Mail not piping in postfix

I have setup a postfix server and wanted to test the piping of mail to my perl script where i can make use of it and filter the mails.I wrote a test script for that which just logs the information in txt file.
but i don't see any changes on sending the mail.

I am sending mails through telnet in localhost.
