  • Nhiberate, multiple tables, same class

    - by jeff
It's been asked a million times, its like this. Say Invoice is the base class and InvoiceHistory is the class that simply inherits from Invoice. When I do something like invoiceList = session.CreateCriteria(typeof(Invoice)).List(); I get everything from Invoice (that I want, plus everything from InvoiceHistory). Do I need to have an InvoiceBase and create derived versions for Invoice and InvoiceHistory?

  • Turning user ID into name (seperate tables) in PHP

    - by mobile
I am currently trying to display the username of people who i am following, the problem is that during the following process, only the ID of me and the person i'm following is stored. I've got it to the point where the ID's are displayed but i'd like to show the names hyperlinked. $p_id is the profile ID. Here's what I've got: $following = mysql_query("SELECT `follower`, `followed` FROM user_follow WHERE follower=$p_id"); I am following: <?php while($apple = mysql_fetch_array($following)){ echo '<a href="'.$apple['followed'].'">+'.$apple['followed'].'</a> '; }?> The usernames are in a different table "users" under the field "username" - I need them to match up with the ID's that are currently displayed, and be displayed. Any help appreciated, thanks guys

  • How can I Include Multiples Tables in my linq to entities eager loading using mvc4 C#

    - by EBENEZER CURVELLO
I have 6 classes and I try to use linq to Entities to get the SiglaUF information of the last deeper table (in the view - MVC). The problem is I receive the following error: "The ObjectContext instance has been disposed and can no longer be used for operations that require a connection." The view is like that: > @model IEnumerable<DiskPizzaDelivery.Models.EnderecoCliente> > @foreach (var item in Model) { > @Html.DisplayFor(modelItem => item.CEP.Cidade.UF.SiglaUF) > } The query that i use: var cliente = context.Clientes .Include(e => e.Enderecos) .Include(e1 => e1.Enderecos.Select(cep => cep.CEP)) .SingleOrDefault(); The question is: How Can I improve this query to pre loading (eager loading) "Cidade" and "UF"? See below the classes: public partial class Cliente { [Key] [DatabaseGeneratedAttribute(DatabaseGeneratedOption.Identity)] public int IdCliente { get; set; } public string Email { get; set; } public string Senha { get; set; } public virtual ICollection<EnderecoCliente> Enderecos { get; set; } } public partial class EnderecoCliente { public int IdEndereco { get; set; } public int IdCliente { get; set; } public string CEPEndereco { get; set; } public string Numero { get; set; } public string Complemento { get; set; } public string PontoReferencia { get; set; } public virtual Cliente Cliente { get; set; } public virtual CEP CEP { get; set; } } public partial class CEP { public string CodCep { get; set; } public string Tipo_Logradouro { get; set; } public string Logradouro { get; set; } public string Bairro { get; set; } public int CodigoUF { get; set; } public int CodigoCidade { get; set; } public virtual Cidade Cidade { get; set; } } public partial class Cidade { public int CodigoCidade { get; set; } public string NomeCidade { get; set; } public int CodigoUF { get; set; } public virtual ICollection<CEP> CEPs { get; set; } public virtual UF UF { get; set; } public virtual ICollection<UF> UFs { get; set; } } public partial class UF { public int CodigoUF { get; set; } public string SiglaUF { get; set; } public string NomeUF { get; set; } public int CodigoCidadeCapital { get; set; } public virtual ICollection<Cidade> Cidades { get; set; } public virtual Cidade Cidade { get; set; } } var cliente = context.Clientes .Where(c => c.Email == email) .Where(c => c.Senha == senha) .Include(e => e.Enderecos) .Include(e1 => e1.Enderecos.Select(cep => cep.CEP)) .SingleOrDefault(); Thanks!

