  • WinRT ControlTemplate ItemsPanel

    - by user1427149
    I'm new to WinRT and am trying to create a standard gridview which has a group heading with a number of tiles beneath it. That bit is easy. I'm trying to modify it so that beneath the grid of tiles I can also add a footer using the containers style: <GridView x:Name="itemGridView" AutomationProperties.AutomationId="ItemGridView" AutomationProperties.Name="Grouped Items" Margin="116,0,40,46" ItemsSource="{Binding Source={StaticResource groupedItemsViewSource}}" ItemTemplate="{StaticResource Project200x200ItemTemplate}" SelectionMode="None" IsItemClickEnabled="True" ItemClick="ItemView_ItemClick"> <GridView.ItemsPanel> <ItemsPanelTemplate> <VirtualizingStackPanel Orientation="Horizontal"/> </ItemsPanelTemplate> </GridView.ItemsPanel> <GridView.GroupStyle> <GroupStyle> <GroupStyle.HeaderTemplate> <DataTemplate> <Grid Margin="1,0,0,6"> <Button AutomationProperties.Name="Group Title" Content="{Binding Name}" Click="Header_Click" Style="{StaticResource TextButtonStyle}" FontWeight="{Binding IsSelected, ConverterParameter=FontWeight, Converter={StaticResource BooleanToFontWeightConverter}}" /> </Grid> </DataTemplate> </GroupStyle.HeaderTemplate> <GroupStyle.Panel> <ItemsPanelTemplate> <VariableSizedWrapGrid Background="Red" Orientation="Vertical" Margin="0,0,40,0" /> </ItemsPanelTemplate> </GroupStyle.Panel> <GroupStyle.ContainerStyle> <Style TargetType="GroupItem"> <Setter Property="Template"> <Setter.Value> <ControlTemplate> <StackPanel> <ContentPresenter/> <ItemsPresenter/> <TextBlock Text="*** End of group ***"/> </StackPanel> </ControlTemplate> </Setter.Value> </Setter> </Style> </GroupStyle.ContainerStyle> </GroupStyle> </GridView.GroupStyle> </GridView> This almost works but after adding the container style, the grid of tiles no longer shows... the group header and 'End of group' textblock is showing, but I've lost the tile grid. Can anyone spot what I'm doing wrong...?

  • WPF Linear Fill

    - by Ben
    Hi, I have found some example code that creates a gradient fill in a WPF rectangle control: <Rectangle Height="{Binding ElementName=txtName}" Width="{Binding ElementName=txtName}"> <Rectangle.Fill> <LinearGradientBrush> <GradientStop Color="Silver" Offset="0.0" /> <GradientStop Color="Black" Offset="0.5" /> <GradientStop Color="white" Offset="1.0" /> </LinearGradientBrush> </Rectangle.Fill> </Rectangle> I have some written some code that displays a collection of ListBox's that contain details from MyObject: <UserControl.Resources> <DataTemplate x:Key="CustomerTemplate"> <Border BorderThickness="2" BorderBrush="Silver" CornerRadius="5" Padding="1" Height="50"> <Grid x:Name="thisGrid"> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="Auto" /> <ColumnDefinition Width="Auto" /> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal" > <Image Source="C:\MyImage.jpg" Height="50" Width="100" ></Image> </StackPanel> <Border Grid.Column="1" Margin="0" Padding="0"> <StackPanel Orientation="Vertical"> <TextBlock Name="txtName" Text="{Binding Name}" Background="Silver" Foreground="Black" FontSize="16" FontWeight="Bold" Height="25"/> </StackPanel> </Border> </Grid> </Border> </DataTemplate> </UserControl.Resources> <ListBox ItemsSource="{Binding}" ItemTemplate="{StaticResource CustomerTemplate}" Name="grdList" HorizontalContentAlignment="Stretch" VerticalContentAlignment="Stretch" > </ListBox> I would like to apply the same stlye of fill that i get with the first example, in each of my ListBox's. I can't quite figure out how to do this. Can anyone help? Thanks

  • Help with C# program design implementation: multiple array of lists or a better way?

