-digit combinations to create symbols that do not appear on the keyboard but that you need in the program." (step 4) How the heck do I know what symbols I need??? Thank you very much for your help, and my apologies if this question is a nooby or "bad" one. To sum this up simply: I want to create a program in vb.net that can compile code in a particular language to a single executable file. What methods exist that can allow me to do this, and if there are none, how can I go about writing my own from scratch?