  • NHibernate: Using value tables for optimization AND dynamic join

    - by Kostya
Hi all, My situation is next: there are to entities with many-to-many relation, f.e. Products and Categories. Also, categories has hierachial structure, like a tree. There is need to select all products that depends to some concrete category with all its childs (branch). So, I use following sql statement to do that: SELECT * FROM Products p WHERE p.ID IN ( SELECT DISTINCT pc.ProductID FROM ProductsCategories pc INNER JOIN Categories c ON c.ID = pc.CategoryID WHERE c.TLeft >= 1 AND c.TRight <= 33378 ) But with big set of data this query executes very long and I found some solution to optimize it, look at here: DECLARE @CatProducts TABLE ( ProductID int NOT NULL ) INSERT INTO @CatProducts SELECT DISTINCT pc.ProductID FROM ProductsCategories pc INNER JOIN Categories c ON c.ID = pc.CategoryID WHERE c.TLeft >= 1 AND c.TRight <= 33378 SELECT * FROM Products p INNER JOIN @CatProducts cp ON cp.ProductID = p.ID This query executes very fast but I don't know how to do that with NHIbernate. Note, that I need use only ICriteria because of dynamic filtering\ordering. If some one knows a solution for that, it will be fantastic. But I'll pleasure to any suggestions of course. Thank you ahead, Kostya

  • Symfony use NativeSQL to JOIN unrelated tables

    - by keybored
    I'd like to run a query like this: $rsm = new ResultSetMappingBuilder($this->em); $rsm->addRootEntityFromClassMetadata('myBundle:Foo', 'f'); $rsm->addRootEntityFromClassMetadata('myBundle:Bar', 'b'); $sql = 'SELECT l.*, b.* FROM foos f INNER JOIN FROM bars b ON b.baz_id = f.baz_id WHERE l.bam = 1'; $query = $this->em->createNativeQuery($sql, $rsm); $fooBarQuery= $query->getResult(); Unfortunately this is not a situation where I can set up a proper relationship in the entity. Is not going to be possible for me to do this? Thanks.

  • Using CSS instead of tables to create a centered column of images

    - by pcampbell
Consider the task of replacing this table with CSS stylings: <table border="1"> <tr><td align="center"> <img src="foo" /> </td></tr> <tr><td align="center"> <img src="bar" /> </td></tr> <tr><td align="center"> <img src="bat" /> </td></tr> </table> The desired output is 3 images stacked on top of each other. The images are centered on the widest of them all. How would you style this markup with <div> around those <img> tags with CSS to achieve the same look?

  • Purpose of front() and back() in assigning values in a Queue? (C++)

    - by kevin
I have declared: queue<int, list<int> > Q After a series of calls: Q.push(37); Q.pop(); Q.push(19); Q.push(3); Q.push(13); Q.front(); Q.push(22); Q.push(8); Q.back(); I get: 19-3-13-22-8-NULL What I don't get is what the calls to Q.front() and Q.back() do. From what I understand, they return a reference to the first or last elements respectively, but I dont see how my list would be any different had those calls not been made. Do they have any effect? Sorry if this seems trivial, but I'm trying to figure out of those calls have a purpose, or of my professor is just trying to screw with me.

  • MySQL Database || Tables Issue

    - by user1780103
I'm trying to write up a script where the user is able to purchase an amount of points for dollars. I want the transaction to be inserted into MySQL. I keep facing a: "Column count doesn't match value count at row 1" error. And I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I have written up this: mysql_query("INSERT INTO paypal_donations VALUES (NULL, ".$account_id.", ".$char_id.", ".$price.", ".$dp.", NOW(), NOW(), 'Started', 0, 0, '', '');") or die(mysql_error()); But I don't know what to execute in MySQL, since I've never worked with it before. Could anyone write up a quick script that I can insert into MySQL for it to work.

  • hash tables and 2d vectors

    - by Sunil
    I want to push a 2d vector into a hash table row by row and later search for a row (vector) in the hash table and want to be able to find it. I want to do something like #include <iostream> #include <set> #include <vector> using namespace std; int main(){ std::set < vector<int> > myset; vector< vector<int> > v; int k = 0; for ( int i = 0; i < 5; i++ ) { v.push_back ( vector<int>() ); for ( int j = 0; j < 5; j++ ) v[i].push_back ( k++ ); } for ( int i = 0; i < 5; i++ ) { std::copy(v[i].begin(),v[i].end(),std::inserter(myset)); // This is not correct but what is the right way ? // and also here, I want to search for a particular vector if it exists in the table. for ex. the second row of vector v. } return 0; } I'm not sure how to insert and look up a vector in a set. So if nybody could guide me, it will be helpful. Thanks