    - by Bob
    I'm creating a 2D tile-based RPG in XNA and am in the initial design phase. I was thinking of how I want my tile engine to work and came up with a rough sketch. Basically I want a grid of tiles, but at each tile location I want to be able to add more than one tile and have an offset. I'd like this so that I could do something like add individual trees on the world map to give more flair. Or set bottles on a bar in some town without having to draw a bunch of different bar tiles with varying bottles. But maybe my reach is greater than my grasp. I went to implement the idea and had something like this in my Map object: List<Tile>[,] Grid; But then I thought about it. Let's say I had a world map of 200x200, which would actually be pretty small as far as RPGs go. That would amount to 40,000 Lists. To my mind I think there has to be a better way. Now this IS pre-mature optimization. I don't know if the way I happen to design my maps and game will be able to handle this, but it seems needlessly inefficient and something that could creep up if my game gets more complex. One idea I have is to make the offset and the multiple tiles optional so that I'm only paying for them when needed. But I'm not sure how I'd do this. A multiple array of objects? object[,] Grid; So here's my criteria: A 2D grid of tile locations Each tile location has a minimum of 1 tile, but can optionally have more Each extra tile can optionally have an x and y offset for pinpoint placement Can anyone help with some ideas for implementing such a design (don't need it done for me, just ideas) while keeping memory usage to a minimum? If you need more background here's roughly what my Map and Tile objects amount to: public struct Map { public Texture2D Texture; public List<Rectangle> Sources; //Source Rectangles for where in Texture to get the sprite public List<Tile>[,] Grid; } public struct Tile { public int Index; //Where in Sources to find the source Rectangle public int X, Y; //Optional offsets }

  • How I can locate element depend on it value?

    - by Nikolay Kulakov
    I have some table: Title 1 | Title 2 | Title 3 | -------------------------------------------------- string value 1 | string value 2 | string value 3 | -------------------------------------------------- string value 4 | string value 5 | string value 6 | and some step: "And click on its < name", where < name can be anything from first column. So, how I can found needed element and click on its? • Programmatically Binding to a Property

    - by M312V
    I know it's a generic title, but my question is specific. I think it will boil down to a question of practice. So, I have the following code: public class Component : UIElement { public Component() { this.InputBindings.Add(new MouseBinding(SomeCommandProperty, new MouseGesture(MouseAction.LeftClick))); } } I could easily aggregate the ViewModel that owns SomeCommandProperty into the Component class, but I'm currently waiving that option assuming there is another way. Component is a child of ComponentCollection which is child of a Grid which DataContext is the ViewModel. ComponentCollection as the name suggests contains a collection of Components. <Grid Name="myGrid"> <someNamespace:ComponentCollection x:Name="componentCollection"/> </Grid> It's the same scenario as the XAML below, but with TextBlock. I guess I'm trying to replicate what's being done in the XAML below programatically. Again, Component's top most ancestor's DataContext is set to ViewModel. <Grid Name="myGrid"> <TextBlock Text="SomeText"> <TextBlock.InputBindings> <MouseBinding Command="{Binding SomeCommandProperty}" MouseAction="LeftClick" /> </TextBlock.InputBindings> </TextBlock> </Grid> Update 1 Sorry, I'm unable to comment because I lack the reputation points. Basically, I have a custom control which inherit from a Panel which children are a collection of Component. It's not a hack, like I've mentioned, I could directly have access to SomeCommandProperty If I aggregate the ViewModel into Component. Doing so, however, feels icky. That is, having direct access to ViewModel from a Model. I guess the question I'm asking is. Given the situation that Component's parent UIElement's DataContext is set to ViewModel, is it possible to access SomeCommandProperty without Component owning a reference to the ViewModel that owns SomeCommandProperty? Programatically, that is. Using ItemsControl doesn't change the fact that I still need to bind SomeCommandProperty to each Items.

