  • How to initialize one class from a library?

    Hi, I have a few classes in the class library (separate assembly). I referenced it to my project and I want to initialize one specific class from that library. I know only its name. All of the classes implements one interface. And here comes the problem. My code so far: using MyLibrary; ... IMyInterface dll = Activator.CreateInstance("MyLibrary", "MyLibrary.NameOfClass") as IMyInterface; But dll is always null. Any ideas? Thanks

  • windows control library in c sharp

    I have just added a textbox, button, label to validate ID of 12 characters. The library is called check_ID. It works fine. The only problem is i have to access the forecolor of label, backcolor of textbox , forecolor of button as per color scheme of the project. But it seems that none of the properties of the objects in check_ID are available for modification. I have even changed the modifier to public of all objects by repoening the check_ID project. Is there another way to access the properties of these objects that are created using windows control library?. A very big thanks in advance.

    Could anyone recommend FTP / SFTP client C/C++ library for Linux-based embedded system? I know about Curl library but I need something as simple as possible just to download files from FTP / SFTP servers. Is there any recommendation to look for? Yes, SFTP support is critical. Actually I can even sacrifice multi-threading because I need only one stream at a time. And I'd like it to be able to work through memory buffers but this should be not a problem.   • Class Library Project VS App_Code - Pros / Cons?

    I currently use the App_Code folder for all of my classes, and for me (for now) it seems to be working just fine. I have however been considering making the switch over to a Class Library Project inside my Solution instead of the App_Code folder. Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of doing this? One thought I had was with regards to testing my web app. If I use a Class Library, do I have to compile it every time I want to tweak/test? Obviously in the App_Code folder I don't have to since all of the Classes compile at runtime.

  • Excel VBA and InternetExplorer causing errors on website

    I have some "clever" users who have written an excel spreadsheet that automates some of their tasks on our intranet/timesheet. It seems as if the instance of Internet Explorer that is created is not doing everything I expect a browser to do, e.g. set cookies. Is there a way to detect if a user is hitting a web site with a VBA com object instance of Internet Explorer? I can't keep users from building creative solutions but I want to be able to handle them. thanks

I call the object frame ExcelFrame and I add a text box on the form called txtA1 and I add a button on the form called cmdInsert I want to type "Hello World" into the text box, click the button and have it appear in the A1 cell on that spreadsheet.     I have an excel sheet that contains two rectangles and text in other cells. I need to allow users to only edit the text in the rectangle. They should not be able to change the size of the object. Applying lock on the rectangle locks the object as well as the text. Does anyone know how I can achieve this?

    Can you figure out the numeric equivalent of an Excel column string in the shortest-possible way, using your favorite language? For example, the A column is 1, B is 2, so on and so forth. Once you hit Z, the next column becomes AA, then AB and so on. Rules: Here is some sample input and output: A: 1 B: 2 AD: 30 ABC: 731 WTF: 16074 ROFL: 326676 I don't know if the submitter is allowed to post a solution, but I have a Perl solution that clocks in at 125 characters :).

    Is it possible in Excel 2007 to customise the floating format bar that is shown when you right-click on a cell? To avoid confusion, I don't mean the "Cell" commandbar menu, but the second floating toolbar with formatting buttons. e.g. is it possible to add a Styles dropdown, or have any other text alignment option than centre?