  • MySQL pivot tables - covert rows to columns

    - by user2723490
This is the structure of my table: Then I run a query SELECT `date`,`index_name`,`results` FROM `mst_ind` WHERE `index_name` IN ('MSCI EAFE Mid NR USD', 'Alerian MLP PR USD') AND `time_period`='M1' and get a table like How can I convert "index_name" rows to columns like: date | MSCI EAFE Mid NR USD | Alerian MLP PR USD etc In other words I need each column to represent an index and rows to represent date-result. I understand that MySQL doesn't have pivot table functions. What is the easiest way of doing this? I've tried this code, but it generates an error: SELECT `date`, MAX(IF(index_name = 'Alerian MLP PR USD' AND `time_period`='M1', results, NULL)) AS res1, MAX(IF(index_name = 'MSCI EAFE Mid NR USD' AND `time_period`='M1', results, NULL)) AS res2 FROM `mst_ind` GROUP BY `date I need to make the conversion on the query level - not PHP. Please suggest a nice and elegant solution. Thanks!

  • how do indices in mysql tables (MyISAM) work?

    - by understack
Few basic doubts I have: 1. Is primary key column automatically indexed? 2. What should be criteria to select index column? 3. When should I club multiple columns? 4. Does MyISAM or InnoDB has any affect on this? 5. Are they really required, specially in case if primary key column is automatically indexed? Thanks.

  • Does the google crawler really guess URL patterns and index pages that were never linked against?

    - by Dominik
I'm experiencing problems with indexed pages which were (probably) never linked to. Here's the setup: Data-Server: Application with RESTful interface which provides the data Website A: Provides the data of (1) at http://website-a.example.com/?id=RESOURCE_ID Website B: Provides the data of (1) at http://website-b.example.com/?id=OTHER_RESOURCE_ID So the whole, non-private data is stored on (1) and the websites (2) and (3) can fetch and display this data, which is a representation of the data with additional cross-linking between those. In fact, the URL /?id=1 of website-a points to the same resource as /?id=1 of website-b. However, the resource id:1 is useless at website-b. Unfortunately, the google index for website-b now contains several links of resources belonging to website-a and vice versa. I "heard" that the google crawler tries to determine the URL-pattern (which makes sense for deciding which page should go into the index and which not) and furthermore guesses other URLs by trying different values (like "I know that id 1 exists, let's try 2, 3, 4, ..."). Is there any evidence that the google crawler really behaves that way (which I doubt). My guess is that the google crawler submitted a HTML-Form and somehow got links to those unwanted resources. I found some similar posted questions about that, including "Google webmaster central: indexing and posting false pages" [link removed] however, none of those pages give an evidence.

  • Searching Week-wise/Month-wise record counts(number) and the StartDate+EndDate(datetime) of the Week