  • How to merge two test into one RSpec

    - by thefonso
    Both the last two test work individually...but when both are set to run (non pending) I get problems. question: can I create a test that merges the two into one? How would this look?(yes, I am new to rspec) require_relative '../spec_helper' # the universe is vast and infinite....and...it is empty describe "tic tac toe game" do context "the game class" do before (:each) do player_h = Player.new("X") player_c = Player.new("O") @game = Game.new(player_h, player_c) end it "method drawgrid must return a 3x3 game grid" do @game.drawgrid.should eq("\na #{$thegrid[:a1]}|#{$thegrid[:a2]}|#{$thegrid[:a3]} \n----------\nb #{$thegrid[:b1]}|#{$thegrid[:b2]}|#{$thegrid[:b3]} \n----------\nc #{$thegrid[:c1]}|#{$thegrid[:c2]}|#{$thegrid[:c3]} \n----------\n 1 2 3 \n") @game.drawgrid end #FIXME - last two test here - how to merge into one? it "play method must display 3x3 game grid" do STDOUT.should_receive(:puts).and_return("\na #{$thegrid[:a1]}|#{$thegrid[:a2]}|#{$thegrid[:a3]} \n----------\nb #{$thegrid[:b1]}|#{$thegrid[:b2]}|#{$thegrid[:b3]} \n----------\nc #{$thegrid[:c1]}|#{$thegrid[:c2]}|#{$thegrid[:c3]} \n----------\n 1 2 3 \n").with("computer move") @game.play end it "play method must display 3x3 game grid" do STDOUT.should_receive(:puts).with("computer move") @game.play end end end just for info here is the code containing the play method require_relative "player" # #Just a Tic Tac Toe game class class Game #create players def initialize(player_h, player_c) #bring into existence the board and the players @player_h = player_h @player_c = player_c #value hash for the grid lives here $thegrid = { :a1=>" ", :a2=>" ", :a3=>" ", :b1=>" ", :b2=>" ", :b3=>" ", :c1=>" ", :c2=>" ", :c3=>" " } #make a global var for drawgrid which is used by external player class $gamegrid = drawgrid end #display grid on console def drawgrid board = "\n" board << "a #{$thegrid[:a1]}|#{$thegrid[:a2]}|#{$thegrid[:a3]} \n" board << "----------\n" board << "b #{$thegrid[:b1]}|#{$thegrid[:b2]}|#{$thegrid[:b3]} \n" board << "----------\n" board << "c #{$thegrid[:c1]}|#{$thegrid[:c2]}|#{$thegrid[:c3]} \n" board << "----------\n" board << " 1 2 3 \n" return board end #start the game def play #draw the board puts drawgrid #external call to player class @player = @player_c.move_computer("O") end end player_h = Player.new("X") player_c = Player.new("O") game = Game.new(player_h, player_c) game.play

  • Why I Love the Social Management Platform I Use

    - by Mike Stiles
    Not long ago, I asked the product heads for the various components of the Oracle Social Cloud’s SRM to say what they thought was coolest about their component. And while they did a fine job, it was recently pointed out to me that no one around here uses the platform in a real-world setting more than I do, as I not only blog and podcast my brains out, I also run Oracle Social’s own social properties. Of course I’m pro-Oracle Social’s product. Duh. But if you can get around immediately writing this off as a puff piece, there are real reasons beyond my employment that the Oracle SRM works for me as a community manager. If it didn’t, I could have simply written about something else, like how people love smartphones or something genius like that. Post Grid I like seeing what I want to see. I’m difficult that way. Post grid lets me see all posts for all channels, with custom columns showing me how posts are doing. I can filter the grid by social channel, published, scheduled, draft, suggested, etc. Then there’s a pullout side panel that shows me post details, including engagement analytics. From the pullout, I can preview the post, do a quick edit, a full edit, or (my favorite) copy a post so I can edit it and schedule it for other times so I don’t have to repeat from scratch. I’m not lazy, just time conscious. The Post Creation Environment Given our post volume, I need this to be as easy as it can be. I can highlight which streams I want the post to go out on, edit for the individual streams, maintain a media library that’s easy to upload to and attach from, tag posts, insert links that auto-shorten to an orac.le shortlink, schedule with a nice calendar visual, geo-target, drop photos inline into Twitter, and review each post. Watching My Channels The Engage component of the Oracle SRM brings in and drops into a grid the activity that’s happening on all my channels. I keep this open round-the-clock. Again, I get to see only what I want; social network, stream, unread messages, engagement by how I labeled them, and date range. I can bring up a post with a click, reply, label it, retweet it, assign it, delete it, archive it, etc. So don’t bother trying to be a troll on my channels. Analytics Social publishing and engaging 24/7 would be pretty unrewarding if I couldn’t see how our audience was responding. Frankly, I get more analytics than I know what to do with (I’m a content creator, not a data analyst). But I do know what numbers I care about, and they’re available by channel, date range, and campaigns. I’m seeing fan count, sources and demographics. I’m seeing engagement, what kinds of posts are getting engagement, and top engagers. I’m seeing my reach, both organic and paid. I’m seeing how individual posts performed in terms of engagement and virality, and posting time/date insight. Have I covered all the value propositions? I’ve covered pathetically few of them. It would be impossible in blog length to give shout-outs to the vast number of features and functionalities. From organizing teams and managing permissions with Workflow to the powerful ability to monitor topics (and your competition) across the web in Listen, it’s a major, and increasingly necessary, weapon in your social marketing arsenal. The life of a Community Manager is not for everybody. So if the Oracle SRM can actually make a Community Manager’s life easier, what’s not to love? I invite you to take a look at and participate in our Oracle Social Cloud social channels! • WPF TreeView MouseDown

