  I'm getting the classic 'mvc4 installer is incompatible with .net 4.5' that many others have gotten except I do not have .Net 4.5 installed on this machine. MVC3 projects getting created just fine. I get this error when running the Web Installer for MVC4 Beta. System setup is VS2010 SP1, Windows 7 64-bit, Resharper is installed as well I am at a loss here and now seem to be just wasting time trying to fix this.

I'd like to generate cross-platform paths relative to Maven's built-in property ${basedir}. The problem is that under Windows, ${basedir} resolves to a path containing Windows-style slashes. Is there an easy way for me to get ${basedir} into a form that always uses Unix-style slashes even under Windows?

  I'm looking for a feature somewhat like the vertical red 80 columns marker in NetBeans but one that's easier to use. I'd like it to function more like the tabs in MS Word except that the horizontal line is displayed on the entire file. I looked on the Comparison of Text Editors over at Wikipedia and I didn't find that "vertical ruler" was one of their features. It would be used to line up html tags in a massive file that I did not create, but have to maintain.

  I'm trying to create a vertical toggle switch control for the iPhone (along the lines of UISwitch but vertical sliding). I was wondering whether an existing control already existed or if there are any good tutorials that explain the basics of creating custom controls for the iPhone. Currently I've tried using affine transforms to create the vertical switch from a basic UIswitch, and it works except that the slider is too small compared to the slider track, thus I'm looking for information on writing custom controls.   Is it possible to specify the value of a tag or attribute should not be like some_value ? I have a strange requirement, where the xsd isn't aware of the values being sent to it. The value of that particular tag can be a string with any value except one value ( say data_migration). The sender should be acknowledged with the error, if that particular value is sent.   Hello. I'm writing a ajax chatting webapp, just to test working with GWT. To simulate server side push of chat messages from the server to the browser, I have a XHR request running behind. It all works fine - except on Chrome, the browser is displaying a loading icon (a spinner) because of the XHR request on background. Is there any way to avoid this? I've tested it in Firefox, and it doesn't display such behavior.

I'm confused though as the class MPMoviePlayerController states that: You can control most aspects of playback programmatically using the methods and properties of the MPMediaPlayback protocol, to which this class conforms. Except just above in the header here: http://developer.apple.com/iphone/library/documentation/MediaPlayer/Reference/MPMoviePlayerController_Class/MPMoviePlayerController/MPMoviePlayerController.html it doesn't seem to. All I want to do is slow down the playback rate for a video.