    - by Muzaffar Ali Rana
I have a question in connection to this question earlier posted by me:- http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2452984/daily-weekly-monthly-record-count-search-via-storedprocedure I want to have the Count of Calls on Weekly-basis and Monthly-basis, Daily-basis issue is resolved. ISSUE NUMBER @1:Weekly-basis Count of Calls and Start-Date and End-Date of Week I have searched the Start-Date and End-Date of Week including their individual Count of Calls as well in the below-mentioned query. But the problem is that I could not get the result in one single table, although I have used the Temporary Tables(#TempTable+#TempTable2). Kindly help me in this regards. NOTE:Table Creation commented as for executing more than once. ----- *** TABLE CREATION OF #TempTable & #TempTable2 *** ---------- --CREATE TABLE #TempTable( StartDate datetime,EndDate datetime,CallCount numeric(18,5)) --CREATE TABLE #TempTable2( StartDate datetime,EndDate datetime,CallCount numeric(18,5)) DECLARE @StartDate datetime,@EndDate datetime,@StartDateTemp1 datetime,@StartDateTemp2 datetime,@EndDateTemp datetime,@Period varchar(50); SET @StartDate='1/1/2010'; SET @EndDate='2/28/2010'; SET @StartDateTemp1=@StartDate; SET @StartDateTemp2=DATEADD(dd, 7, @StartDate ); SET @Period='Weekly'; IF (@Period = 'Weekly') BEGIN WHILE ((@StartDate <= @StartDateTemp1) AND (@StartDateTemp2 <= @EndDate)) BEGIN IF((@StartDateTemp1 < @StartDateTemp2 ) AND (@StartDateTemp1 != @StartDateTemp2) ) BEGIN SELECT convert(varchar, @StartDateTemp1, 106) AS 'Start Date', convert(varchar, @StartDateTemp2, 106) AS 'End Date', COUNT(*) AS 'Call Count' FROM TRN_Call WHERE (CallTime = @StartDateTemp1 AND CallTime <= @StartDateTemp2 ); END SET @StartDateTemp1 = DATEADD(dd, 7, @StartDateTemp1); SET @StartDateTemp2 = DATEADD(dd, 7, @StartDateTemp2); END END ISSUE NUMBER @2:Monthly-basis Count of Calls and Start-Date and End-Date of Week In this case, I have the same search, but will have to search the Call Counts plus the Start-Date and End-Date of the Month. Kindly help me in this regards as well.

  • MySql: Problem when using a temporary table

    - by Alex
Hi, I'm trying to use a temporary tables to store some values I need for a query. The reason of using a temporary table is that I don't want to store the data permanently so different users can modify it at the same time. That data is just stored for a second, so I think a temporary table is the best approach for this. The thing is that it seems that the way I'm trying to use it is not right (the query works if I use a permanent one). This is an example of query: CREATE TEMPORARY TABLE SearchMatches (PatternID int not null primary key, Matches int not null) INSERT INTO SearchMatches (PatternID, Matches) VALUES ('12605','1'),('12503','1'),('12587','2'),('12456','1'), ('12457','2'),('12486','2'),('12704','1'),(' 12686','1'), ('12531','2'),('12549','1'),('12604','1'),('12504','1'), ('12586','1'),('12548','1'),('12 530','1'),('12687','2'), ('12485','1'),('12705','1') SELECT pat.id, signatures.signature, products.product, versions.version, builds.build, pat.log_file, sig_types.sig_type, pat.notes, pat.kb FROM patterns AS pat INNER JOIN signatures ON pat.signature = signatures.id INNER JOIN products ON pat.product = products.id INNER JOIN versions ON pat.version = versions.id INNER JOIN builds ON pat.build = builds.id INNER JOIN sig_types ON pat.sig_type = sig_types.id, SearchMatches AS sm INNER JOIN patterns ON patterns.id = sm.PatternID WHERE sm.Matches <> 0 ORDER BY sm.Matches DESC, products.product, versions.version, builds.build LIMIT 0 , 50 Any suggestion? Thanks.

  • Child sProc cannot reference a Local temp table created in parent sProc

    - by John Galt
On our production SQL2000 instance, we have a database with hundreds of stored procedures, many of which use a technique of creating a #TEMP table "early" on in the code and then various inner stored procedures get EXECUTEd by this parent sProc. In SQL2000, the inner or "child" sProc have no problem INSERTing into #TEMP or SELECTing data from #TEMP. In short, I assume they can all refer to this #TEMP because they use the same connection. In testing with SQL2008, I find 2 manifestations of different behavior. First, at design time, the new "intellisense" feature is complaining in Management Studio EDIT of the child sProc that #TEMP is an "invalid object name". But worse is that at execution time, the invoked parent sProc fails inside the nested child sProc. Someone suggested that the solution is to change to ##TEMP which is apparently a global temporary table which can be referenced from different connections. That seems too drastic a proposal both from the amount of work to chase down all the problem spots as well as possible/probable nasty effects when these sProcs are invoked from web applications (i.e. multiuser issues). Is this indeed a change in behavior in SQL2005 or SQL2008 regarding #TEMP (local temp tables)? We skipped 2005 but I'd like to learn more precisely why this is occuring before I go off and try to hack out the needed fixes. Thanks.