    - by imekon
    I've got something like this in a TreeView: <DataTemplate x:Key="myTemplate"> <StackPanel MouseDown="OnItemMouseDown"> ... </StackPanel> </DataTemplate> Using this I get the mouse down events if I click on items in the stack panel. However... there seems to be another item behind the stack panel that is the TreeViewItem - it's very hard to hit, but not impossible, and that's when the problems start to occur. I had a go at handling PreviewMouseDown on TreeViewItem, however that seems to require e.Handled = false otherwise standard tree view behaviour stops working. Ok, Here's the source code... MainWindow.xaml <Window x:Class="WPFMultiSelectTree.MainWindow" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:local="clr-namespace:WPFMultiSelectTree" Title="Multiple Selection Tree" Height="300" Width="300"> <Window.Resources> <!-- Declare the classes that convert bool to Visibility --> <local:VisibilityConverter x:Key="visibilityConverter"/> <local:VisibilityInverter x:Key="visibilityInverter"/> <!-- Set the style for any tree view item --> <Style TargetType="TreeViewItem"> <Style.Triggers> <DataTrigger Binding="{Binding Selected}" Value="True"> <Setter Property="Background" Value="DarkBlue"/> <Setter Property="Foreground" Value="White"/> </DataTrigger> </Style.Triggers> <EventSetter Event="PreviewMouseDown" Handler="OnTreePreviewMouseDown"/> </Style> <!-- Declare a hierarchical data template for the tree view items --> <HierarchicalDataTemplate x:Key="RecursiveTemplate" ItemsSource="{Binding Children}"> <StackPanel Margin="2" Orientation="Horizontal" MouseDown="OnTreeMouseDown"> <Ellipse Width="12" Height="12" Fill="Green"/> <TextBlock Margin="2" Text="{Binding Name}" Visibility="{Binding Editing, Converter={StaticResource visibilityInverter}}"/> <TextBox Margin="2" Text="{Binding Name}" KeyDown="OnTextBoxKeyDown" IsVisibleChanged="OnTextBoxIsVisibleChanged" Visibility="{Binding Editing, Converter={StaticResource visibilityConverter}}"/> <TextBlock Margin="2" Text="{Binding Index, StringFormat=({0})}"/> </StackPanel> </HierarchicalDataTemplate> <!-- Declare a simple template for a list box --> <DataTemplate x:Key="ListTemplate"> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Name}"/> </DataTemplate> </Window.Resources> <Grid> <!-- Declare the rows in this grid --> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition Height="Auto"/> <RowDefinition/> <RowDefinition Height="Auto"/> <RowDefinition/> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <!-- The first header --> <TextBlock Grid.Row="0" Margin="5" Background="PowderBlue">Multiple selection tree view</TextBlock> <!-- The tree view --> <TreeView Name="m_tree" Margin="2" Grid.Row="1" ItemsSource="{Binding Children}" ItemTemplate="{StaticResource RecursiveTemplate}"/> <!-- The second header --> <TextBlock Grid.Row="2" Margin="5" Background="PowderBlue">The currently selected items in the tree</TextBlock> <!-- The list box --> <ListBox Name="m_list" Margin="2" Grid.Row="3" ItemsSource="{Binding .}" ItemTemplate="{StaticResource ListTemplate}"/> </Grid> </Window> MainWindow.xaml.cs /// <summary> /// Interaction logic for MainWindow.xaml /// </summary> public partial class MainWindow : Window { private Container m_root; private Container m_first; private ObservableCollection<Container> m_selection; private string m_current; /// <summary> /// Constructor /// </summary> public MainWindow() { InitializeComponent(); m_selection = new ObservableCollection<Container>(); m_root = new Container("root"); for (int parents = 0; parents < 50; parents++) { Container parent = new Container(String.Format("parent{0}", parents + 1)); for (int children = 0; children < 1000; children++) { parent.Add(new Container(String.Format("child{0}", children + 1))); } m_root.Add(parent); } m_tree.DataContext = m_root; m_list.DataContext = m_selection; m_first = null; } /// <summary> /// Has the shift key been pressed? They make sure the TextBlock is displayed when not editing, and the TextBox is displayed when editing.

  • jQuery jqGrid TreeGrid not functionining properly

    - by Raul Agrait
    Hello. I am having trouble constructing a jqGrid TreeGrid using local data. This method works just fine as a regular grid if you comment out the treeGrid and ExpandColumn attributes, but once you add those to try to make it a tree grid, it doesn't create the tree grid, and it no longer sorts properly. jQuery(function(){ var gridOptions = { datatype: "local", height: 250, colNames: ['Name', 'Type', 'Last Modified On', 'Last Modified By'], colModel: [{name: 'name', index: 'name', width: 200, sorttype: 'text'}, {name: 'type', index: 'type', width: 200, sorttype: 'text'}, {name: 'modifiedon', index: 'modifiedon', width: 200, sorttype: 'date'}, {name: 'modifiedby', index: 'modifiedby', width: 200, sorttype: 'text'}], treeGrid: true, ExpandColumn: 'name', caption: "My Grid" }; jQuery("#treeGrid").jqGrid(gridOptions); var gridData = [ {name: "My File", type: "My File Type", modifiedon: "03/10/2010", modifiedby"Strong Sad", lft: "1", rgt: "8", level: "0"}, {name: "One of Everything", type: "Word Document", modifiedon: "02/12/2009", modifiedby: "Strong Bad", lft: "2", rgt: "5", level: "0"}, {name: "My Presentation", type: "PowerPoint", modifiedon: "01/23/2009", modifiedby: "The Cheat", lft: "3", rgt: "4", level: "0"} ]; for (var i = 0; i < gridData.length; i++) { jQuery("#treeGrid").jqGrid('addRowData', i + 1, gridData[i]); } });

  • Listview of items from a object selected in another listview

    - by Ingó Vals
    Ok the title maybe a little confusing. I have a database with the table Companies wich has one-to-many relotionship with another table Divisions ( so each company can have many divisions ) and division will have many employees. I have a ListView of the companies. What I wan't is that when I choose a company from the ListView another ListView of divisions within that company appears below it. Then I pick a division and another listview of employees within that division appaers below that. You get the picture. Is there anyway to do this mostly inside the XAML code declaritively (sp?). I'm using linq so the Company entity objects have a property named Division wich if I understand linq correctly should include Division objects of the divisions connected to the company. So after getting all the companies and putting them as a itemsource to CompanyListView this is where I currently am. <ListView x:Name="CompanyListView" DisplayMemberPath="CompanyName" Grid.Row="0" Grid.Column="0" /> <ListView DataContext="{Binding ElementName=CompanyListView, Path=SelectedItem}" DisplayMemberPath="Division.DivisionName" Grid.Row="1" Grid.Column="0" /> I know I'm way off but I was hoping by putting something specific in the DataContext and DisplayMemberPath I could get this to work. If not then I have to capture the Id of the company I guess and capture a select event or something. Another issue but related is the in the seconde column besides the lisview I wan't to have a details/edit view for the selected item. So when only a company is selected details about that will appear then when a division under the company is picked It will go there instead, any ideas?

Calling the fade out: private void imgNext_MouseLeftButtonDown(object sender, MouseButtonEventArgs e) { fadeOut(grdGeneral); } The fade out function: private void fadeOut(Grid pGrid) { Storyboard stb = new Storyboard(); DoubleAnimation da = new DoubleAnimation(); da.From = 1.0; da.To = 0.0; stb.Duration = new Duration(TimeSpan.FromSeconds(.75)); stb.Children.Add(da); Storyboard.SetTargetName(da, pGrid.Name); Storyboard.SetTargetProperty(da, new PropertyPath(Grid.OpacityProperty)); stb.Begin(); } I have been on a handful of tutorial sites and my code seems to follow the same order. I also have been on this stackoverflow question before you say repost. That question has to deal with mutlipages and I am merely trying to start a animation. • Set focus on textbox in WPF from view model (C#) & wPF

    - by priyanka.sarkar
    I have a TextBox and a Button in my view. Now I am checking a condition upon button click and if the condition turns out to be false, displaying the message to the user, and then I have to set the cursor to the text box control. if (companyref == null) { Lipper.Nelson.AdminClient.Main.Views.ContactPanels.CompanyAssociation cs = new Lipper.Nelson.AdminClient.Main.Views.ContactPanels.CompanyAssociation(); MessageBox.Show("Company does not exist.", "Error", MessageBoxButton.OK, MessageBoxImage.Exclamation); cs.txtCompanyID.Focusable = true; System.Windows.Input.Keyboard.Focus(cs.txtCompanyID); } The above code is in the view model. The CompanyAssociation is the view name. But the cursor is not getting set in the TextBox. The xaml is as under <igEditors:XamTextEditor KeyDown="xamTextEditorAllowOnlyNumeric_KeyDown" Name="txtCompanyID" ValueChanged="txtCompanyID_ValueChanged" Text="{Binding Company.CompanyId, Mode=TwoWay, UpdateSourceTrigger=PropertyChanged}" Width="{Binding ActualWidth, ElementName=border}" Grid.Column="1" Grid.Row="0" VerticalAlignment="Top" Margin="0,5,0,0" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" IsEnabled="{Binding Path=IsEditable}" /> <Button Template="{StaticResource buttonTemp1}" Command="{Binding ContactCommand}" CommandParameter="searchCompany" Content="Search" Width="80" Grid.Column="2" Grid.Row="0" VerticalAlignment="Top" Margin="0" HorizontalAlignment="Left" IsEnabled="{Binding Path=IsEditable}" /> Please help

  • silverlight master-detail with two listboxes in pure xaml with ria services throwing exception

    - by Sam
    Hi, I was trying to achieve master-detail with 2 ListBox, 2 DomainDataSource and a IValueConverter, when entering the page it throws the random error it does when your xaml is invalid: "AG_E_PARSER_BAD_PROPERTY_VALUE [Line: 24 Position: 61]" Which is in fact the start position of where I am binding the listbox selected item with converter to the parameter's value of my DomainDataSource. I would love to achieve this by pure xaml, I did it by code behind and that works but I don't like it :p When the parameter is a hard-coded integer 1, it works, so I assume it's the value binding My code is below here, thanks in advance for at least looking :) (taken into accound all the xmlns's & usings are correct) Xaml: <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot"> <Grid.Resources> <helpers:ListItemtoIdListValueConverter x:Key="mListConverter" /> </Grid.Resources> <riacontrols:DomainDataSource x:Name="GetLists" DomainContext="{StaticResource DbContext}" LoadSize="20" QueryName="GetLists" AutoLoad="True" /> <riacontrols:DomainDataSource x:Name="GetListItems" DomainContext="{StaticResource DbContext}" LoadSize="20" QueryName="GetListItemsById" AutoLoad="True"> <riacontrols:DomainDataSource.QueryParameters> <riadata:Parameter ParameterName="id" Value="{Binding ElementName=ListBoxLists, Path=SelectedItem, Converter={StaticResource mListConverter}}" /> </riacontrols:DomainDataSource.QueryParameters> </riacontrols:DomainDataSource> <activity:Activity IsActive="{Binding IsBusy, ElementName=ListBoxListItems}"> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal"> <ListBox x:Name="ListBoxLists" ItemsSource="{Binding Data, ElementName=GetLists, Mode=OneWay}" Width="150" Margin="0,0,10,10" /> <ListBox x:Name="ListBoxListItems" ItemsSource="{Binding Data, ElementName=GetListItems, Mode=OneWay}" Width="150" Margin="0,0,10,10" /> </StackPanel> </activity:Activity> </Grid> IValueConverter: public class ListItemtoIdListValueConverter: IValueConverter { #region IValueConverter Members public object Convert(object value, Type targetType, object parameter, System.Globalization.CultureInfo culture) { list mList = (list)value; if (mList != null) return mList.id; else return null; } public object ConvertBack(object value, Type targetType, object parameter, System.Globalization.CultureInfo culture) { throw new NotImplementedException(); } #endregion }

  • Issue with VS 2008 designer and usercontrol.

    Hello, I have created a custom data grid control. I dragged it on windows form and set its properties like column and all & ran the project. It built successfully and I am able to view the grid control on the form. Now if i try to view that form in designer, I am getting following error.. • Silverlight - use a ScrollViewer in a TextBox template

    - by vladhorby
    I'm trying to make a TextBox template and I need to include a ScrollViewer in the template - basically I want to add some content (like line numbers) that needs to scroll along with the normal text. The default template for the TextBox is like this: <Border x:Name="Border" BorderBrush="{TemplateBinding BorderBrush}" BorderThickness="{TemplateBinding BorderThickness}" Background="{TemplateBinding Background}" CornerRadius="1" Opacity="1"> <Grid> <Border x:Name="ReadOnlyVisualElement" Background="#5EC9C9C9" Opacity="0"/> <Border x:Name="MouseOverBorder" BorderBrush="Transparent" BorderThickness="1"> <ScrollViewer x:Name="ContentElement" BorderThickness="0" IsTabStop="False" Padding="{TemplateBinding Padding}"/> </Border> </Grid> </Border> If I change the ContentElement from ScrollViewer to Border, for example, the TextBox behaves normally - i just lose the scrolling ability. Now, if I wrap the ContentElement with a ScrollViewer, it no longer displays the caret and selection - if you type, it still gets updated though. <Border x:Name="Border" BorderBrush="{TemplateBinding BorderBrush}" BorderThickness="{TemplateBinding BorderThickness}" Background="{TemplateBinding Background}" CornerRadius="1" Opacity="1"> <Grid> <Border x:Name="ReadOnlyVisualElement" Background="#5EC9C9C9" Opacity="0"/> <Border x:Name="MouseOverBorder" BorderBrush="Transparent" BorderThickness="1"> <ScrollViewer ScrollViewer.HorizontalScrollBarVisibility="Auto" ScrollViewer.VerticalScrollBarVisibility="Auto" > <Border x:Name="ContentElement" BorderThickness="0" Padding="{TemplateBinding Padding}" /> </ScrollViewer> </Border> </Grid> </Border> Any idea why this happens and how can I fix it?

  • wpf - window to be tight round user control

    - by Andy Clarke
    Hi, I've got a user control that I'm loading into a Window dynamically - I wanted to set the Window so that it didn't have a size and then I thought the window to resize accordingly depending on the UserControl. However it dosn't - can anyone assist please? I've made a very basic example - I've cut out the dynamic bits and just put a UserControl in a Window. What do I need to do to get the window to be tight around the UserControl? Thanks, Andy <UserControl x:Class="WpfApplication1.UserControl1" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" Height="300" Width="300" Background="LightBlue"> <Grid> </Grid> </UserControl> <Window x:Class="WpfApplication1.Window1" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:WpfApplication1="clr-namespace:WpfApplication1" Title="Window1" > <Grid> <WpfApplication1:UserControl1> </WpfApplication1:UserControl1> </Grid> </Window>

  • Dynamicly set TextBlock's text binding

    - by Mitchell Skurnik
    I am attempting to write a multilingual application in Silverlight 4.0 and I at the point where I can start replacing my static text with dynamic text from a SampleData xaml file. Here is what I have: My Database <SampleData:something xmlns:SampleData="clr-namespace:Expression.Blend.SampleData.MyDatabase" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation"> <SampleData:something.mysystemCollection> <SampleData:mysystem ID="1" English="Menu" German="Menü" French="Menu" Spanish="Menú" Swedish="Meny" Italian="Menu" Dutch="Menu" /> </SampleData:something.mysystemCollection> </SampleData:something> My UserControl <UserControl xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:d="http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/blend/2008" xmlns:mc="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/markup-compatibility/2006" mc:Ignorable="d" x:Class="Something.MyUC" d:DesignWidth="1000" d:DesignHeight="600"> <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot" DataContext="{Binding Source={StaticResource MyDatabase}}"> <Grid Height="50" Margin="8,20,8,0" VerticalAlignment="Top" d:DataContext="{Binding mysystemCollection[1]}" x:Name="gTitle"> <TextBlock x:Name="Title" Text="{Binding English}" TextWrapping="Wrap" Foreground="#FF00A33D" TextAlignment="Center" FontSize="22"/> </Grid> </Grid> </UserControl> As you can see, I have 7 languages that I want to deal with. Right now this loads the English version of my text just fine. I have spent the better part of today trying to figure out how to change the binding in my code to swap this out when I needed (lets say when I change the language via drop down). Any help would be great!

  • Best way to change jqGrid rowNum from ALL to -1 before pass to a web service

    - by Billyhole
    I'm looking to find the best way to allow users to choose to show ALL records in a jqGrid. I know that a -1 value passed for the rows parameter denotes ALL, but I want the word "ALL" not a -1 to appear in the rowList select element, ie. rowList: [15, 50, 100, 'ALL']. I'm passing the grid request to a web service which accepts an int for "rows", and I'm trying find how and when I should change the user selected value of "ALL" to a -1 before it gets sent to the web service. Below is my cleaned up grid code. I tried some various code blocks before my $.ajax in the datatype function. But most attempts just seemed like I have to be doing this the most convoluted way I possibly could. For example, datatype: function(postdata) { if ($("#gridTableAssets").jqGrid('getGridParam', 'rowNum') == 'ALL') { $("#gridTableAssets").appendPostData({ "rows": -1, "page": 1 }); } $.ajax({... But doing that seemed to cause the actual "page" GridParam to be nulled out on subsequent grid actions, forcing me handle that in other places. There just seems like this is something that would be frequently done out there and have clean way of doing it. Cleaned grid code: $("#gridTableAssets").jqGrid({ datatype: function(postdata) { $.ajax({ url: "/Service/Repository.asmx/GetAssets", data: JSON.stringify(postdata), type: 'POST', contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", error: function(XMLHttpRequest, textStatus, errorThrown) { alert('error'); }, success: function(msg) { var assetsGrid = $("#gridTableAssets")[0]; assetsGrid.addJSONData(JSON.parse(msg)); ... } }); }, ... pager: $('#pagerAssets'), rowNum: 15, rowList: [15, 50, 100, 'ALL'], ... onPaging: function(index, colindex, sortorder) { SessionKeepAlive(); } }); And here is the web service [WebMethod] public string GetAssetsOfAssetStructure(bool _search, int rows, int page, string sidx, string sord, string filters)

  • RelayCommand sender from ItemsControl item

    - by Padu Merloti
    I've been using MVVM's RelayCommand with success to bind actions to XAML, but I'm having a small problem with my ItemsControl. <ItemsControl ItemsSource="{Binding Devices}" > <ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <Grid Width="100" Margin="4" > <Button Command="{Binding Path=SelectDeviceCommand}" > <Grid> <Image Source="img_small.png"></Image> <Image Source="{Binding Path=Logo}" /> </Grid> </Button> </Grid> </DataTemplate> </ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> </ItemsControl> In my view model: public RelayCommand SelectDeviceCommand { get; set; } private ObservableCollection<Device> Devices; Devices = CreateListOfDevices(); private void InitializeCommands() { SelectDeviceCommand = new RelayCommand((s) => MessageBox.Show(s.ToString())); } How do I define my SelectDeviceCommand in my view model in order to receive object that is bound to that item? My SelectDeviceCommand is not even being called... (but that I guess is because I need to make my Device a mini-viewmodel and implement the SelectDeviceCommand in it, is that correct?)

  • Insufferable word wrap in Visual Studio XAML editor - is there any relief for 2010?

    Just curious if the XAML editor is any better at auto-formatting and wrapping attributes in Visual Studio 2010. Here's how the editor auto wraps attributes in VS 2008: <StackPanel Grid.Row="0" Grid.ColumnSpan="3"> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal"> <TextBlock VerticalAlignment="Center" FontWeight="Bold" Text="Current User:" /> <ComboBox x:Name="_usersComboBox" Margin="5,0,0,0" Width="200" ItemsSource="{Binding Users}" SelectedValuePath="Name" SelectedValue="System Administration"> <ComboBox.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> Here's how I'd like the editor to auto wrap attributes: <StackPanel Grid.Row="0" Grid.ColumnSpan="3"> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal"> <TextBlock VerticalAlignment="Center" FontWeight="Bold" Text="Current User:" /> <ComboBox x:Name="_usersComboBox" Margin="5,0,0,0" Width="200" ItemsSource="{Binding Users}" SelectedValuePath="Name" SelectedValue="System Administration"> <ComboBox.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> Does VS 2010 grant my wish?

  • Why not systematically attach event in WPF instead of using delegate ?

    - by user310291
    For a button to handle event, we can add a delegate to the click property of the button: this.button1.Click += new System.EventHandler(this.button1_Click); But in WPF contrary to Winform, you can also attach a handler http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/cc785480.aspx So why not do so for the button ? Is performance better in first case maybe ? Update: I mean this Attached Events In order to enable elements to handle events that are declared in a different element, WPF supports something called attached events. Attached events are routed events that support a hookup in XAML on elements other than the type on which the event is declared. For example, if you want the Grid element to listen for a Button.Click event to bubble past, you would simply hook it up like the following: <Grid Button.Click="myButton_Click"> <Button Name="myButton" >Click Me</Button> </Grid> The resulting code in the compile-time-generated partial class now looks like this: #line 5 "..\..\Window1.xaml" ((System.Windows.Controls.Grid)(target)).AddHandler( System.Windows.Controls.Primitives.ButtonBase.ClickEvent, new System.Windows.RoutedEventHandler(this.myButton_Click));
